Gore strode lazily towards the men-at-arms with his sword swinging loosely with his right arm. As he drew even nearer to them, he blocked the rays of light that the shattered door had let through.
Gore smiled at them, and shadows danced on his face from the torches inside, making him look like a devil. He inhaled a large breath of air before dashing forwards. He raised his sword to the side, and he swung it across their helmeted heads.
Eight bloody balls rolled off from the shoulders they had been attached to. Maybe the spears would have had the reach to combat a regular sword, but Gore's sword was far longer than their spears which merely looked like toothpicks to Gore.
The men-at-arms behind the beheaded ones screamed like babies in pure horror as blood from their comrades soaked their faces. Their cries were shortly silenced as their blood was let to the ground.
Gore was covered in blood as he turned around to Alfred. He licked his lips. "I'm going further inside; I'm going to kill them all."
Alfred coughed. "No, make sure you don't kill the duke or his family. We may be able to ransom them off to their relatives."
Gore ran a hand through his bloody and greasy hair. "Fine."
Gore ran down the halls. Men-at-arms kept on popping up throughout the halls and he murdered them all. There was one man who had been able to wound him with a shallow stab from a spear to his ass around a corner, but Gore had turned around and slashed through five feet of stone block to cut him in half.
Eventually, Gore came out upon a great hall where tables full of food stood with no one around them. There was a throne of stone and upon it a man sat in full black armor with a great sword resting bare against the ground and shining with Aura.
Around the man on the throne, there were six other men, all full armored knights in black with Aura upon their blades. The six knights approached Gore slowly.
Behind Gore, Alfred, Dane, and a bunch of other knights came swarming into the room. Dane, Alfred, and three other knights with Aura stepped up towards Gore to help him kill the six knights.
Alfred glanced at Gore. "We are going to help you with these. Still though, try your hardest."
Gore grinned. "Of course I will!"
Gore walked calmly towards the first knight with his blade handle gripped tightly in both of his hands. The two blades flashed against the torchlight, and they connected together in a flash of purple Aura light. BANG.
Gore leveraged the blade down with his upper body, but with his foot, he kicked the knight in his armored kneecap.
The knight stumbled to the ground. Gore raised his blade and then brought it down on the knight's neck. The blade screamed as it cut through metal, flesh, and then the granite floor. Blood pooled beneath the Aura knight's severed head.
Gore turned to the next knight, but Alfred, Dane, and their knights were already engaged with them, and they were winning. Instead, Gore moved towards the knight sitting on the throne. As he did, Alfred called out behind him. "GORE, WAIT!"
Gore paused in his steps and glanced around. Every single one of the five knights broke off from the man they had been engaging, regardless of injury and they ran towards Gore.
Alfred swung his blade and cut off the head of the man he had been engaging, as did Dane, but the other knights were not fast enough, and three Aura knights were stepping hurriedly towards Gore.
Gore raised his blade directly above his head and brought it down against the first knight running towards him. The knight raised his blade to deflect, but Gore brought his leg up again and smashed his chest plate. The knight flew backwards, knocking over another knight rushing in behind him.
Dane and Alfred rushed over, and they killed the three Knights in a flash with Aura making their whole bodies shine: the sign of an Aura master.
Dane shouted to Gore. "BEHIND YOU!"
Gore turned with his blade swinging just barely in time to meet the blade of the man that had been sitting on the throne. The knight's whole body still shone in a violently raging purple Aura.
Gore's muscles tensed and bulged as the Knight in front of him spoke in an amused tone. "You have no Aura and yet you are very strong. Stronger than a knight with basic Aura. That is only because of your blade. Otherwise, you would now be dead. Let me take your blade."
The man's blade flashed in a deadly purple arc as he brought his body down under Gore's blade and shoved his own towards Gore's heart. Gore was going to die.
Just as the blade was going to drive through his heart, another airborne blade covered in thick purple Aura cut through the Knight's head like butter in a spray of crimson blood.
The headless knight's final footstep faltered and the aura on his blade vanished. The sword slid past Gore's chest, cutting through hide and muscle, but not going very deep.
The headless knight fell to the ground with his sword that had drawn Gore's blood. The launched sword, covered in Aura, had not just gone through the knight's head, but also the three foot solid granite wall.
Gore sheathed his sword and turned around. The sword had been launched from Dane's hand.
Around Alfred, the knights Gore had knocked over were dead.
Blood soaked the floor in pools that began to flow and ebb towards the ones who had drawn it. The blood seemed to say: "THIS MAN KILLED ME."
Alfred's boots mercilessly pounded through the puddles of blood, and it splashed, soaking his boots.
All of the knights removed their helmets and walked around Alfred and Dane who had done the same.
Alfred raised his hand up high and gripped Gore by the shoulder. "Are you fine?"
Gore turned around with a grin. "I will learn Aura. I will become the best. I will conquer all the human lands."
Dane splashed through the blood puddles with a grin on his face. "You will conquer all the human lands, will you?"
"I will do it or die trying."
Dane raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Every man has their own aspirations, and it is good to set yours high."
Alfred tapped his father on his shoulder. "Fury gave him that aspiration as a goal that he must complete before he can return home."
Dane sighed. "Oh, that's rough. Well, since you legitimately did far more than we thought you would do, we will give you your promised pay along with 5% of the spoils."
Gore nodded. "Thanks."
