As Lucent teleported to the throne room, he couldn't help but slump down on the throne and breathe a huge sigh. It was an exhilarating experience to be able to talk and converse with his NPCs but at the same time nerve-racking. His nervousness never really went away when he talked to them, it just helps that he is wearing a mask, speaking of which, he doesn't remember if there was a face behind the mask. He wants to find out but there are more pressing matters, he needs to think and prepare for whatever Romon and Galilei find out there. He must prepare for every possibility there is, everything is a big unknown right now and Lucent wants to be in control of the situation. That's one thing that Keith hates, not being in control of a situation, he also hates unpredictability, which he is in right now—a huge unpredictable situation. This hate for not being in control and unpredictability stems from the day when he lost his parents. Lucent grabbed a notebook and a pen from his inventory and started writing down what possible scenarios would happen and what his appropriate action would be, he finds writing down his thoughts or plans helpful in focusing his mind.
While Lucent was busy writing, Romon was also busy fulfilling his task. As he walks through the streets of the sixth ring, the low-level creatures, angels, and people he passed all bow their heads in respect before continuing to go about their business. The streets were busy, and imperial guards were bustling around. 'They must have received their orders from Adam and Opeter.' Romon thought. As he passed a few more buildings, clouds started to roll in. 'Clouds? The schedule for rain isn't till a few days from now. Did His Holiness command the Chairs?' As Romon thought that, he looked up at the sky, at the distance there was a glowing light seemingly commanding clouds of dust. As he used his enhanced vision, he saw Om performing his task as well.
Chairs are high-level angels that have the power to control the weather, they were tasked with irrigating the lands of Heaven on specific days. They are giant floating eyeballs with rings of eyes encircling them, they also have three pairs of white wings and a glow of divinity to them.
After a few more minutes of walking, he reaches a massive wall—the edge of the sixth ring. He leaped on top of the wall and looked down. On the other side, there were stairs that led to the observatory. Since Heaven was set to an eternal day, it is hard to set up an observatory and look into the stars. Hence the observatory was built outside the sixth ring where it is enveloped by the shadows. There were places in heaven that got dark, they usually happened when rings overlapped each other and cast a shadow at the lower rings. The rings of Heaven are constantly moving and tilting to a different axis, this is so that the atmosphere of Heaven stays. Romon walks down the stairs and finally reaches the observatory, as he walks in, he is greeted with mountainous piles of paper sprawled about. At the center of the observatory stands an impressive telescope enhanced with magic and data crystals to be able to see a spec of dust from very far away. Maning the contraption was Galilei, a mad genius although Romon just thought of him as mad. Galilei seemingly not noticing his presence, Romon coughs to get his attention, but the old man engrossed in what he is seeing through the telescope that he doesn't hear Romon. He coughed again loudly this time, which seemed to get Galilei's attention, and looked at Romon's way.
"Ah sir Romon, I apologize, I didn't hear you walk in," Galilei said sheepishly. "What brings you here today?"
"Yes, I know," Roman said deadpan. "As for the matter that I am here, well, His Holiness has tasked us to investigate this anomaly that we are in."
"Ah yes, the anomaly, I was just observing a droplet about to fall a blade of grass when suddenly BOOM! The grass and the ground disappeared and was replace by a void filled with stars! Stars that I have never seen before, new nebulas, constellations and planets. I have charted all of the stars of Fenrir but this is all new! I haven't been this excited since I saw that supernova way back. Oh, how magnificent!" Galilei rambled to himself.
The supernova Galilei was talking about was an in-game event commemorating the anniversary of the end of the war with the Qi. Romon coughs once again to stop Galilei's musings.
"Sorry sir, this is just so fascinating." Galilei said sheepishly.
Galilei stands at six feet tall with an unkept gray hair that flows to his back and a similarly unkept gray beard that reaches the floor. He wore a renaissance outfit similar to his namesake Galileo Galilei. He has blown out eyes making him look insane, his eyes have no pupils but rather was filled with constellations, as if he looked too much in the telescope and the stars was imprinted into them.
"It is alright, I applaud your enthusiasm… wait… did you just say planets?" Roman asked in shocked.
"Yes, sir Romon, there are new planets in the sky. It seems that there is one in particular that is similar to Fenrir, in a sense that that planet holds life."
"Holds life you say," Roman said intrigue. "Show it to me."
Galilei adjusted the telescope, making it point at a specific direction in space before stepping aside to let Romon see into the contraption. Romon hurriedly looked into the telescope, and there it was, a singular planet with two moons and a ring teaming with life. Romon took a step back and looked at this crazy old man, smiling at him.
"It seemed you are way a head of me, we must gather everything we could about this planet. His Holiness will be pleased about this Galilei."
"Thank you, sir."
"With this new world, there are endless possibilities. And with this new world, a new realm to conquer for His Holiness's name." Roman smiled wickedly.
As Heaven was observing the new world so too did the new world. Sasha Colby had always had an admiration for the stars and the unknown. She is a poor girl in a village called Aurelio located at the outskirts of the Fritz Kingdome. She works for a kind local lord as his assistant. Like her, Lord Bellmont also has the interest in the stars. She originally worked for him as a maid but when the lord found out her interest, he promoted her as his assistant.
Lord Bellmont spends most of his time at his observatory with his assistant Sasha whom he treats as his grandchild, which often makes his grandchildren jealous of her, but Sasha grows to ignore their pestering and stick to her dreams of knowing more about the cosmos.
"Master look! I think I found a new star." Sasha exclaimed in excitement.
"Oh, really? Let me see." Lord Bellmont said in excitement as well. "You are right, you seem to have found a new star! Great job my dear." Lord Bellmont praised. "But there seem to be something odd about this star."
"What do you mean?" Sasha asked.
"It's strange. Stars are millions of miles away and it takes millions of years for their light to reach us." Lord Bellmont said without a room for any argument.
"Your right my lord, what seems to be so odd about this star?"
"Well, if you remembered your lessons and the books that I have lent to you, you can tell if a star is close to us or not by its shift in color. The closer the star to us it will be blueshifted and the farther they are they becomes redshifted."
"Yes, I remember," Sasha said rolling her eyes fondly at the old lord.
"If you have then you would have notice that this start is neither redshifted or blueshifted but rather this star is just white." Lord Bellmont said, seriousness in his voice.
"But doesn't it mean that is just a star?" Sasha said inquisitively.
"No, its more like it just appeared in our system out of nowhere. Write down everything that you might observe about this star. I'll send a letter to the Royal astronomer's guild." Lord Bellmont said in a hurry outside the observatory into his office.
Sasha looked once more into the telescope in wonder. "What are you?" She said pure excitement in her voice.
