"My, my, you are seriously funny, brother. I came to see your devastating look, but it looks like I got to see an even funnier look." Aaron turned, took out a healing potion, and gave it to me. "Get well quickly so that I can kill you with my own hands."
'It looks like he's not that bad. Maybe there's something I don't know about Aaron from the memory I received. He's talking all high and mighty as if he really wants to kill me, but why he can't kill me now, isn't this a good chance to get rid of me? What's the point of giving me a healing potion? Maybe he thinks I am Arnold and powerless, so he's thinking of poisoning me. But even if it is a healing potion, why would I need it? As an angel, I have the highest healing power than any human.'
I walked towards him and said, "So kind of you, little bro. If you're giving this to me, I will gladly accept it. I am teary because I'm happy to see you here. I didn't think you would come to see me. These are tears of happiness. And for this healing potion i think you will need it more than me."
I came near him, but he stepped back. It looks like he is wary of me. This human—I'm not sure what he is planning, and I can't figure it out.
"Don't try to come near, you reek of the smell of blood." He made a face as if he felt disgusted. "It looks like my sweet little bro doesn't like the smell of blood. But what can I do? I am a discarded person. What can a discarded person like me make a living with? I need to heal people who hunt monsters. I don't feel this is a place suitable for a young master like you. You see I didn't even took bath for a week."
I was talking with Aaron suddenly I heard some noise. There was a sound of a roar. Maybe I heard it wrong, but I saw Aaron's face turn pale. He was afraid as if he saw something behind me, whimpering and scared. Aaron stuttered, "A-a-a-level mon...st...er."
I slowly turned my head around to see what he was so scared of, so much it spark curiosity in me.
"whoa, what the heck it is?" It's a living being from a different species, and the rule of survival dictated that to save yourself, you had to be willing to harm even those of your own kind. The monster was towering, with a wide, imposing shape. Each step it took made the entire land shake, creating cracks in the ground. Upon spotting us, it began moving in our direction.
My instincts screamed at me to run. My heart raced, beating rapidly—lubh-dubh—as if engaged in a horse race. Fear froze my body; it seemed my very being was trembling. I desperately searched for a weapon. Despite being an angel, I had never faced battle, but the urgency of the situation forced me to find a temporary way to confront this monster and create an opportunity to escape.
"Aaron, run! We can't stay here; the monster is charging towards us." Unfortunately, Aaron had fainted. As an angel, I found myself gripped by fear, and he, being a frail human, succumbed even more quickly. With no weapon at my disposal, my priority was now to escape.
In the midst of panic, I pondered, 'What should I do?' The monstrous creature approached, and I felt helpless, unable to take any action.
The system suddenly flashed a message: "[Holy sword chooses you as owner. You are now the owner of the holy sword.]" The earth cracked open, and the sword emerged. In my current state of shock and fear, I couldn't comprehend how, why, or what prompted its appearance. it's not like, I have so much time to think let's use whatever is at my disposal.
"[Get rid of the monster and gain Experience to increase your rank.]" the system said. I muttered to myself, "Is this really the time to worry about gaining experience points? I could die any minute now." Despite my reservations, I instinctively grasped the sword and approached the monster.
I swung the sword around, targeting its legs. The creature became enraged and retaliated with a tail swipe, but through quick reflexes, I managed to evade the attack. Without much thought, I continued my assault with slashing moves until the monster received a fatal blow.
"[Attack in the vital points.]" The system prompted me, and I observed the creature's vulnerable areas: stomach, heart, and neck. Its core lays in the heart. Gathering my strength, I leaped towards the monster, directing my strike at its heart.
"[Congratulations on your first victory. You gained 5000+ experience points. You can invest in raising your strength, agility, and magic power.]" The system announced as I stood over the defeated monster, breathing heavily from the intense encounter.
I was utterly exhausted by this event, and my body felt stiff and weak. Unable to keep my eyes open any longer, I closed them.
After few hours....
I was roused from my slumber by the hushed murmurings that permeated the sterile hospital room. As I gradually opened my eyes, two figures dressed in pristine white garments loomed before me. One was a woman, her countenance stern, while the other, a man, wore an expression of disgruntlement.
"How can a Holy Sword master be ranked as an F? Our guild master should have received that sword," the male asserted with dissatisfaction, his voice resonating through the sterile environment.
"Why him? Why not me? I don't lack anything either," the woman retorted, her eyes narrowing in frustration. Maybe the woman is as powerful as the guild leader.
As awareness settled in, I found my equilibrium, observing the unfolding scene. The duo identified themselves as emissaries from the Dawn Guild, expressing a claim over the Holy Sword purportedly obtained in a dungeon that, according to them, belonged to their guild.(As that dungeon belong to their guild so they say that holy sword belong to them. how this logic fits?)
"We heard you acquired the Holy Sword in the dungeon, and that dungeon is under our jurisdiction, so, you know..." the woman hesitated, glancing toward the man.
"Why don't you just admit that we're here to reclaim the Holy Sword?" the man interjected, frustration etched across his features. I, still bewildered, couldn't fathom the context of their conversation.
"What Holy Sword?" I questioned, my face betraying confusion. The man, resembling a human boulder, erupted in anger, seizing my collar.
"Don't lie! We have information that you possess the Holy Sword, and it belongs to us!" he barked, his temper evident.
"Excuse me, do I know you?" I inquired, perplexed. Just then, a figure clad in a white apron approached, intervening with a stern expression.
"You can't do this to a patient. Before we call the authorities, you'd better leave the ward," the person in the white apron warned, adding an air of authority to the tense confrontation. The hospital room, with its sterile ambiance and the ominous presence of the arguing visitors, became a stage for an unfolding mystery. "At least there is a sane person here."
The situation was so intriguing; one human was threatening me to give him something which I didn't even know. The other human was defending me and confronting them. But with the memories that I gained from that, I knew that the person in the white apron is called a doctor, who treats humans – they are healers in the human world.
If my memory serves me right, then I need to gain knowledge of this world, so I need a library. Everything stopped—the bickering noise of the doctor and the Dawn Guild member, the humming bird outside the window, and also the sound of the air whispering in my ears from the window. It was as if time itself had stopped, or perhaps I found myself in another world.
["Info Sphere" has the answer and knowledge to all your questions], the system showed. A gate opened. "wow, it's amazing i have never saw something like this in my entire heavenly life. although i don't need it in the first place.]
