Chapter 19 - Telling Everyone

After Theodore told Martha about his move to City A, he was surprised that Martha's reaction was calmer than he expected.

Theodore thought that Martha would forbid him from leaving this house because Theodore's family had lived here for a long time.

However, Martha said that she hoped Theodore could live a peaceful life in City A.

Theodore didn't say much about it, but he was relieved that he could finally say this to Martha.

Not only that, Theodore also ordered Martha and all the housekeepers to stay in the house and take care of it for him.

Theodore also set aside half of the money he currently had for the house and the staff.

"This much money should be enough until the apocalypse comes," Theodore said as he saved money for his family home.

Currently Theodore only needs to buy solar panels and heavy vehicles, so he doesn't need too much money at the moment.

And Theodore had already set aside money for the remaining payments on the apartment that he would later use to shelter in the base of City A.

"Now I just need to tell Luke and the others about my departure." Theodore thought about telling his friend tomorrow.

Because the day after tomorrow Theodore would already leave K City and move to City A. Not to mention Theodore had to meet the agent of the apartment he had bought.

There were many things Theodore had to take care of when he came to City A. The sooner he went to City A, the better it would be for him.

. . .

Since Theodore had invited his friends to gather, Theodore was currently at one of the exclusive bars in the city center waiting for his friends to arrive.

"Why is no one here yet?" Theodore checked his cell phone back and forth.

It had been fifteen minutes since Theodore had arrived at this bar but none of his friends showed any signs of coming.

It was indeed quite difficult to gather them together like this.

Especially since they had gathered before, Theodore could only sigh and wait patiently for their arrival.

Until finally from a distance Theodore looked up when he heard a noise and he saw the figures of Luke and Shawn who were being approached by many women.

"Can't you guys not cause a commotion like that," Theodore said as he rolled his eyes lazily when Luke and Shawn arrived.

"Just say you're jealous of me!" Luke grinned happily with the spotlight on him.

Shawn just laughed and was busy waving at the women who were still looking at him from a distance.

"By the way why did you call us to gather?" asked Shawn as he centered his focus on his friends.

"I have something to tell you all," Theodore replied briefly.

At Theodore's words, Shawn frowned and fell silent. Shawn felt that Theodore wanted to say something about the apocalypse that he had told him earlier.

The look on Shawn's face changed quickly, the bright smile that was previously seen on his face began to disappear and turned into tension.

Luke who noticed Shawn's change began to frown, he felt like what Theodore was going to say to them was something very serious.

"What's wrong, why are you so tense like that?" Luke said to Shawn who looked a little nervous.

"It's nothing." Shawn shook his head slowly and decided to open his cell phone while waiting for Nicholas to arrive.

Seeing Shawn's evasive reaction Luke turned to Theodore and tried to ask silently.

Theodore just shrugged his shoulders indifferently and remained silent, they were still waiting for the arrival of Nicholas who was nowhere to be found.

Fortunately, it wasn't long before Nicholas arrived dramatically there, for some reason he came with his breath panting like he had been chased by someone.

"Oh my God! What happened to you?" Luke was confused when he saw Nicholas' state when he arrived.

Nicholas sat down first and caught his breath before opening his voice, "Don't you know something happened?"

"Know what?" Theodore was also curious about what happened to Nicholas.

"There was an earthquake. Landslides also occurred in the suburbs," Nicholas explained excitedly.

Shawn subconsciously glanced at Theodore, feeling that their premonition had actually happened.

"I didn't feel it," Luke replied quietly.

Not paying much heed to Luke's words, Nicholas chose to look at Theodore seriously.

"Tell me why you gathered us. It is not safe to gather at this time," Nicholas explained.

Theodore sighed, but he also agreed with Nicholas' words. So Theodore decided to say what he wanted to say.

"I just wanted to tell you that I'm leaving K City." Theodore finally said it.

The three people looked at Theodore in disbelief.

"You're lying, right?"

"No way!"

"What's your reason for leaving?!"

Theodore blinked his eyes for a while as he heard his three friends say the same thing at the same time.

"I'm moving to City A," Theodore continued later.

"What happened to you that you decided to leave here?" Nicholas was still wondering what Theodore wanted to do.

"Honestly, I want to try a new life in another city," Theodore replied, deciding to lie to his friends.

Meanwhile, Luke himself still couldn't believe Theodore decided to do something extreme like this.

"So, what about your family home?" Luke asked quietly.

"I've entrusted the house to Martha and the others," Theodore replied calmly.

"That's your decision, I can only hope that you can live peacefully in City A." Nicholas sighed and tried to encourage Theodore.

"Thank you, I just wanted to say this." Theodore nodded his head.

"I know I shouldn't be like this, but I'm leaving now. It's not safe around the city right now," Nicholas said, then started to stand up and walk away.

Theodore didn't mind and let Nicholas go, while his other two friends remained silent.

"You better hurry back, especially you Luke." Theodore advised Luke to go back to his house.

"Tell me when you're leaving," Luke said finally.

"I'm going to City A tomorrow," Theodore replied.

"You're crazy." Luke shook his head tiredly.

Luke knew Theodore could be a little crazy sometimes, but this time he was really crazy. How could he tell them the day before he left?

"Don't forget to come visit. I'll be going then," Luke said.

Luke followed Nicholas' lead and left.

Now only Theodore and Shawn were left there.

"This is the first sign that the apocalypse will happen, isn't it?" Shawn's eyes were blank at this point.

"Yes, be careful, Shawn." Theodore knew that Shawn would definitely understand the current situation.

"Did you move to A City to take refuge?" Shawn was a little curious about Theodore's decision this time.

"You could say that. If you want to leave this town, I suggest not going to town Z," Theodore said.

After saying that Theodore stood up and prepared to leave there, it seemed he had to speed up his departure to A city.
