Rebecca:
If you say so.
You expect me to ask you this question too?
Edward:
"Edward smiles."
A little I admit, today I made clear progress.
Rebecca:
"Rebecca smiles too."
Show-off.
Where are you with your mastery of void energy?
To see if I should make fun of you.
Edward:
Well, I am now able to transfer void energy into my hand without worry, you can hold out your hand to see if you don't believe me.
Rebecca:
"Rebecca gets up and sits on the ground, close to Edward's arms, she then extends her hand towards him."
When you want.
Edward:
"Edward transfers void energy into his hand, superimposing his fingers on Rebecca's then squeezing Rebecca's hand as hard as possible."
Ggeh!
(It's hard to stay focused on my void energy flow, much harder than I thought.)
Rebecca:
"Rebecca wraps her hand with void energy to be able to resist."
(Clear difference, it's void energy which has not been gathered enough to be effective, but it's still void energy.)
You can stop, it's okay.
"Edward releases his strength and he removes his hand."
"As for Rebecca, she gets up and sits down on the other side of the bed."
You are now able to transfer void energy without concentrating for several long seconds before finally being able to use it, as you did at the beginning of your training.
It's true that this is a big step forward.
By any chance, did you use the void energy that you stored in your head, or did you use the void energy that you took from anywhere in your body?
I'm asking you this question because I'm almost 100% sure that's what I'm thinking.
Edward:
The void energy?
I took it from anywhere in my body, why?
Rebecca:
Raah, you're serious there.
"Rebecca pinches the tip of her nose."
Haah.
"Before stopping a few moments later."
It's incredible, you really put the cart before the horse while I was very clear when we started training a week ago already, learn to control the flow of void energy before use it on your body.
I explicitly asked you to train yourself to concentrate your void energy in your head so that you have better control and what you are doing is using this crappy technique where you gather void energy from anywhere in the body.
Just what's the point of not listening to my advices Edward, tell me?
Edward:
"A little embarrassed, Edward tries to look elsewhere."
Let's say it was a little too hard, so I wanted to test with this method, I found that it was a little easier to make circulate the void energy and then voilà, I ended up use this method.
Rebecca:
Reassure me, you did not use this method of training to train into manifesting your void energy today?
Edward:
No, I just wanted to test quickly, nothing more.
Rebecca:
Well, at least you didn't train for nothing, stop being stupid and use the method of storing void energy in the head when you train, you'll thank me later, you'll see.
I'm warning you, don't act stupid again if you don't want to eat yourself a good punch in your face.
I hope I'm clear.
"Rebecca gets up from bed."
I'm done talking, I'm going to go see my father downstairs to see if he needs help, as for you, take the opportunity to practice using the void energy the right way while I'm not there.
I hope this time you show me real conclusive results, alien fallen from the sky.
"Rebecca left the bedroom to go downstairs."
Edward:
(Easier said than done, but ok.
I can always try to improve, I will try once again to connect my void energy to my head.)
"Edward closes his eyes, concentrates on the void energy visible inside his body, resembling to small grains of sand."
"In complete darkness, Edward tries to gather a small amount of void energy into his body and control it until he reaches the head."
It should be noted that to get to this stage, Edward had to first train his detection of void energy.
Moreover, for all those who wish to begin training in the handling of the void energy, initially, the void energy is invisible when we concentrate on the interior of our body.
To be able to see the void energy, it requires staying for hours during several days with your eyes closed and concentrating on your blood circulation, your heart rate, your nerve connections, your digestive system, your muscles, your bones and his skin.
Doing all this unlocks after several days a bodily hypersensitivity which makes a person more relaxed when he concentrate and makes him develop more lively reflexes.
This also makes, without mentioning the void energy, a person more sensitive to their surroundings, because the detection of things present on the skin or visible to the naked eye is done more quickly.
It is only after passing this first obstacle that the void energy finally appears when we concentrate with our eyes closed on the interior of our body.
In Edward's case, getting over this obstacle took him six whole days, six days of intensive training on his bed with a goal in mind, being able to use void energy.
The continuation of this training is what Edward is experiencing right now, controlling these small luminous particles representing the void energy to be able to use the void energy on his body, towards his hands or his feet for example.
Edward:
"Edward is starting to sweat and getting tired."
(It's a real pain to gather void energy and move it so freely, compared to the other method where I just need to use void energy to project it near of my hands.
I really need to concentrate if I don't want to return to the start point.)
"Edward brings the cluster of void energy he created closer and closer to his head, until he reaches the part near the face."
"Edward feels that he is having more and more difficulty moving this mass of energy in his body."
(It's official, I hate this pressure I feel whenever I try to gather void energy and make it move like this.
I feel like my own body's energy is being drained as I do this.)
"Edward moves the cluster further and further until he reaches his brain, where the void energy, despite being controlled by his thought, cannot advance to store itself in what appears to be some sort of transparent space."
(Come on forward to my head!)
"He tries to move the void energy into this transparent space but he can't do it, as if the void energy is constantly being pushed back."
(Advance, advance, go there!)
"Without giving up, Edward continues to move the void energy as best he can, slowed by an invisible force that prevents the void energy from entering easily."
Gggrh!
(Why don't you want to move forward, you damn energy!)
"Edward continued for a few more seconds before releasing his control over the void energy due to body fatigue, letting the cluster he created disperse throughout his body."
"Edward opens his eyes."
Haaahh!
Haah!
Haaah!
Haaah.
(I failed again.
Ahh, how frustrating.)
Hah.
Time passed, week after week.
Edward and Rebecca continued to keep this routine, Edward trains himself, following the advices of Rebecca, the young woman who gave him the desire to have a new way of protecting himself that he did not know.
While Rebecca also continued to train with his father, practicing the void handling without talking about it to Edward, not seeing the interest at the time.
The week that followed this one saw Edward manage to walk again with difficulty, he took the opportunity to finally visit Rebecca's village, carried half by her.
He noticed at that moment, all the cold looks that Rebecca was receiving from the population of the village.
Wanting to talk to Rebecca about it, he pointed out this fact to her in the most innocent way possible.
But he only received an invitation from her to not talk about it, without saying anything more.
However, Edward wanted to know, he wanted to ask her again, help her if it was something that was bothering her but what stopped him was Rebecca's face distorted by rage, temporarily hidden by the lowering of her head.
A face so striking that he stopped his ambition, she looked so different when it came to the inhabitants of the village, just like him before.
Ignoring the situation in this moment, he instead took this opportunity to contemplate the landscape which had until then been inaccessible to him and to see Rebecca train his void handling in the open air.
As the weeks progressed, Edward quickly healed from his injuries, only a month and a half after being discovered in the forest, he was able to hunt animals to bring food to the inn thanks to Rebecca's teachings.
He also learned to speak with customers, to clean, wash dishes and cook in the inn while maintaining the same enthusiasm, he also learned to sing even if it remains subjective.
It all became routine.
Waking up in the morning - Outdoor training Hunting - Preparing lunch with Rebecca
Outdoor training - Preparing dinner with Ludo - Falling asleep under a cozy bed
This rhythm continued for an entire month, after his full recovery.
