Teresa was delighted. They looked amazing!
"Up pup pup!"
"Owww"
Frankie slapped her hand as she reached out to take a closer look at the weapons.
"What was that for?!"
"I 'ave a process for these things! Let me explain everything an' then you can do whatevah you want"
"Fine...you didn't have to get slappy about it..."
Etlas, wanting to clear the atmosphere, then started
"It's his usu-"
"So! Ere's what you need to know 'bout me weapons!"
"Frankie!"
"Time is 'o the essence"
"Ugh..."
"First of all, you're not to touch it before it has been given a name! Unnerstood?"
"Yeah"
"Good! Now I'll explain what it's made ou' of. The greatsword was made ou' of the hardest metal alloy on this planet, Silursian alloy. Made with three metals, Hersial, Gypra and Siluran gold. All me weapons are maserpieces, but I'm real prou' of this one"
Etlas then proceeded to talk about the scythe.
"The scythe was produced by Ionised Hermesan ore, a midnight black ore known for its malleability. I know normal scythes aren't supposed to-What?"
Frankie was staring at him as if he had killed his mother.
"What? You're askin' me what?"
"Why can't I do the explanations sometimes! I know what I'm talking about!"
"Tha's my job! Bugger off!"
"Go spin a web"
Frankie gasped, "You little-"
"Do you two always argue like this?"
They both turned to look at Teresa. Then turned to look at each other, then turned back to face Teresa.
""Yes""
"Uh huh ok, get on with it please, I don't like towns"
"Look at that Frankie! You don't want the customer to be unsatisfied, do you?"
"No"
"Then I'm going to continue my explanation no-"
Frankie looked like he was about to say something, glanced at Teresa, then turned around and walked away while cursing under his breath.
"Sorry Teresa, he gets grumpy when he doesn't get his way"
Teresa giggled, "Like a child"
"Hahaha yeah, like a child. Anyway, like I was saying, Hermasan ore is extremely tough, but it is also incredibly flexible, making it easy to shape and mold. Best for weapons like scythes and some spears. Mainly for swinging weapons though, doesn't do well with stabbing"
"I'm sure the little one will love it"
"Thank you. You know, as childlike as Frankie is, and as annoying as he can sometimes be, he really is great at making weapons. I don't think anyone can match up to him in this country, let alone this city. Shame he can't open up a big shop and get more recognition"
"Why can't he?"
Etlas just shook his head.
"I'll wrap the weapons in cloth and give them to you. Remember not to touch them before you name them. Also make sure that only the person who will be wielding them gets to name them"
Etlas started wrapping the two weapons gently, careful not to touch them with his bare hands, using the wind to slowly lift the weapons to make them easier to wrap.
"Why?"
"Weapons have rules as well, we just choose whether to respect them enough to follow. We respect them. Do you?"
Etlas looked at Teresa meaningfully. Teresa looked at the weapons floating in the air.
"No, I'm not a human, and I've never used a weapon in my life, unless you count my magic. But I'm hoping the child will"
Etlas smiled, "Here's to hoping"
Once they were safely wrapped and handed to her. Frankie returned from the back. He looked a bit...smug.
Etlas knew instantly that something was wrong. He turned toward him instantly.
"What did you do?"
"Oh nothin'-"
"What did you do?!"
"Weelllllll, you know tha' jar o' biscuits-"
"MY BISCUITS!!!"
Etlas ran toward the back like lighting, hopping over the counter and sprinting to the rooms behind the workstation. All while Frankie was grinning.
"Hehehehehehe~"
"What happened?"
"Ere's your weapons, giv' the kid a pat on the 'ead for me, now go before Etlas comes ou'. Trus' me, you don't want to be 'ere"
"Uhh, okay..."
Teresa took the two weapons and started walking towards the exit. As soon as she made it out, she heard a loud wail come from the store behind her.
Curious, she turned around, but as soon as she turned she saw the store rumbling and shaking, before a giant cloud of dust just blew at her face at top speed.
'Huh. He was right, I don't want to be here'
She sped away from the store and bumped into Alex. Alex saw her running away carrying something in a cloth and looked towards the store.
At first, he thought that she had stole something, but realised very quickly that it was impossible to steal something from that store. Then he remembered who ran the store and chuckled. Of course.
Seeing the dust cloud and hearing the rumbling, he smiled and took off running after Teresa.
'Looks like their up to their usual shenanigans. Seriously, they don't know how to behave at all. Hahaha! They're my kind of people!'
"Hey, wait for me! I'm coming too!"
Alex caught up with Teresa and started running with her, weaving through the crowded streets, quickly making their way to the town's gate.
"So, did you like the store, Mama Rhino?"
Teresa looked at Alex, pondered for a bit, before flashing a smile at him.
"Yeah! It was great!"
"Good! I'm glad you liked it!"
"I'm very sure the little one will like it too once I bring him here!"
"You're planning to return?"
"Hmm...maybe after a while, I don't like the town much, and after this excitement, I definitely need a break"
"I love the excitement, why would you ever need a break from this"
"Oh, it's good to be young, but I cannot handle the excitement you little ones can handle"
"Don't you worry Mama Rhino, I'll handle all the excitement for you"
Teresa nodded her head. "I like that name"
"I wouldn't have changed it anyway hahaha"
Alex sped ahead while Teresa grinned and ran to catch up to him. Just like that, the two crossed the gate, leaving the bustling town and speeding off into the solitary plains.
