Red did not know what to do as silence ensued at the table. His eyes quickly darted at Cameron and Yuki, glaring at them.
"Uh oh…" Yuki instinctively made a sound as he noticed the way Red looked at them.
He quickly looked at Cameron, slightly elbowing him in his stomach.
It seemed like they became too excited that they hadn't been aware of their surroundings and if it was fine to say it.
"Oh!" Cameron awkwardly laughed. He swallowed, feeling the lump in his throat.
"What are they saying, Red?" James's curiosity was piqued.
James had already recovered from being starstruck earlier. Now he was more confused about how the three seemed to be close to one another.
Red shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know too," he answered.
Cameron scratched the back of his head.
"Brother Red told us some helpful advice the other week, but we thought of it wrongly at first. We didn't realize of his intention and how helpful it is! That's why we became his fans," he explained what happened after a while.
After realizing their mistakes that day, Hubert called them for a meeting immediately. That was when they realized what Red said.
They just learned that they had a lot to say to each other after being together for so long.
On that night, they all went out, going to a nearby hang-out place. They got drunk and somehow managed to talk to each other.
It was with the help of alcohol that they got the courage to open up. Led by Hubert, all of them shared their feelings afterwards.
They talked the whole night, reaching until the sun peeked in the sky. It was a build-up of words and emotions that hadn't been expressed and said in such a long time.
Yuki nodded, backing up Cameron's words.
"We're very thankful to Brother Red because of it."
It may sound an exaggeration but Cameron felt as if he and his teammates had gotten closer to each other after that day. He also noticed that their communication in the game had improved.
Now, they were willing to listen to one another, especially when discussing strategies in the game.
Red slowly nodded, noticing that it was the truth and not just a made-up lie to cover what they said.
"That's good," he flashed a slight smile at them.
Cameron and Yuki froze on the spot after seeing Red smiling at them. Their eyes sparkled with adoration.
"Ohhh," James nodded, understanding what the players were talking about.
James sighed and glanced at Red. He made a face and said, "So you're the reason why I'm suffering right now."
Hearing it, Red couldn't help but chuckle. "If you word it out like that, then I think so," he answered.
James tilted his head to the side. "Because of that, you will need to treat me some ice cream."
As if it was an opportunity, Red quickly agreed to it. He handed James some cash and told him to go buy some ice cream at the counter.
James obviously didn't refuse it. When an opportunity was given, one should take it wholeheartedly especially if it's food.
James believes that all food is good, but nothing beats free food at all.
"I'll buy it then," James smiled in glee. He glanced at the two players and gave them a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry guys! Your brother Red will also treat you ice cream with this," he uttered, waving the money bills in the air.
Cameron and Yuki's smiles widened.
"Thank you, Brother Red!"
"Make sure to buy a lot, Sir!"
James chuckled and nodded. He turned around and despite the long line in the cafeteria, he was determined to patiently wait for it.
When James left, Red's expression turned to a serious one. Dropping the utensils down on his plate, he placed his hands together and looked in front of him.
"How do you know about it?" Red questioned. The tone of his voice was filled with curiosity.
Red knew for sure that his skills and his gameplay last time weren't enough to give in to his identity. He even played poorly that day.
Cameron and Yuki smiled sheepishly. They knew that Red was BaBaoFan, the former team captain of Blazing Faze.
"Uhm…" Cameron scratched the back of his head, glancing over at Yuki.
Yuki feeling the gaze being thrown at him, cleared his throat. He explained to Red how the two of them knew about it.
It was quite funny as they found it out when they were playing last Saturday. They were confused seeing Red's name on their friend list, knowing that they hadn't even searched his name again after his fight with Hubert.
When they checked it, they found a history of messages between Cameron and Red. Although the message was only one-sided, since Red hasn't replied to any of Cameron's messages.
Cameron had been a great fan of BaBaoFan. He was also the reason why he joined the professional scene. That's why when they suddenly disbanded, he was so heartbroken to the point that he hadn't taken a shower for a week.
"Ohhh…" Red slowly nodded after hearing what happened.
"I see, I see," he repeatedly muttered. He found it funny that he was caught that way.
"We haven't told the others yet about it. Only me and Cameron knew about your real identity, Brother Red!" As if it was a great achievement, Yuki excitedly exclaimed.
Red smiled at Yuki. "That's good," he commended them.
He appreciated that they didn't share it with others. At least he knew, that there weren't a lot of people, yet who knew about his identity.
"Brother Red, are you sure you still want to keep your identity though?" Cameron intervened and asked the question.
"What do you mean?" Red's forehead creased, confused by the sudden question.
Cameron sighed, scratching the back of his head. 'It seemed like you still didn't know.'
"Brother Red, recently your team's name has been making a sound once again. A popular streamer played against you the other time and a lot of viewers noticed about it. It has been all over social media!"
