While sleeping at night Theodore was awakened by a really disturbing noise from outside.
Theodore was very unhappy at this time because his sleep was disturbed, but he still got up from his bed and looked out of his bedroom window.
And the look on Theodore's face turned pale as he saw the chaos around his apartment neighborhood that was starting to look chaotic.
The sound of screams coming from various directions made Theodore recall the terror he felt when he lived in the apocalypse.
"Why now? Isn't there still two weeks left?" Theodore was speechless when he saw the zombies coming faster than before.
"Damn! My preparations aren't perfect," Theodore continued as he frowned unhappily.
Not wanting to stand there just like that Theodore stepped with wide strides to the front door of his house.
Theodore had previously modified his door, given that he had bought this apartment instead of just renting it, so he could modify it as he pleased.
It wasn't just the front door that Theodore had modified, he had modified all the balcony doors.
And outside the balcony, Theodore has also installed a metal fence to prevent thieves later.
The solar panel that Theodore had bought had also been installed on the balcony that had been protected with an iron fence.
Now Theodore stood in front of the entrance of his house, he tried to listen to the sounds outside.
"I hope the front house doesn't come out of curiosity," Theodore muttered hoping that Geoffrey and Roxanne were safe inside the house at the moment.
But, given that Theodore's apartment was on the 15th floor, for unevolved zombies there was no way they could climb the stairs all the way to the 15th floor.
So, as long as there were no infected but unconscious morons running to their floor, then there would be no zombies on their floor.
It was still quiet and nothing was heard, but Theodore could feel that he was quite nervous at the moment.
In addition Theodore winced in surprise when he heard the sound of his cell phone ringing in the distance.
A little dazed for a while Theodore immediately ran to find his cell phone to answer the call.
And Theodore could see that Roxanne's name appeared as the person who called him. Without hesitation Theodore picked up the call.
"Big brother!"
From across the line Theodore heard Geoffrey's voice shouting frantically. Theodore slightly moved his cell phone away from his ear before putting it back.
"You don't have to yell like that," Theodore replied, a little annoyed.
"I'm sorry, but this is serious!" Geoffrey still sounded worried.
"Tell me what's wrong," Theodore said then.
"Z-zombies really here, big brother." Geoffrey's voice trembled this time.
"I've seen it. Stay in your apartment, you're with your sister, right?" Theodore wanted to confirm their condition there.
And Geoffrey was silent without answering Theodore's question, he didn't know how to explain to Theodore about their situation.
"Hey, Geoffrey! Answer me." Theodore frowned slightly at this time.
"That's the problem, big brother. My sister went out to buy food 30 minutes ago." Geoffrey again sounded panicked.
Theodore was completely speechless this time, how could the worst possibly happen right now.
"And your sister didn't bring her cell phone. Do you know where she went?" Theodore realized that Geoffrey was calling him using Roxanne's cell phone.
"You're right, she thought she wouldn't be gone for long so she left her cell phone. And I know where she went, I think she's now not far from the apartment," Geoffrey explained.
"So you want me to help you save your sister?" Theodore asked for confirmation.
"I would be very grateful if you would help me, big brother." With a voice that sounded desperate Geoffrey really hoped Theodore would help him.
"Get ready, I'll be waiting for you at the front door." After saying that, Theodore hung up the phone.
Theodore entered the sacred dimension to prepare, he wore a safety harness around his legs and arms.
Then, coupled with a jacket and long pants to cover his body, Theodore also took a sword with him and a baseball bat that had been modified by adding spikes around it.
After making sure he was ready Theodore exited the sacred dimension and walked towards the front door of his apartment.
Before opening all the spare keys he had prepared Theodore took a deep breath while closing his eyes, trying to calm himself down.
When Theodore opened his eyes again, his gaze was sharper than before and began to open all the locks on his door.
With a sword in his hand Theodore opened his door and luckily there was no one in the hallway of their apartment floor.
Theodore moved towards Roxanne's apartment door and banged on it, all the while shouting for Geoffrey.
"Geoffrey it's me, we have to go now." Even though Theodore was banging on the door, his eyes did not move from the direction of the fire escape and where the elevator was.
Fortunately, it didn't take long for Geoffrey to come out of his house in a very covered-up outfit.
Theodore was quite surprised when he saw that, but not saying anything, he also saw Geoffrey carrying a baseball bat with him.
"Leave your baseball bat, use this instead." Theodore gave the baseball bat he was carrying to Geoffrey.
"Okay." Geoffrey no longer dared to defy Theodore's words, he had promised to do whatever Theodore said this time.
Geoffrey tightly grasped the baseball bat that Theodore gave him, then he stood behind Theodore with a pale face.
"Geoffrey, remember that whoever you attack later they are already not human. So don't hesitate to kill them later." Before leaving Theodore wanted to remind Geoffrey of this.
Geoffrey nervously nodded his head, trying to understand Theodore's words. Geoffrey knew that right now they had to attack to defend themselves if they didn't want to die at the hands of those zombies.
"Then let's go!" With that Theodore immediately moved towards the emergency stairs.
Geoffrey, who followed Theodore to the emergency stairs, looked at the elevator in confusion.
"Why don't we just use the elevator? Wouldn't it be faster?" Geoffrey asked curiously.
"It would be very dangerous to use the elevator at this time, we won't know if it will stop at a certain floor, what if the one who called the elevator is being chased by zombies?" Theodore turned his question to Geoffrey.
Instantly Geoffrey felt goosebumps run down his body as he thought of the possibilities that Theodore had told him.
Now Geoffrey realized that he could instantly turn into a zombie if he decided to go out alone without asking Theodore for help.
