Takashi had been pierced through the chest, and the blood inside him was starting to gush out.
His eyes darkened as he thought of his son.
"I'm sorry to leave you alone, my dear son." Takashi whispers, and he falls hard to the ground with no strength left.
The anomaly removes his sword from Takashi's body and looks at the dead sergeant in front of him.
"Dad!" Shin screams, seeing his father killed by that monster, as tears fall down his face.
The Pentagon panel disappears and the video of his father suffering his tragic fate ends.
"I don't feel ready to see what my mother's fate would be like." Shin said in a deprecating tone of voice, fearing for his mother's future.
But as luck would have it, the pentagon would remain in operation, all at the will of the divine.
The glow on the thin lines of the pentagon was reassuring… it gradually began to calm Shin down for a moment and forget that last video from the past.
The boy wiped away his tears and took a few deep, calming breaths to focus on his goal.
If he had total control over his dream, he might as well try to react in the best way possible without getting too mentally damaged.
He stood up straight, placing his right hand on the edge below the Pentagon to lift it a little.
"Show me the fate of the Lioness." Said Shin in a calm voice and without showing any negative feeling in his tone.
The digital screen above the Pentagon began to appear in the form of an image distortion known as a glitch, symbolizing Polygon's last gamble, which was to show his mother's fate.
Shin watched the video carefully and if he had any doubts, he could redirect his voice to the Pentagon.
The video showed his mother sitting in a chair similar to a bar, analyzing some vials fitted into a small piece of equipment on top of the scientific experiment bench.
It was a relatively large room with a huge glass window at the back of the lab, where there was a view of many plants and trees on the other side of the tempered glass.
There was a lot of equipment to be used in different ways. Whether for storing minerals, liquids extracted from a restricted area or from a living being, general defibrillators for cardiac treatments for some animals and specific species, and so on.
At the time, Emi Nanoa was doing everything she could to produce rare medicines that no ordinary scientist could create in their laboratory.
She wanted so much to create medicines that could be used as cures for cancer, AIDS, Ebola, allergic rhinitis and many other diseases that could rarely be treated and given a successful outcome depending on the patient.
However, she also loved and very much wanted to produce medicines for beings that are not naturalized to planet earth… where she could use them for sick species without having to cause collateral damage.
Since species that come from another world have a habit of using and making food and medicines that are not from Earth.
In a small room in Emi's laboratory, there were some newborn species being well cared for in a space recommended for their location.
They were in boxes made of tempered glass with a small mattress inside.
Among all those beings, there were of course the Vinxurians… the main species that humans are more familiar with than other beings.
Having the same anatomy and psychological characteristics as humans made it easier to study and analyze the inner workings of this species.
It took years for human technology to reach the similarity of Vinxurian technology... which was much more advanced than ours.
However, what complicated these experiments the most was the continuous growth of the Vinxurians… because naturally in their bodily evolution, they can become more rigid and aggressive.
And it's obvious that a human being would never be able to easily stop the strength of a Vinxurian… unless there was a union between the two.
Which is already the hardest job of all, mutually uniting a species like this.
As has already been shown, everything depends on a sacred ritual to bring about a mutual union between a human being and a Vinxurian.
By becoming one, the host and the Vinx share a large portion of their own cells, their unique genetics, small attributes that could be improved as a level from the moments of life.
Both violently, socially, in full knowledge and so on.
After the ritual, everything is worked out in order to achieve the perfection of the two individuals.
However… something happened in that laboratory where Emi worked.
"Wait, let me explain this Kohon!" Emi exclaimed, putting her arms out in front of the door that led to the species incubator room.
The head of the company didn't hesitate to push Emi aside and enter the room where she had studied the beings for so long.
What Kohon had seen was frightening, and he couldn't accept that it had been stored there for so long, right under his eyes.
As a result, there was a mix-up in his laboratory, leaving him out of the supposed project for an indefinite period of time.
Emi, paying her price, was temporarily dismissed from the company and her newborn Vinxurian remained in an hourglass covered in an amethyst-colored liquid inside, held by her hands.
She wouldn't know what to do, as she would not have all the tools she needed to maintain the proper development of her offspring. She had now been expelled from the laboratory for this issue that not even the pentagon could show.
"Wait… why didn't you show me all the details?" Shin asks, throwing the pentagon forward with force.
The polygon remains floating and only says three words.
"It's time." Said the Pentagon in his mind and quickly everything went dark.
