50 years ago, the Jujutsu War was nearing its end. In those dark times, it wasn't just sorcerers that were dragged into the battle, but ordinary humans too.
Much like any typical war, a lot of humans died, and amongst them was a man particularly hated by many.
He was a lone shark who took money from the poor, and chased them down when they couldn't pay it back. If they couldn't, he would illegally harvest their organs, and sell them on the black market to recoup his losses.
Despite how deadly and dangerous of a criminal he was, he was stealthy and elusive, however those skills couldn't keep him away from the war.
In just the blink of an eye, the small town he stalked was wiped off the map by a wave of bombings.
Although he died, the amount of curses he had received from the masses, corrupted his soul transforming him into a powerful vengeful cursed spirit.
Now he was strong, he didn't need to hide in the shadow's anymore. But then the number of Sorcerer's grew, and very quickly he was pushed back into the dark.
'DAMNIT.'
One day an old man nearing death came to him. He looked like a human, but the surgery stitching across his forehead told him otherwise.
"You want to flip this world on its head? Your answer is Ryomen Sukuna. He is the only way."
And thus the cult of Sukuna was born.
**
The cult leader, dreaming about his almost forgotten past suddenly awoke.
'How curious... remembering that after all this time..'
Not long afterwards, a familiar figure emerged from the shadows. He was a young man blonde man, wearing a dark trench coat, but what was important about him was the surgery stitching on his forehead.
"Oh, it's you. What was your current name again?"
"Senjuro."
"Ah.. right.. I'm sorry. Lately, things have become rather.. blurry.."
Senjuro seemed a little interested in his current condition, but he came here for business, not to talk.
"How are the plans going, Kladd."
Kladd stood up from his throne, before walking past Senjuro who just looked at him curiously. He approached the edge of the balcony, which peered out into the whole world.
"Why did you ask me to build up an army? They are all useless."
He did not respond.
"No matter, I shall take care of it myself."

Akumu cautiously walked up towards the now unconscious priest. Despite how badly his face had deformed from that punch, and the amount of blood seeping through his mouth and nose, he was not dead.
Teacher Yasei had taught him about him about this the other day. The black flash. A punch with cursed energy applied to it in 1 millionth of a second, multiplying the users damage by 2.5x. Not only was it an incredibly powerful technique that was extremely difficult to use, but it fundamentally alters and improves one's understanding of cursed energy.
Although he couldn't describe it, Akumu felt like he'd grown a lot in just a couple moments. Whatever inefficiency he had in controlling cursed energy compared to everyone else, was now almost gone.
'I feel like I could do more with dark whips too.'
A voice then called out to him,
"Akumu?"
It was Hagone, but he was followed along by a girl wearing one of the executives robes. Akumu quickly raised his guard, but Hagone told him that she was an ally.
The girl in question had long black hair and her pale white skin that matched the colour of her empty eyes.
She then spoke,
"Have I met you before?"
"No. I joined a month ago."
She stared at the confused Akumu intently before quickly introducing herself.
"My name is Taori Yumehito, a grade 1 sorcerer. I'm currently serving my 2nd year at Jujutsu Tech, and my current rank there is 7th."
He still hadn't asked Hagone about the rankings, but at least he knew who the seventh ranked was. She was a grade 1 sorcerer, much like Kenji, so it would be wise to assume everyone else was at the same rank or higher, except him of course.
"I was the sorcerer who was sent to infiltrate the cult. I was the one who informed the elders that they were planning an attack, and I've also learnt what they planned on using the finger for."
Of course, they were after the finger, he almost forgot. Thanks to someone like Shinji, he was starting to believe that they all just killed for the fun of it.
"So what were they going to use it for? One of them weren't really planning on eating it, were they?"
In the history books, he had heard about a famous sorcerer of the past eating one of sukunas fingers. Despite how small the chance was, his body was able to survive, and even became his vessel. It was his fault even that Shibuya was wiped off the map.
'What was his name again?'
Before Taori could answer his question, an earthquake rumbled through the lands. No.. it was the sound of something incredibly powerful, crashing into the earth right behind them all. A wave of dust exploded, as harsh winds threatened to blow them all back.
A sinister voice then said,
"Of course the mole was you, Anri. Or was that name which you casted away a lie too? No matter, I shall handle everything myself."
Emerging from the dust cloud, was a humanoid cursed spirit. It was an athletic young man with light cerulean skin, white palms and soles, unkempt silver hair, grey eyes and a pair of short horns. He no longer wore his usual red and gold garb, and instead came shirtless with nothing but black jeans.
The amount of cursed energy he was emitting, was enough to make Hagone vomit as he fell onto his knee's. Akumu was frozen in place, while Taori appeared to be doing slightly better. However, none of them dared to move an inch.
"What? Surprised? If anything, this was the one secret I could keep from you people. Those robes I wore were special ya know?"
He calmly walked past the two 3 of them, and stopped in front of Shinji who was still knocked out.
"Even after I cared for you so much, you turned out to be just as useless. What a shame."
He picked up the man by the head before crushing his skull into millions of pieces. He didn't even flinch one bit from the gruesome display, but it was thanks to that shock, Akumu and Taori broke free from his fear.
The two quickly lunged at the demon-like spirit, but it delivered a gut punch to both of them sending them flying a good distance away. It then continued to walk forward, creating a hole in the wall as it entered the monastery through brute force.
Multiple blood-curdling screams could be heard inside, while others were still chanting desperately, before being silenced one by one.
And then only a couple moments later, it re emerged with a small box in its right hand.
"Finally. After 50 long years.. the promised time of freedom will arrive. If I wanted to, I could eat it right now and gain quite a bit of power, but my greed is far greater than that."
Akumu finally gave in, as his dark whips disintegrated letting his earlier wounds re-open, forcing him to stop. Taori on the other hand, opened her simple domain once more as she sprinted towards Kladd yet again.
Kladd easily caught her weapon in his finger tips.
"I desire not just to free Sukuna.. but to become him. Everything that is his, I want it for myself. And when that time comes, I shall kill you then."
He then back handed Taori with blitzing speed, sending her flying once again. This time, she did not get back up. Next, he walked in front of Hagone who was still struggling with fear. He tried his best to raise his weapon, all to no avail.
"You couldn't even fight back while your comrades did. How shameful."
And with a snap of his fingers, sparks of flickering light bounced into the air, before blowing up right in front of him. Hagone was sent blasting away as the top of his body took the direct blast from the explosion.
**
The unconscious Akumu reawakened a couple of hours later in a Shaky bed. As he got up, he quickly realized that he was in a tent. His wounds appeared to be bandaged, but they were still fresh and threatened to open again. Remembering that curse spirit appearing, he quickly left and discovered that the monastery was in ruins.
There appeared to be more Sorcerers here, and a miniature base camp seemed to be established next to the main building that was now collapsed.
"Brother?"
Kenji Dojima was amongst them too, surprisingly.
"So you finally woke up huh? We were just about to get ready to storm their hideout. If we don't get to them as soon as possible, then Japan's finished. These are all the sorcerers we were able to gather in the nearby area. I tried to get that Gojo, but—"
"Hagone and the others! Are they okay!?"
Of course, he immediatly asked about his friends first. Dojima smiled reluctantly,
"Yumehito is still unconscious, I don't know when she'll wake up, but we will probably have to go without her. Takeshi should be fine too, as for Hagone..."
Akumu's face darkened. He was the last one left after Taori and him were beaten. It was likely that he was dead.
"That lucky bastard unlocked reverse cursed technique before me! I've used countless backflashes, and even I haven't grasped it yet, so how did he do it??? Oh well, he is a little crispy, but he's mostly fine."
He was glad to hear everyone was safe, but something else was still bothering him. He had failed in his mission to protect the finger, and it wasn't even him that killed Shinji. That cursed spirit was definitely a special grade, and although Kenji and Taori were both grade 1, did they really stand a chance?
Kenji noticing that Akumu seemed very glum. He thought for a moment, before saying,
"Every once in a while a man is allowed to cry, but if you still have the strength to stand up, then you can keep fighting. Just because you lost once doesn't mean that you have reached the end! Keep fighting, that's the path we have taken as Jujutsu sorcerers. It's what Misoto taught you to do, wasn't it?"
A single tear streamed down his right eye, but he quickly wiped it away.
'That's right.. I'm still alive, so I can fight him again. We have a chance, we can do this.'
If he lost once, he would come back again, and if he lost twice, he would come back 100 times more. As long as he was still living, he wouldn't give up.
Hagone was still distraught from earlier, Yukiko was fine as she had stayed to protect Okiko, Taori quickly recovered and was even desperate to get to their hideout quickly, and Kenji was here too.
Akumu was the worse for wear out of all of them, Hagone couldn't heal others with his reverse cursed technique, but his own cursed energy had largely replenished, so he could push himself with dark whips if needed too.
The 5 were now ready for their last confrontation with the Demon Lords Cult.
