Chapter 6 - Chapter-6

"My enemy didn't even want to show me any mercy, so why should I? I will give you the taste of your own medicine" I grumbled under my breath, torn between sympathy for Arnold and a seething personal anger directed at the imposing figure next to me. As I felt the surge of divine powers within me, a newfound strength coursed through my veins, and a resolve settled in my heart. It was time to put these abilities to the test.

"Do you have any last wishes?" I declared with a mix of determination and curiosity, my gaze unwavering. I am now very much confident than previously that I can defeat him. Rock was drunken with his power and his ego. he was clearly displaying an inferiority complex towards me.

The man, towering over me, responded defiantly, "That's what I wanted to ask." He took two steps back, preparing for an aggressive move. But before the confrontation could escalate, a lady with blonde hair, her eyes as blue as the sky, and lips so pulpy red they seemed almost otherworldly, intervened. Her interruption halted the impending clash, leaving an air of suspense hanging between us. Rock was so angry because of her interruption.

"Naria you Bitch, did you come to sympathize with your ex?" The man's accusation echoed in my mind, causing confusion and raising questions about the identity of this supposed ex. Was it me, or did he refer to the former inhabitant of the body, Arnold?

Naria, with a calculated glance at the man she called Rock, leaned in and whispered something inaudible. However, using my newfound divine power, I focused my energy to amplify my senses and overheard their conversation. Their hidden intentions sent a chill down my spine, and a sense of urgency gnawed at my consciousness. I couldn't dismiss the conflict of interest between them and me. This woman is as corrupted as this man rock. She is too cunning can you use anyone to get what she wants.

If I were the old Arnold, I would've thought that she interrupted for old times' sake, I reflected, grappling with the memories and emotions flooding my mind, a clash between the old and the new within me.

The man, displaying an unexpected change of heart, declared, "Naria, I'm letting him go just because you said. Think of it as a second life." he said with making eye contact to me, he wasn't going to let me go alive actually. As he left the training grounds, Naria approached me, her smiling business face revealing an agenda that I could almost taste in the air. The personal tension and conflicted interests reached a boiling point, leaving me with a profound sense of uncertainty about the path ahead.

She approached me with a blushing face and said, "Umm, Arnold, I heard you got the holy sword?" Her demeanor shifted to one of friendliness, as if we were in a close relationship. But her were full of greed. if she were in heavenly world lord Yama would've poke her eyes out. coming to present.

I replied, "Yes, what about it?" She continued, "Don't get me wrong, Arnold. I just wanted to ask if you wanted to be on the same team as me." With a subtle touch, she caught my hand. Unsettled, I shrugged her off and replied, "Well, Naria, I am not related to this guild. I was just a mere healer who had to work every day for 20 bucks. As you can see, I can't be compared to that guy, 'Rock.' I think you should find someone else." she think I still have some lingering feelings for her. she is just like chameleon changing her color according to the situation.

Naria paused, deep in thought, before saying, "At least just give us the sword if you don't want to join." I was in disbelief. I knew they had hidden intentions, but I didn't think she would be so straightforward. wow! she didn't even take a mins to show her true colors.

"What sword are you talking about?" I asked. I was trying to see what this woman is thinking in her mind.

Naria's demeanor shifted abruptly from a sweet, blushing girl to an arrogant one. "If you don't want to join, then give us the sword. A weakling like you has no use for it." I couldn't believe she was the same girl from just a minute ago. No wonder they were not in a relationship. This chameleon bitch looks like her whole family is from lizard generation, they taught her well. She really know very well to hide her true colors.

"You, Arnold, you know why are you here as a mere healer? It's because you don't like to grab the opportunity given in front of you. A weakling like you deserves to be trampled on." I wouldn't have reacted much because she is woman, but doesn't she think she is a bit over the top now?

Rage surged within me, but I fought hard to suppress it. "Yes, Naria, as you know, I am a weakling. You should not get involved with me. Let this weakling get out of this guild. Not only am I a weakling, but I'm also a person who hasn't taken a bath for days. Can't you smell the blood on me? Let go of this dirty person. As your tongue is long, it might touch me, so hold your tongue and don't flap it here and there," I tried to walk past her, but she stood defiantly in my way, enraged with anger.

"You know what the president wants is your holy sword, and I need to get what my boyfriend wants, right," she said with a smile, masking the seething anger beneath.

"Oh, so you became an errand girl for your boyfriend, and this is what you call an opportunity, I don't care whose boots your licking" her face turned red with anger. In a fit of frustration, she raised her hand, ready to deliver a sharp slap.

I caught her hand before it could hit me.

"I am a weakling, as you said, lady. So, if you hit me, maybe I will sue all your guild members. I want to make it clear to all the members that, in the future, this weakling will have nothing to do with you. Stop claiming my holy sword as if it's your own. If you come in my way, I will sue for the theft of the holy sword, which currently belongs to me. Am I loud and clear? Miss, excuse me then," I declared loudly, ensuring that every person in the room, especially the one watching from the shadows, could hear.

I was ready to walk out, picking up my scattered pride from the ground.

However, I returned because there was one thing I wanted to make clear to Miss Naria. "Miss Naria, you should stop treating me like your boyfriend when you have a current boyfriend. He might be jealous, you see. So, I hope you give up the lingering feelings you have for me. I am a weakling, as you said, and I am not that suitable for you. Keep licking his boots" With those words, I walked out of the guild center, securing my remaining pride. However, I regretted not showing my divine power. I wanted to show them how cool I am.

After 30 minutes of leaving the guild center, my stomach was grumbling as if it had been days, and I didn't even have a buck in my pocket.

"I acted so cool in front of Arnold's ex, and now I don't have a buck. Damn you, Thunder God. At least give me some food." Looking at the sky, I thought maybe this is the suffering the Thunder God prepared for me—nowhere to go. The only thing I had was a job, and I had quit that too because of my mere pride. Does this pride really worth it? I feel like a fool.

" oh, supreme lord, the one and only father please show me way and guide me in this human life"
