Theodore remembered that the soldiers who came to him yesterday said they would spread the news through the radio, but the problem was that he didn't have a radio.
Who would have thought they would still need a radio in this day and age? While eating his breakfast, Theodore thought about listening to the radio on his cell phone, but he didn't know if that would work or not.
While munching on his omelet, Theodore fiddled with his cell phone. Then he heard a knock on his apartment door. He frowned in surprise when he again heard someone coming to visit him.
"Why are they coming to me again?" Theodore thought it was the soldiers from before who had come to his apartment.
However, Theodore could see Geoffrey standing there and grinning at him when he opened the door to his apartment.
"What's wrong, Geoffrey?" Theodore had no idea why Geoffrey had come to him this early in the morning.
"I don't know if you've heard, but we're listening to the news from the government over the radio. I'm just here to confirm whether you've heard it or not?" Geoffrey explained his reason for coming to Theodore.
"I don't happen to have a radio in my house. Can I come to your house to listen to it too?" It was a good thing Theodore had good neighbors like them. Otherwise, he would have missed the news by now.
"That's why I'm here!" Geoffrey immediately invited Theodore to his house so they could listen to the government news together.
Theodore casually followed Geoffrey's lead. Before entering the apartment, he made sure no one was on the floor but them.
The first thing Theodore noticed when he entered his neighbor's apartment was the sound of a radio broadcast that seemed to be coming from the living room.
"You two, hurry up and get over here!" Roxanne called for them to come to her immediately.
"Have they started the broadcast yet?" Geoffrey ran over to Roxanne, he quickly sat down next to Roxanne to listen to the ongoing radio broadcast.
Theodore silently joined the two of them, listening to the current radio broadcast.
"We're telling everyone to stay calm wherever you are. The first thing we want to tell you is information about the bases that have been set up in several cities."
Theodore heard them announce the list of bases that had been established, and there were only 5 bases in their country. It seemed that in most cities, many of the military forces had collapsed, making it impossible for them to build bases.
Actually, Theodore already knew this because, in his previous life, there were only a few bases in their country; it's just that in his time, there were only 3 bases left that managed to survive during the onslaught of zombie evolution that occurred.
That reason is also why Theodore moved to city A because this city has the safest base among the 3 bases in the previous life.
Then Theodore refocused himself to hear what information the radio broadcast would provide again.
"We also want to tell you that it's important to filter the water you drink using a water filter. It's not dangerous right now, but soon the water will be contaminated, so it's better to purify your water before drinking it."
"Not only that, but we urge you to be careful with the animals and plants around you. We heard information that animals and plants have mutated."
"Then, for those who don't have a base in their town, you can go to the base in the nearest town. Or you can wait for the military members at the nearest base to pick you up."
"For the people whose towns already have bases, the military members will register you, and you need to help them build the bases."
Theodore realized that the information provided by the government was quite comprehensive and helpful, even though he expected little from the information they provided.
He glanced at Roxanne and Geoffrey, who listened intently and thoughtfully to the information. Theodore already knew this information, so he focused only a little on the radio broadcast.
"Do you guys have a water filter?" Theodore turned to Roxanne.
"Unfortunately, no. I didn't know we'd need it, but we could have looked for it yesterday if I'd known." Roxanne sighed, regretting not knowing this sooner.
"If you want, I can give you my spare filter," Theodore said, offering them his water filter.
After all, Theodore had a lot in the sacred dimension, and he had prepared himself for this situation. And he would have a hard time if, for example, Roxanne and Geoffrey became zombies from consuming contaminated water.
So Theodore was okay sharing his water filter with them. Theodore could see Roxanne and Geoffrey looking at him with bright smiles.
"I would be very grateful if you would give it to us!" Roxanne quickly nodded, agreeing to Theodore's offer.
"You can come to my house later. Oh yeah, you have to boil the drinking water to make it safe, using a water filter is not enough," Theodore said, telling what he knew about the safety of the drinking water they could consume.
"Wow! How do you know all these things? Can you teach it to me?!" Geoffrey looked at Theodore in awe. He was really helping their family. If it wasn't for Theodore, he and Roxanne would have died from zombies a long time ago.
Theodore smiled and embraced Geoffrey. "That's the point of reading books," he said while lightly patting Geoffrey's shoulder.
Geoffrey glanced at Theodore sharply, "Don't get me wrong, I love reading books!"
Not heeding Geoffrey's words, Theodore shrugged his shoulders while waving his hand, "Don't forget to go to my house to get the water filter; I'm leaving first." After that, Theodore walked away from the brothers' apartment.
Arriving at his apartment, Theodore took out three packages of water filters from within the sacred dimension; he intended to give them to his opposite neighbor.
Theodore thought that in a few days, the soldiers would come again to make them work for them. After the zombie attack destroyed the world, the structure of society and the social activities among the people would change drastically.
Those military men must have accumulated food reserves to get the food they would indeed send them to work for.
"I think I'd better join the rescue squad; that way, I can level up faster," Theodore muttered, thinking of joining the search squad if there was one.
From the previous broadcast, Theodore had gotten information that these military people were going to rescue the survivors in other cities, so it was likely that they would form a team to do the search.
Theodore would utilize this opportunity to earn EXP from killing zombies. For now, he should use his quiet time to meditate before he finally gets busy later.
