Three days had passed and the skies were still dark, making it very difficult for people to do their daily activities, the night creatures benefited the most from this crisis. With no hot rays from the sun the vampires moved freely in the land, the king stood by the tall transparent windows for three days without moving. No food or water not even blood, he didn't want to talk to anyone and he also stared at the strange skies, what in the world was going on? Queen Helena came inside the room to check up on him again and she didn't know what to say else. She was happy because Esther was gone and out of her life even though her men didn't return to report to her that same night she had a good feeling. She hugged him from behind and sniffed in his scent, she exhaled when his strong scent filled her nostrils. He still didn't move, she squeezed him when he didn't say anything, it was starting to annoy her, she wanted him but he didn't look at her even for once the way that he looked at Esther.
She had come to the palace due to political reasons but she fell in love with the demon king and became greedy for him and the throne, she knew very well she had to choose one but her body wanted love also. She turned him around to face her and she looked into his pale red eyes, they had gone pale due to lack of blood, sleep and all. He stared at her blankly not willing to say anything and she pulled him closer, " just accept the fact that she's no more and be mine alone" she said calmly into his ears and pepper kissed his neck and up his ears. She was shocked when he reacted, he held her arm painfully and turned her around, her arm turned behind her and she screamed. " I want you to leave and don't come back, I will kill you if you show your face here again!" He said sternly in her ear before he growled and released her arm and Helena bolted away from the place.
Esther was looking at the small face of her child with a lovely smile on her weak face, she had her finger in his small fist, which he held on to for a while now. " You have been sleeping too much my baby, when will you let your mother see those beautiful eyes of yours, huh?" She said and move her fingers through his soft hair, she bet he would grow up to be a ladies man because of his beauty. " You are awake! Time for you to eat something and take your medicine" lady Norma said and Esther had a frown on her face, if not that the horrible medicine was helping she wouldn't have taken it again. She came to sit on the edge of the bed and placed her hand on Esther's thighs which she had forced to close since day one, she didn't want to close her legs not walk either. Esther stared at the old lady not knowing what she wanted, she just gave her a patt before she looked at the sleeping child. "You know he is the reason behind the dark skies, right?" She said still looking at the child. Esther looked at her child also, " what do I do now, will people come after us?" Esther asked worried for her safety and her little one and lady Norma shook her head. " Since you entered my house, this building has been placed under a spell. Only harmless people can come in without being burned, I had to lie to the town people that tell can't come here without my permission" she continued " I met a powerful old demon and he said he would come around but I don't think the spell will allow him inside because everything about him is intimidating.....if only we could control perhaps the spell" she said and stood up from her place, " I will be back with your food and medicine" she left the room.
Esther managed to get up on her feet and carried her child in her arms and strangely made her way to the window with no difficulty, she stared at her closed legs with amusement, she didn't stumble nor hold anything to walk. She kissed his forehead warmly before she looked outside, it was evening time and the skies were still dark. She leaned on the side of the window enjoying the cold breeze that has been happening for some days now. A thought came into her mind and Esther walked to the bathroom with her child held close to her heart, she sat in the bathtub after filling it with warm water and unbuttoned the top part of dress. Looking at the sleeping child, she then took out her right breast and wondered how it would feel for him to suck her, the healer said she didn't have breast milk at the moment but her instincts says otherwise. She placed her nipple on the baby's lips and the coldness of his lips made her shiver, she kissed his cheek and forehead. Now both were wet in the bathtub, she managed to open his mouth and placed her nipple in, a smile formed on her face when her child moved in her arms. So he was there! She moved her fingers through his hair and kissed his forehead again whispering something to the baby with a smile. Esther rested her head on the edge of the tap with her eyes closed, she had seen Helena breastfeed Austin and had wanted the same feeling.
After a while, her eyes shot open when she felt something soft wet move around her nipple and next feeling was a little painful, it was as he was pulling out her once sleeping nipple and she took in a deep breath to relax herself. It was okay now and he suck her slowly, she brought her face to see his and she was shocked to see his eyes half opened and he stared at her face, that was a beautiful site she didn't want to blink her eyes else she would miss a move of him. He had increased in his pace, sucking her fast until it slowed down again, Esther felt liquid pooling around her nipple and she cleaned his face and eyes with a wet towel. Now his eyes were wide open and Esther smiled at him, at last! She was looking at his face with his eyes opened....." There you are! I was worried-" lady Norma pulsed when she saw what was going on. She sighed before she went to get dry towel to dry the mother and child up, without saying anything not like she had anything to say, she was short of words. Esther walked back to the bedside still holding her child in her arms and lady Norma watched in owe, earlier that day she had to support Esther to walk to the bathroom but now..... did something happen when she went out of the room? Esther sat on the bed and supported her back with the headpost, she was still looking at her child and holding him close to herself. "He has beautiful eyes!" Lady Norma exclaimed with shinny eyes and Esther raised her head to look at the old lady, she nodded slowly and her eyes became blurry but she didn't say anything. His eyes reminded her of the king, he looked like him also.....
"Are you okay?"
Lady Norma asked her when she realized her change of mood in the room, Esther didn't say anything and kept looking at her child who had stopped sucking her breast and was now looking at his mother's face. Esther's nipple was now burning her and she couldn't even touch it with her hands, she looked at lady Norma with a frown. " How would I feed him now?" She said and the old lady laughed at her, what a child! " It hurts because you are new to breastfeeding, my dear. It will be fine within some days that's only if you heal quickly" she said and she brought the food closer to them. " Eat!" She said and took the baby from her, she went out with him so that Esther could eat, she also had the feeling that the child was the reason for the protection spell upon her house, so she took him out till the doors leading outside. She took in a deep breath before she opened the door and made her way outside only to be stopped by a voice behind her, "what are you doing?" Esther asked with a deep frown on her face as she walked over to them. Her pain did not stop her from walking, she came to stand near and asked the old lady again," where are you going with my child?" She had a raised brow and lady Norma turned to face her, " relax dear, I just wanted to give the demon I talked about the space to come into the house" she said and Esther stared at her, " come along with me then, I mean no harm" she added and she stepped out of the house followed by Esther and she looked around for the first time since she entered the town. It was a little cold and a few people made their way to their homes at that time, she looked around thinking were that demon was.
"Long time no see, lady Norma!" A voice startled the ladies and they turned to look at who, he was in his late thirties with his dark curly hair reaching his shoulders. He grinned showing his sharp teeth, to them and lady Norma smiled at him, " you still look young like I first saw you!" She exclaimed and the man came even more into the light. " You would have stayed young if you had allowed me turn you? How beautiful you were....." He said before he turned to look at Esther and then the child. " Am Forneus, my ladies!" He said still looking at Esther with amusement in his red eyes, " can you enter the house now?" Lady Norma went to the point of their meeting and he looked at the house before he nodded. He then took a step forward and opened the house, the spell was still there but not strong as when they were inside the house, he felt it tickle on his skin and he chuckled. How strong was this child, what kind of a creature was he? He thought before he entered the house and sat down on the old couch still feeling the spell try to bound him from staying there because of his status, he was a high leveled demon and was considered harmful even though he didn't mean any harm. Lady Norma and Esther entered the house again and took their seats opposite him, Forneus shifted in his seat when his eyes langed on the child again, the strong aura that filled the house now was not his but the baby's. What in the world was happening here? He raised a brow as he looked at him close, the baby stared back at him without batting an eye. " As much as I think he is a strange Child, we have something common...the demon blood is alive in his body" Forneus said.
