As he opened his eyes slowly, the piercing light of the morning sun felt like dagger to him making him wince in discomfort. His head throbbed with a relentless intensity like something hard banging his head. His mouth was dry with a bitter taste lingering on his lips.
Logy, he tried to sit up but he was too weak. His body felt heavy, like lead weights were tied to his limbs, making every moment a struggle. Dixon as never drank so much in his life before.
As he struggled to regain his bearings, memories of the previous night began to flash through his head like a deja vu. And then, the realization hit him. He had hurt his wife. The amnesia because of the alcohol began to clear, revealing the horrifying truth. He remembered how his video was being leaked and all his contract to get his company back was lost too. He remembered the anger, the physical altercation. The images flashed through his mind as he regrets what he has done.
He got up and freshened up. He decided to apologize to her in a tangible way. He ordered her favorite meal and suprised her with a small gift to show her he was sorry. He was willing to do anything to make her forgive him because she was his last resort. He needed her to take over her company and collect back his company with her help. He knew it wouldn't be easy and regaining her trust would take time, effort and patience. But he was willing to do whatever it took to have his company back.
It was in the evening. Dixon spent his all day preparing this dinner for her hoping to mend his mistakes. The table was set with their finest degins and a bouquet a flowers, roses, sat in the center. Soft music played in the background and the light was dimmed to created an intimate atmosphere.
Dixon told a maid to call his wife down for dinner and told her not to tell his wife about the suprise. When the maid told Fiona to come down for dinner, she wanted to refuse at first but seeing that she hasn't left the room at all she agreed to have dinner downstairs.
The maid left the room first. Three minutes later, Fiona made her way downstairs, her eyes fixed on the romantic setup. She couldn't help but smile, despite the being hurt and betrayed by him.
As they sat down to eat, Dixon took her hands and went on his knees as he began to apologize. "Fiona, I am sorry for ever raising my hands on you last night and cheating on you. I know I hurt you, and I promise to regain your trust again. I won't ever hit you again and cheat on you with anyone again". Fiona listened to him and told him to stand up.
As they finished their meal and dessert, Dixon presented her with a small gift a beautiful silver necklace with a rose pendant. "I want you to wear it as a reminder of my commitment to our relationship. He said. Fiona was touched by his gesture and felt a sense of hope again. Dixon got up from his seat and moved closer to her, wearing the necklace for her and kissing her lips.
He captured her lips and started kissing her slowly, exploring her mouth with his tongue. He sucked her lower lip making her to moan. After kissing her, he then hugged her and carried her in a bridal style to their room, closing the door.
