Isabella stood still as she gritted her teeth in anger. She wanted to go there right now and separate them but she couldn't bring herself down to be embarrassed so she stood still.
.....
"Miss Iris, right?". He asked still holding her waist as they danced and she slightly nodded.
"You have such a beautiful voice". He complemented, giving her a wide smile.
"Thank you, your majesty". She replied firmly.
"You don't have to be so formal". He chuckled a little but Iris kept mute and just stared at him.
"Just call me Ryan". He stated as Iris stared at him surprised.
"What's wrong with this man". She wondered.
"That's wrong...very wrong my Prince...I need to go". And with that Iris let go of his grip and made her way out of the hall to where Madam Selane was.
Ryan just stared at the petite figure as she made her way into the crowd. He turned over, about to head for his seat when something in his mind told him to chase after her that if he doesn't, he might never see her again but why?. He thought. He held one last glance at her as he narrowed his gaze and like a bewitched soul, ran after Iris, not thinking about what the guests might think of him.
Iris got to where Madam Selane was as she held her hand and said " we need to leave now".
"Have you met the Prince". Madam Selane asked.
"Yes I've done what you wanted so can we leave". Iris asked impatiently, once she sighted him in the large crowd.
"Why are you in such a hurry". She questioned, staring at Iris suspiciously.
"I'm just tired, i need to rest". She said rubbing her eyes with the back of her palm, praying endlessly for Madam Selane to give in.
"Fine let's go home". She finally said as Iris let out a sigh of relief.
Iris together with Madam Selane made way for the door as Ryan sighted them about the walk over to them when a guard called him.
"Prince Ryan, your father wants to see you". He bowed in front of him.
"I don't want to see anyone, tell him I'm busy". He said firmly as he walked away and headed for the door.
"Where is she". He said, now in the narrow hallway but found no one. He walked round the hallway, checking maybe she was hiding behind some big flower vases but he was wrong. There was no one there. He sighed as he made his way back to the hall when he stepped on a hard solid metal. He paused and bend down to pick the item up and after examining it. He opened up the item as he stared in shock.
"King Alexander and Queen Avny". He muttered.
"Whose locket is this". He said, looking round the hallway but couldn't find anyone.
"Could she have dropped the locket". He thought.
