Chapter 1 - REVELATIONS

It is in the very essence of humanity to aspire for greatness; an innate desire courses through our veins, driving us to improve our lot. While some might contend with a life that teeters between mediocrity and competence, there are others who, devoid of any ambition, might embrace this as an unassailable truth.

Derek, however, harbored no wish for an ordinary existence. It might be construed as selfishness, but his aspirations soared beyond the mundane—he longed to transcend the limits of mortality, to embody the very epitome of excellence. but derek lived in Chaldoria a land of magic and by that alone he had hope because in chaldoria The impossible can be made possible, and his dream will soon be realised

The chance for an ordinary person to suddenly become extraordinary hinges on access to magic. But this kind of magic can't be forced—it's granted through a revelation. Revelations don't come to those who simply wish for them; they are reserved for the chosen. Yet, much like life's unpredictable nature, revelations can occur randomly, without regard for one's character or personality.

The idea that an ordinary person could wake up one day and become extraordinary was only possible via the existence of magic that can only be tapped into once one has had his/ her revelation and revelations, it seems, bestow their blessings as randomly as life doles out its twists and turns – indifferent to character or disposition, making no promises, bestowing their favors on a capricious whim. So one yearns for the day his revelation will manifest, knowing full well that longing does not summon it. Revelations occur not by logic or reason; they simply are, as unexplained as they are transformative. And while people may weave conjectures and superstitious theories around their origins, ultimately, they stand corrected – all revelations are beyond the realm of mortal understanding.

As far as derek was concerned the last 10 years of his life was shit, Derek was just eight when he struck a hellish bargain with a devil merchant—a real shady bastard but inherently they weren't evil but did this matter to Derek fuck no not after the shitty deal he got, if the merchant heard this he would know that it could be much worse but that's a whole other rabbit hole to a whole other circle Of Hell that has never been forced on anyone, Derek can only blame himself and he's greed for this, the merchant was innocent. The twisted contract demanded Derek marinate in misery, get battered and bruised, served as the school's punching bag for a solid decade. "Don't you worry yourself now boy" the merchant had corned. "once you agree to this the Orr will yank the strings of reality, steer your every move, to ensure that every shitty term of this contract is met and when you're part of the deal is complete that which is in the shadows and beyond your reach shall fall into the light of your palms".

Well, guess what? Derek played by those rules, paid his dues in sweat and tears. His contract was up. Time to raise some hell.

Appearing before Derek as he celebrated, a grin stretching from ear to ear, he laid his eyes upon an unnatural creature with sewn-shut eyes. "The hour will leave you now as our contract is complete," it said, handing him a mysterious box. "Do not open it until the time strikes midnight, then shall you receive your prize." Derek, unconcerned, snatched the box, muttering, "I fucking deserve this." The merchant disappeared as his work finished. Six hours later, Derek stood before the box, eagerly awaiting the stroke of midnight. As the time approached, he opened it and as you opened it he gapsed as his eyes shot wide open "revelation" but what he saw after he opened the box left him speechless 'well isn't that ironic' he thought of what was before him.
