When morning came, Eve heard footsteps outside the room she was in and the door unlocking from outside where someone now stepped in and the door was shut again. she turned her head and when she saw that it was the princess, she stood from the ground and bow in front of her.
Isabel felt pity towards Genevieve. She heard from the servant that she didn't eat or drink anything since she was brought in. And when she entered to see her, she saw her on the cold floor.
"Your highness," Genevieve called her after raising her head to now look at her.
Isabel clenched her teeth inside, burying the sympathy she was feeling and she said to her, "It seems my father already made up his mind. You…will be getting married for real."
Genevieve's countenance fell, but there was a little to how she could react due to how weak she felt. Not only has she taken anything, but she also hasn't had a wink of sleep.
