"Ah, my back hurts." Red brought down his headset to the table as he laid back against the chair.
After their first game, they played again for 7 more times, having a total of 8 games in just a matter of time. If it wasn't just late already, then he knew that they would have played more.
Red stretched out his arms and neck. Sitting in front of the computer for so long had caused his shoulders and neck to be in pain.
"That's our last game, everyone," Red announced to the group.
"My butt hurts, Brother Red!" Jules cried out as he stood up.
"It's because you don't exercise, Jules." Eric tilted his head to the side. He also stood up to stretch the lower part of his body.
"I don't know what is that. Leave me alone and my happiness, Eric." Jules made a face. He pouted his lips and looked away to not further engage in a conversation with Eric.
Eric chuckled as he shook his head. He turned around and faced Solar and Red instead.
"Nice game guys," Eric gave them a thumbs up.
"Nice game too, everyone," Solar flashed a smile and nodded. She then faced Red, who was beside her. "Especially you."
Red chuckled. "Let's play again next time."
"I'm good with that, Brother Red!" Jules's face brightened after hearing it.
Looking at his desk, Jules saw the heap of food packaging and empty canned soda he consumed in just 4 hours.
"Woah!" Cj's eyes widened.
"I overate, didn't I?" Jules worriedly asked. He looked down and saw his stomach bulging out.
"That's fine, Jules." Cj consoled hi,. "You can always exercise if you want to lose weight."
Eric nodded in agreement. "I'll give you a discount in my gym if you want."
"How much?"
Eric's lip curved upwards. "2%" he answered, followed by a laugh.
Jules rolled his eyes. He jokingly threw a clean tissue in Eric's direction. "What will I do with that 2%?"
"Ouch!" Eric exclaimed out loud as the piece of tissue hit his shoulder. He immediately walked around and went near Red.
"Look, Red! Jules is starting to hit me now!" Eric leaned forward and hid behind Red's body.
Red took a deep breath and tilted his head to the side. He put his hand on top of Eric's head and pushed his face away.
"Get your face away from me," Red uttered as he stepped back.
Red's answer made everyone laugh, especially Jules, who was laughing out the most.
Eric shook his head to the side. He sat again in the chair and pretended as if he was hurt. He even goes to the lengths of putting his head down on the table.
"Huhu, I don't have anyone to side with me here."
Red sighed. He eyed the rest of his teammates and mouthed, "Let's pay our bill now."
Solar, Cj, and Jules quickly nodded their heads agreeing. The four of them silently walked away, leaving Eric alone at the table, looking like a fool.
"Huhu, I just want to have friends." Eric, who had no clue about what happened, continued his fake cries.
After minutes of not hearing any answer from his friends, Eric quickly raised his head and was about to complain when he saw that he was alone.
"Why are y—Huh?" Eric's eyes widened after seeing that he was alone.
Eric quickly looked over to his left and right, looking for them, but he found nothing.
He quickly took his phone off the table and went out in a panic.
Eric couldn't believe that his friends would leave him there!
Eric went outside, on the keeper's desk but he didn't find anyone there.
"Where are they?"
Without a choice, Eric rushed to go downstairs, exiting through the main door of the restaurant.
Red and the others who were waiting outside the restaurant smiled widely. They waved their hands energetically at Eric as he went outside.
Eric's eyes narrowed. He glared at all of them. "You guys are so mean! I hope the one who planned this will step on shit later!" he mouthed.
Cj, Jules, and Solar all pointed at Red.
"It was his idea," Solar informed Eric.
Eric's eyes widened once again. He immediately raised his hand, shaking it as if he made a grave mistake.
"Hehe, what I mean is y-you know…" Eric stuttered after seeing the serious look on Red's face.
"They say if you step on shit, then you'll be rich." Eric quickly continued what he was about to say.
Cold beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he awkwardly laughed.
'How come Red could think of pranks already?' Eric thought.
Red was always calm and relaxed in-game and in real life. He may join the fun, but this is the first time he initiated it.
Eric walked beside Jules and Cj and stayed silent.
Red tilted his head to the side and silently laughed. "We already paid for your bill."
Eric's eyes sparkled. 'Thanks, Boss Red!" he quickly straightened his body and saluted to Red.
Red shook his head after seeing Eric's movement. It seemed like they haven't grown at all in the span of 3 years. The way they act was still the same as back then.
"How are you going to go home?" Red curiously asked them.
Solar smiled. "My apartment is just near here, so it's fine."
Eric and Jules looked at each other before answering, "We're near each other so we're both going to take a cab." they answered.
"I'll take a cab too," Cj answered with a smile on his face.
Red nodded and smiled. "Take care."
"We'll get going then," Eric and Jules uttered as they waved their hands.
"Me too," Cj hugged each one of them. Deep in his heart, it was quite sad that they would be parting ways with one another again.
Solar smiled as she waved her hands back. "Take care, guys! Don't forget to message us when you're at home already."
Eric, Jules, and Cj, nodded their heads in unison. They waved their hands for the last time before walking away.
Solar and Red, who was left alone, faced each other. They chuckled as their eyes met one another.
"What now?"
