Chapter 21 - Before Disaster

For a moment Theodore wondered what he should ask the agent while he was still here.

Actually, Theodore just wanted to make sure how they maintained this place, then he started thinking about something important.

"So, do you know where I can find solar panels and firewood around here?" Theodore asked another question.

"For the solar panels, you can find them at the shopping center in the middle of the city." The agent began to tell Theodore.

"Then, for firewood you can go to the outskirts of the city, where there is a small farm. The old man there sells firewood," the male agent continued later.

"Your information will help me a lot, thank you. It seems that's all I want to know for now," Theodore replied feeling very helpful.

"Then I'll be going, I hope you enjoy your time here," the male agent said and started walking out of the apartment.

Then, the agent turned back to look at Theodore again, and said, "Next week there will be a new person occupying the apartment in front, I just wanted to tell you this."

Theodore nodded his understanding and watched the man leave the apartment. Theodore also walked to the direction where his room was, he needed to rest after taking the earliest flight today.

. . .

The news about the chaos in the world was getting more and more heard and Theodore saw that the shopping center he went to became quite crowded.

It was already quite late in the afternoon when Theodore came here. Since it was Theodore's first time here, he went to one of the employees there to ask about where they put the solar panels.

"You can go to the west from here, sir." The employee said politely.

"Thank you." Theodore immediately walked towards the west of the shopping center.

It seemed like they put the solar panel on the ground floor, Theodore was quite satisfied about this so he could find it more easily.

Actually Theodore intended to loot some supermarkets later when the Apocalypse happened.

It would be easy to loot when the apocalypse was still in its early stages because the zombies were still normal and had not evolved to be stronger.

When he was in the daily goods area, Theodore immediately walked towards the solar panel there.

"How many should I buy? Are two enough?" Theodore mumbled about whether he should overestimate his purchase this time.

But it could be seen that the price of just one solar panel was already quite expensive, but Theodore still had enough money in his pocket to buy several.

It was just that Theodore still hadn't bought a car for his use in the apocalypse. And this time Theodore was quite confused to decide on his purchase this time.

"Well, I'll buy more for backup," said Theodore, finally deciding to buy four solar panels.

Theodore would think about looting other places if he really needed extra solar panels.

While there Theodore also bought tools that he might need later, then he finished his shopping quickly.

Then, from the shopping center Theodore drove his rental car around the city, he drove leisurely while mapping the city area.

That way it will help him to loot when the apocalypse occurs, besides that Theodore also has to buy medical supplies because it will be very difficult to get medicine when in the apocalypse.

Theodore's destination this time was a farm on the outskirts of the city as the male agent had said before.

During the trip Theodore noted where important places were located around this region.

"It turned out to be quite difficult to find that farm," Theodore muttered as he walked through the suburban area, but still did not find the small farm in question.

"Did I go the wrong way?" Theodore looked right and left in fear of missing out.

After walking down the deserted road, Theodore finally saw the place he was looking for. With that Theodore drove his car closer to the place.

When he got there Theodore got out of his car and walked towards a hut there.

"Excuse me," Theodore said while knocking on the door of the shack because he didn't see anyone there.

However, there was no answer from inside, and Theodore felt quite anxious when he didn't get an answer.

"Isn't there anyone here?" Theodore muttered as he walked towards the land behind the hut.

Theodore saw that there was a farm that was still in its infancy, the farm was not very wide and the surrounding land was surrounded by forest.

"Who are you?"

Hearing a voice from behind him, Theodore was startled and looked back cautiously.

There was an old man behind him, he guessed that the old man was the owner of the hut and the farm.

"I'm sorry I came so suddenly. It's just that I heard you were selling firewood, so I came to buy some," Theodore explained about his arrival at the place.

The old man still looked at Theodore with a suspicious look, but he didn't say anything.

"So you came just to buy firewood?" asked the old man, still unsure of Theodore's reason for coming.

"Yes, I need quite a lot." Theodore nodded his head.

"It's rare to find people looking for firewood, so I was surprised. If that's the case then you can follow me," the old man replied as he walked into his hut.

Theodore followed the old man's footsteps. Theodore could see that there were many piles of firewood inside the hut.

"Is this all the firewood you have?" Theodore felt that the wood was not too much for him.

"This is only some of it, the rest is still in the forest and I haven't moved it here yet," the old man explained.

"Then I'll buy all the firewood you have," Theodore replied later.

"Are you sure? I have 1000 pieces of firewood in total." The old grandfather was quite surprised by Theodore's words.

"I'm very sure of what I'm doing." Theodore took out the money to pay for his purchase.

The old man looked very happy when Theodore paid him a lot of money.

And after that Theodore said that he would send a truck to pick up the firewood he had bought from the old man.

After finishing his business there Theodore drove his car back to his apartment.

On his way back Theodore stopped by a large pharmacy to buy his supply of medicine.

That way Theodore only needs to buy a car for his needs during the apocalypse, after that he only needs to wait until the zombie apocalypse attacks the whole world.
