Chapter 32 - Red's Disciples

"Oh shit," Red muttered a curse as he scrolled over social media.

Just like what Cameron and Yuki had said to him, their name was really trending online.

Cameron, who was watching Red, scratched the back of his head. "It has been going on for hours now, Brother Red," he stated.

Red deeply sighed and nodded his head. Fortunately, they weren't caught playing in the internet cafe.

Judging by the way how his phone was silent, it seemed like his friends still did not know about it either. It was a surprise for him because it was the hottest topic on the web for the past 12 hours.

However, since some of them changed their in-game names, some people speculated that it was just a group of fans trying to mimic Blazing Faze for clout.

However, some still believed and hoped that it was really them.

Oh well, as long as they would not release any official statement, then all of this would only be a speculation.

Red glanced over at his back and saw that James was still in line. The surge of employees who lined up to eat had drastically increased compared to minutes ago.

As his eyes flew back to Cameron and Yuki, he noticed that they were staring at him as if there was something on his face.

Somehow, their gazes made him conscious of his looks.

"Is there something wrong in my face?" Red's brows furrowed.

"Not at all, Brother Red! I was just confused as to why I didn't recognize you at all." Cameron expressed his regret over the matter.

Because of it, he said some words that he genuinely regretted. He couldn't believe how he acted in front of his long-time idol.

Till today, he wanted to smack himself whenever he remembered it.

"It must be because you dyed your hair, and you looked so mature now, Brother Red," Yuki sighed. "I remember thinking how cool you were that time with your red hair and all."

Yuki's eyes glimmered in adoration as he reminisced the memories of his early teenage days. It was the time when his mom would scold him every day for playing too much.

Red couldn't help but chuckle lightly after hearing the compliment.

"What are you two doing here, by the way?" However Red's expression quickly changed. The tone of his voice suddenly became serious

Red somehow doubted that they went here just to talk and idolize him. There must be greater reasons why they chose to approach him.

Cameron and Yuki glanced at each other. Their hearts thumped after hearing the seriousness in Red's voice.

"Brother Red…" Cameron first started off. He swallowed deeply, feeling the dryness on his throat.

As He and Yuki shared a look at each other, the two of them nodded at the same time. They hold hands together, forming a fist.

"Please accept us as your disciple, Brother Red! We want to learn more about the game with your help!"

As if they had practiced the line initially, the two of them said it at the same time.

Red's eyes widened in shock. He couldn't believe the enthusiasm that they were showing.

Red tilted his head to the side. He took a deep breath and said, "I already stopped playing a long time ago. I'm just playing for fun now."

Despite Red's answer, the two shook their heads.

"We knew that your strength and skill in the game still haven't left you, Brother Red! We watched the clip of the livestream multiple times and the two of us were still amazed at your gameplay!"

Yuki answered, recalling the strength that Red showed in the game. Adding to that was Red's gameplay when he was fighting against their leader, Hubert.

They couldn't even count how many times they had watched the livestream yesterday after the topic broke out.

When Cameron and him saw it on the internet, they couldn't believe their eyes out. The two of them were roommates in the bootcamp and they basically stayed up all night because of the regret and excitement.

'The last time that I have seen someone like this was when I met Mark,' Red thought.

Cameron and Yuki reminded him of Mark's enthusiasm, although these two were just more extreme.

"I'm sorry, but I will have to decline it." Red smiled at them apologetically. "I want to enjoy the game first and get to have fun with it."

Even though Red was honored that they were his fans, he still had to decline it. Right now, he was just playing for fun.

Red wanted to enjoy the game first, something that he wasn't able to fully experience when he was still in the professional scene.

Red wanted his passion for the game to fully come back first, before thinking about it.

Cameron and Yuki defeatedly sighed. Their hearts were filled with sorrow after hearing Red's answer.

They initially thought that Red would reject them because of their past interaction, however, Red's reason right now, sounded even sadder to their ears.

They knew that playing in the professional scene could sometimes make the game pressuring rather than fun. Especially with the expectations of the others around you to be the best at any time.

Cameron forced a smile onto his face. He nodded and patted Yuki's back.

"That's still fine, Brother Red! Meeting you is already a great opportunity for us!" He exclaimed, not only trying to cheer himself up but also his friend.

Yuki also nodded. Even though he was disappointed and sad, he still understood Red's answer.

With a heavy heart, the two of them stood up. As the rejection sunk to their brain, they became sad and ashamed at the same time.

Being rejected by Red, they realized that were they worthy of being Red's follower?

"Thank you for your time, Brother Red! It's nice to meet and talk to you!" Cameron smiled widely. He cheerfully waved his hand as he said goodbye.

Red nodded.

As the two turned around, Red couldn't help but feel pity.

Thinking about it, even though he won't be able to teach them, he could still do another thing that would be of help to them.

Taking a deep sigh, Red flashed a smile on his face.

"How about we play together sometimes instead?"

With Red's sudden words, Cameron and Yuki, who just took a step, froze on the spot.
