"Oh? This is new.."
The stitch headed curse user dropped Misoto's head, as he grew even more interested in Akumu than before. Although his cursed energy had increased a good amount, it wouldn't be enough to defeat him.
'Still though.. where did he get that power?'
Without wasting another second though, Akumu launched one of the black whips at the enemy with astonishing speed, however, the sorcerer simply kicked the severed head at the attack, which made Akumu him retract his move. Seeing an opportunity the sorcerer conjured one of the black swords, and quickly leapt towards the vulnerable Akumu.
Unfortunately for the sorcerer though, Akumu had already set up a trap around himself. Numerous dark whips begin to claw out of the ground, attempting to grab and pull the enemy sorcerer into the earth and crush him to death.
But the curse user summoned a sword beneath his feet and ascended further above ground, surfing in the sky. The sorcerer then summoned two more swords and launched them at Akumu.
Akumu's body was too weak to move, and even by reinforcing it with cursed energy, he wouldn't be able to evade them in time. So rather than focusing on his bodies movement, he relied on his dark whips as they dragged him out of the way.
'Most sorcerers possess an Innate technique which is unique to that person's body or family tree. That curse user can summon swords, but only 4 at best. Right now he's using one to fly, while holding onto another two.'
The Curse user was hanging in the sky, simply waiting for Akumu to make his move first. Despite how savage and brutal he was, it was clear he was a competent and cautious fighter. He had never seen something like what Akumu could do, so he reasoned it as being an Innate technique, or a Cursed energy trait.
Although traits were much simpler, if it was a technique, then that meant it could be more complicated than it seemed. In other words... he couldn't risk being touched by them, not even a bit. Akumu understood this.
'Alright then.. I have an idea.'
Akumu withdrew all his dark whips, as they were draining his cursed energy rapidly. Two new ones then grew from his back, as they extended to the schools roof, and then threw him up there.
The sorcerer watched curiously as he observed Akumu's struggle. He was purposely giving him time to try something, but Akumu himself he didn't care. He then latched two of the whips onto the fences of the roof and prepared to slingshot himself at the sorcerer.
In this short time, Akumu had quickly adapted to this new power of his. The dark whips could stretch and contract like rubber, while they also spawned from anywhere on his body. However, just keeping them manifested drained his cursed energy.
Akumu then released the tension in his dark whips, sending him flying towards the sorcerer at a speed no normal human should've been able to achieve.
But the curse user was much faster.
The stitch headed man, summoned and fired his remaining 3 swords, and watched as they all flew at Akumu while he was still mid air.
Even if he could use Cursed Energy effectively now, he was still restricted by the laws of physics. Akumu had no way to dodge, and he wasn't strong enough to deflect the swords.
But somehow, it went just as he planned it.
Just a fraction of a second from before he was cut, Akumu was abruptly pulled back in the air, allowing the swords to zip past him.
The curse user widened his eyes, before smiling.
"Oh?"
From his perspective, Akumu had flung towards him while leaving himself vulnerable. he should've been trapped in the air, unable to dodge any attack. However, just before Akumu released the tension in his dark whips, a third one emerged from his back and attached itself to the ground. Once Akumu finally flung himself, his body would obstruct the curse users line of sight, preventing him from seeing the third dark tentacle.
Since Akumu was now plummeting, he had to act quickly. Now that he was within range, he fired two dark whips from one of his arms, letting them wrap around the curse users only platform.
'I'll rip away your support, and then pummel you to death!'
However, to his dismay, the curse user smiled in glee.
"What an interesting plan you've concocted. However, once upon a time, I learned that in the face of absolute strength, all scheming can come to a grinding halt."
Despite the black whips successfully grabbing onto the sorcerer's footing, the blade refused to even budge. Akumu's whips lacked the strength to move the man, and even then, he had surprisingly launched two more swords at the struggling high schooler.
"He can use 6 swords instead of 4??", Akumu gawked.
A blade pierced through his chest, while the other cut through the dark whip of cursed that bound the blade the curse user was standing on. Akumu plummeted to the ground, crushing both of his legs, dislocating his shoulder, and fracturing several limbs.
The pain was so unbearable, that Akumu couldn't even scream as blood flooded his lungs and throat.
The stitch headed curse user then said as he landed on the ground in front of him.
"Congratulations Akumu Saigo. If I had known you could grow this quickly, then I would've done this much sooner! You truly have my respect "
Despite the strange thing he said, Akumu quickly forgot, as the immense pain drowned out all of his senses.
"Unfortunately though, I can't play with you anymore. It seems that someone annoying has arrived."
Upon finishing his words, the veil that surrounded the school then quickly began to break apart as it crumbled. But it was what stood levitating in the center of the sky that caught both of their attention.
Now that Saigo had re-awakened to cursed energy he could sense the overwhelming amount of pressure that the new sorcerer emitted, but it was the man's face that had calmed the boy down and allowed him to finally fall unconscious peacefully.
The new sorcerer had hair as white as snow and sapphire-like eyes that seemingly reflected the whole word. He possessed well-defined facial features but his slim body made him look like some kind of Super model. But even with this fragile appearance one thing that was undeniable about him was his strength.
Overwhelming and all-devouring. This man was a well-known descendant of a line of ancient sorcerers. He was a man loved for his power and desire to protect the weak. With just the mention of his name forcing the criminals of Japan, to retreat to illegal islands of the country.
His name was Owari Gojo, The strongest sorcerer of today.
"He is the spitting image of that Gojo from 100 years ago", the stitch-faced sorcerer said.
"I was passing by on a walk, but then I noticed this barrier over here. I didn't expect to meet a traitorous rodent like you though, Senjuro."
"Traitorous? It was you who betrayed me, Owari. But it all doesn't matter anymore, you cannot stop what is coming."
A disc-shaped cursed spirit then arose from Senjuro's shadow, causing it to warp the space around him. Owari would've teleported, but the space around him had been compromised somehow. He started to dive down as fast as he could, but Senjuro already had disappeared without a trace.
At least however, he left behind the basically dead Akumu. Although he wasn't proficient in applying Reverse Cursed Technique to others, he managed to stop Akumu's wounds from growing worse, as well as his bleeding.
