Chapter 30 - Chapter 30

Dixon calm down, you're drunk. Fiona was trying her best to calm her husband down but with the look of things Dixon didn't want that.

I didn't know that father was going to say that. I didn't plan anything with him, you have to trust me. She tried her best convincing him.

Without saying anything, Dixon stormed out of the house and didn't come back the entire night, leaving Fiona worried.

…..

After the lunch they had together, Axel took Tamara out for shopping even though she didn't know why he was doing all that.

In the car, there was silence and no one was ready to break the silence until Tamara finally spoke "My Uncle is coming over for dinner tomorrow?"

"Okay".

The car finally stopped and they both got down. Tamara was about to go to her room when Axel stopped her.

"Why don't we sleep together in the same room, besides we have been married for six years now and use the remaining two years to get to know each other better". With that they both went to Axel's room.

It was the first time they were going to sleep together. Tamara took the right side of the bed and Axel took the other side.

She went to the bathroom to take her shower, without realizing that she didn't have any clothes in his room.

Leaving the bathroom with only towel on her body. As she emerged from the bathroom, wrapped only in a towel, Axel's eyes widened in awe and she could feel him staring at her.

Droplet of water glistened on her skin and her black long hair fell down on her back like a rich, water fall.

The towel barely wrapped around her curves, exposing her curves, showing her toned physique and hinting at the beauty beneath. Her eyes sparkled like diamonds.

Axel's gaze was still on her, watching her every move. "I forgot my clothes" he didn't know why her voice sounded seductive all of a sudden. Composing himself, he told her to check the closet for clothes and she did exactly just that.

She was suprised when she saw clothes her size in there. She grabbed a nightgown and hurriedly went to change.

Minutes later, she walked out if the bathroom dressed in a black nightgown heading towards her side of the bed. She laid down and went to sleep. Meanwhile Axel on the other night knew he was going to have a cold bath this night.

He still didn't understand why he always loose control anytime she is with him. With that he went to take a cold bath and went to sleep.

Later in the night…

Tamara woke up, with her heart racing. Six years of grief and scars seemed to unravel in an instant.

The darkness of the room seemed to be closing in, heavy with the weight of memories that didn't want to leave her. She heard a sound that shattered the silence, a cold whisper that pierced her soul like a dagger. "Mama". Tamara's voice caught in her throat as she recognized the voice.

The same voice that always call out to her in her nightmares and in a depths of her despair.

Her unborn child, the one she had lost six years ago, the one she never held, the one she never cuddled, the one she never seen grown up.

The voice was like a gentle breeze on a summer day, soft and innocent yet it sent shivers down to her spine.

"Mama". The voice called out again, more urgent this time, as if it was sensing her fear and longing.

Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes as she whispered back, "My baby, my sweet baby". Her voice cracked with emotions piercing the darkness of their bedroom.

The sound of her anguish was like a knife cutting through the night, jolting Axel awake.

Axel's eyes snapped open, and he sat up. "Tamara, what's wrong? he asked, his voice laced with concern.

But she didn't respond, her gaze fixed on some invisible point beyond him. He reached out, wrapping his arms around her and pulled her close. "It's okay, I'm here. What's happening? But she just trembled in his embrace, her voice barely audible as she whispered again, "My baby". The sound of her despair was like a siren, echoing through their bedroom.

And Axel knew the nightmare had come again. He remembered when he saw her waking up from a nightmare one night and guessed it was the nightmare again.

This time around, I am not going to spare Dixon and Fiona, he said in his thought.
