Rendell and the others brought the captured Black Rats back to the basement. Because of their massive sizes, it took them almost half a day to transport all the Black Rats into the basement.
Kent, Phillip, and Ralph leveled up simultaneously after killing the Black Rats, further strengthening their physical abilities.
Phillip used his accumulated attribute points to increase his speed stat, making his speed only second to Rendell. Meanwhile, Ralph added all of his attribute points to his Endurance. This was in line with his role as the main tank of the group. On the other hand, Kent added everything to his mana.
"It went better than I expected," Kent muttered as he pushed up his glasses. When he planned the whole strategy, he was already expecting some casualties. He didn't expect everyone to come back unharmed. Even their levels went up significantly!
"Well, that's because he did most of the work." James shook his head with a bitter smile. He saw Rendell taking on the alpha and more than ten Black Rats all by himself. To make things even more shocking, Rendell killed the alpha in just a few moves!
"The alpha of the colony was probably above Level 10 based on its size and overwhelming presence, but he took it down so effortlessly," Celine added in an admiring tone.
"He's already that strong?" Kent furrowed his eyebrows in surprise.
James and Celine nodded.
Phillip who happened to hear their conversation suddenly spoke. "Just what is driving that guy to do all those things?"
They became silent at his words. No one knew Rendell's real identity. Even Aurora who was the closest to him didn't know much about Rendell.
At this moment, Rendell was busy sorting out all the dropped items they collected from the Black Rats.
Aurora who was behind him asked in a grumbling voice. "How should we deal with these items?"
Rendell stared at her and then towards the pile of items. Their bags had limited capacities so they couldn't bring all the items with them. However, they were too valuable for them to leave. This put them in a dilemma.
"If only there was an item that can store all these things…" He muttered while shaking his head.
Aurora also sighed in regret.
"Go and find someone who can help us sort these items. Let's separate the important ones and put them inside our bags. As for the rest, let Kent decide what we should do with them." Rendell was helpless about this matter.
"Alright." Aurora stood up and went to look for Kent.
After she left, Rendell noticed Sherry and Goldie playing with the War Lion. It was still as small as a cat. If he hadn't seen it fight, he would have been fooled by its cute appearance.
"Sherry, look at this. It looks like a sock, but where is its pair?" Goldie's innocent voice drifted into his ears. The contents of her words made him curious so he stopped what he was doing to look at her.
"Goldie, that's not a sock. That's a dirty bag. Ew! Just leave it there." Sherry muttered with a disgusted look.
Goldie immediately dropped the item after hearing her sister's words. She then flew away while crying.
Sherry followed her sister while giggling mischievously.
Rendell chuckled as he watched them leave. "Those kids." He walked towards the 'dirty bag' that they threw away and picked it up.
Dirty But Amazing Bag
- Unlike its unlikable appearance, this bag has a very unique ability. Inside it is a separate space of ten cubic meters that can store any kind of thing!
When he saw the description of the bag, Rendell's eyes flashed with joy. "Those two are our lucky stars." He couldn't help but smile.
"Rendell, I brought Kent and Lina here. What did you find over there?" Aurora's voice echoed behind him.
Rendell turned around and saw Aurora looking at him curiously. Kent and Lina also stared at him with bizarre gazes, wondering why he was holding a dirty sock.
Rendell was too lazy to explain so he tossed the bag to them and said. "You will know once you see it."
Kent caught the bag. He then read its description. "Hm!?" A moment later, his eyes widened in shock and joy.
"What is it? Give it to me?" Aurora became more curious when she saw the change in his expression.
Lina also wanted to know what it was, but she was too shy to speak.
"Woah!" Aurora's eyes flashed with excitement. She then handed the bag to Lina, but she didn't show the same reaction after she read the description.
"Is this item very special?" She asked.
Kent stared at her oddly.
"With this item, we no longer need to carry so many bags. This will save us a lot of time and energy." Aurora explained with a serious look.
"She is right. We carry a lot of loads all the time and it consumes a lot of our energy. With that item, we no longer have to worry about carrying so many things. It's like a mobile warehouse." Kent said as he pushed up his glasses.
After hearing their words, Lina finally realized how important the bag was.
"You guys help me sort them out first. We will distribute the items later once everything has been sorted properly." Rendell interrupted their conversation.
"Alright! Let's do this!"
While they were sorting out the items inside the Dirty But Amazing Bag, Rendell found out that he could see a mental image of the space inside the bag. He could also put anything into a specific location inside the ten cubic space.
When he relayed this information to the three, they were pleasantly surprised.
"That's amazing! No wonder it has that name!" Lina exclaimed.
"Yes, but it looks ugly and dirty." Aurora chuckled while shaking her head.
"That's actually good," Kent said.
"Huh?" Aurora was baffled by his words.
"If it looks ugly, no one will take a second glance at it. This will keep anyone from knowing what it truly is." Kent added.
Aurora revealed a look of realization upon hearing this.
