"Amelia, what's up?" Aiden's mom asked, super friendly. "Didn't expect to bump into you here. Was just about to grab some bomb cookies for you, but turns out you already knew this spot. Looks like we both got that taste, dear!"
Aiden froze. He might've believed Amelia's lies a few weeks back to hide her thing with Nick. But now, no way. Something he didn't know was up, and Amelia was hiding it.
Aiden's mom just realized something was off with her son's expression. "Aiden?" she whispered, getting no response. She then turned to Amelia and saw her on the verge of tears.
Can't blame her, busted again, for the second time, with Nick. How's she gonna lie her way out of this one? What else could she possibly say to cover all this up?
"Ah, who's this young man? Don't you wanna introduce him to us, Amelia?" Aiden's mom asked with a cheery voice that... kinda lost its cheer. Her mature soul was like, this guy with Amelia's gotta be her guy.
