Chapter 37 - Run!!!

At first, Roxanne was a little reluctant to climb onto Theodore's shoulders because she feared inconveniencing him. In the end, though, Roxanne had to climb onto Theodore's shoulders to retrieve the solar panels.

"Should I take them all?" Roxanne saw that there were about 4 solar panels on the shelf.

"Yes, just take them all. I want some too, we can share them later." Although Theodore already had his own solar panels, he still didn't want to give up the opportunity to get additional solar panels.

Hearing that, Roxanne took the solar panels one by one and placed them on the bottom shelf so that they could easily take them.

During the moving process, there was a low growl from the zombies around, fortunately, they didn't know where Roxanne and Theodore were at the moment, so for now they were still safe.

However, they seemed to have to move faster because it was only a matter of time before the zombies found out where they were.

"Are you done?" asked Theodore as he glanced around, making sure that the zombies hadn't caught wind of their existence.

"Nah, already!" Roxanne smiled brightly as she successfully moved all the solar panels to the top shelf.

Then Theodore carefully set Roxanne down. They then picked up the solar panels that Roxanne had taken down from the top shelf, Theodore thought that their business there was done.

"We'd better get going, it's getting late. It'll be dangerous if we stay here until evening," Theodore invited Roxanne to return to their apartment building.

"Is that so? But, there's still a lot we can pick up here," Roxanne replied, feeling that she still wanted to wander around to see what else could be picked up in this supermarket.

"Let's come here again sometime. After all, we still have a lot of zombies here, so it's easy for us to come here again." Theodore explained their current situation.

For some reason Theodore felt a bad premonition, he felt anxious about his current surroundings.

Roxanne was still unwilling to leave this supermarket, but Theodore said that they could come back here, so she nodded her head in agreement.

"Alright, we better go back." Roxanne carried two solar panels in her hand and followed Theodore's footsteps as he walked out of the supermarket.

"Be careful. It's best to avoid those zombies," Theodore replied while choosing an exit that didn't have any zombies around.

Fortunately, Theodore had already cleared their exit beforehand, so they were able to exit the supermarket safely and comfortably.

Theodore didn't want to slaughter any more zombies at the moment because his hands were full holding two solar panels, so it would be difficult for him to hold a sword and fight with the zombies.

Roxanne who was walking beside Theodore also smiled brightly, she couldn't wait to go home and eat something warm at home.

"It turns out that looting like this isn't so bad," Roxanne said, feeling that what they were doing right now didn't bother her too much.

"You should tell Geoffrey about it so he gets used to it," Theodore replied, still feeling that something was bothering him.

"That's right, Geoffrey and I have to get used to the state of this world," Roxanne said seriously, she was really very bad for this ruined world.

If there was no Theodore to help her and Geoffrey, Roxanne couldn't think of how she and her brother would fare through this world that was starting to be destroyed by the zombie attack.

In that short period, there was suddenly a sound like a siren from a distance, Theodore and Roxanne who heard it immediately turned their heads towards the direction where the sound was heard.

The bad feeling in Theodore's heart was even greater when he heard the sound of the siren.

"Roxanne, run to the car!" Theodore immediately ordered Roxanne to get into their car.

"What is it?" Roxanne still couldn't process what was happening, but she kept walking towards their car.

"I don't know, but I'm sure something bad happened." Theodore ran behind Roxanne.

From a distance, Theodore unlocked the car and Roxanne quickly put the solar panel on the back seat.

Theodore quickly opened the steering wheel door and put the solar panel on the back seat while waiting for Roxanne to get into the car.

"Is that all right?" Theodore asked when Roxanne had gotten into the car.

"Yes, we can go!" Roxanne nodded her head.

Hearing that, Theodore started the engine of his car and quickly drove away from the supermarket yard. At this moment Theodore felt his heart beating faster, for some reason he was feeling really anxious at the moment.

The sound of the siren was still heard in the distance, Theodore thought that the person who turned on the siren was really stupid because they must have attracted the attention of zombies because of that.

Roxanne turned to Theodore with a confused face and said, "Can you tell me what happened?"

"I don't know, I don't know. But the sound of the sirens makes me think there's something bad going on, especially since they're heading towards us." Theodore explained why he was quite anxious about their situation.

"But aren't the sirens still far away?" Roxanne still didn't understand why Theodore was taking them away from there in such a hurry.

"They could arrive at any time. I prefer to avoid trouble," Theodore replied, shaking his head as he thought of something bad happening inside his head.

Roxanne could only remain silent, not knowing how to reply to Theodore's words at the moment. After all, their business at the supermarket was over, so Roxanne didn't mind.

The distance between the supermarket and their apartment building was not too far, only about 5 km away. So now they had arrived at their apartment building, but they didn't stop there, Theodore drove the car into the apartment's parking lot.

"From now on we will use this car to leave, if you need it later you can ask me for the key," Theodore explained before they got out of the car after arriving at the apartment's parking lot.

"Is that okay?" Roxanne was still a little uncertain about the fact that they were taking someone's car.

"It doesn't matter anyway the person has become a zombie." Theodore just shrugged his shoulders indifferently.

"Alright then. But, it looks like me and Geoffrey won't be going if not with you," Roxanne replied, shaking her head.

Theodore could only chuckle softly as he heard Roxanne's words, not knowing how to react at the moment.

They got out of the car and started to take the backpack and also the solar panel that they put on the back of the car.

Actually, their loot was quite a lot, so their luggage was quite heavy at the moment. Theodore thought that he could put all this into his sacred dimension, but he couldn't do it now.

"Our journey will be tiring after this." Roxanne sighed when she saw the stairs she had to climb to get to the floor of their apartment.

Theodore sighed as well, it seemed that this time he would have to carry a backpack full of items as well as two solar panels in his hands all the way to the 15th floor.
