In an instant, the Chief and Narra found themselves transported to the waterfalls.
"What did the Deity say to you, Narra?" inquired the Chief.
"She said we need to cleanse the spirits of the waterfalls, Chief, but I'm not sure how we're supposed to do that!" Narra expressed her concern.
The Chief reached into his bag and retrieved a container of white paint, a determined expression on his face.
"Narra, help me pour this paint around the falls to trap them inside," instructed the Chief as he handed the paint to Narra.
Together, they began pouring the paint around the waterfalls, while the Chief took out a bead necklace and began to pray over it.
As they worked, multiple female apparitions emerged from the water, their gaze fixed on Narra. Slowly, they advanced toward her, only to be halted by the force field created by the paint they had poured.
Enraged by their confinement, the women pounded on the force field and attempted to manipulate the vines outside of its boundaries to stop the Chief and Narra.
Finishing his prayers, the Chief threw the blessed bead necklace, causing it to expand and envelop the entire area, extending all the way to the bridge.
The Chief's swift decision to employ the bead to protect the village left Narra in awe of his leadership.
As the Chief's plan took effect, the agitated spirits ceased their futile attempts to breach the force field, standing motionless in the water. Suddenly, a spirit woman emerged at the heart of the waterfalls.
Floating gracefully at the center of the water, the spirit woman's appearance was striking. With long black hair cascading around her and dressed in a simple red gown, she possessed an eerie beauty. Her long, sharp teeth gave her a menacing aura.
Without warning, the spirit woman erupted into loud, mocking laughter, sending chills down Narra's spine.
The spirit woman's mocking laughter echoed through the air as she ridiculed the Chief's attempt to contain her with a simple bead necklace.
"You think that a mere bead necklace can hold me?... a toy?" The spirit woman said mockingly.
Undeterred, the Chief stood firm, asserting their purpose to cleanse the spirits under the protection of Deity Nemesis.
"We came here to cleanse everybody's spirit with the protection from Deity Nemesis," said the Chief
With a contemptuous laugh, the spirit woman scorned the Chief's faith in their deity, ridiculing Nemesis for her perceived inability to protect her own servants.
The spirit woman's tone dripped with disdain as she addressed the Chief.
"Your deity? How amusing. A weakening deity unable to protect her own servants. What folly, indeed," she remarked with a mocking laugh.
With a snap of her fingers, the force field shattered, allowing the spirit woman to advance menacingly toward Narra.
The woman directed her words to Narra with a tone of amusement.
"The child who broke the jar," she began,
"thanks to you, I was able to fully escape the confines of the jar and wield my power without restraint," she concluded, punctuating her statement with laughter.
Acknowledging Narra's inadvertent role in her liberation, the spirit woman taunted her, reveling in her newfound freedom and power.
Reacting swiftly, the Chief hurled a second bead necklace at the spirit woman, enveloping her in a golden light and binding her.
"Leave the child alone," he commanded,
In a fit of rage, the spirit woman commanded her fellow spirits to drag Narra and the Chief into the water, seeking retribution for their interference.
"Take these two into the water," she shouted, directing them to act.
As the spirits launched their attack on the Chief and Narra, the Chief swiftly erected a barrier to protect them from harm.
At that moment, a bracelet adorned with a tiger's stone materialized on Narra's wrist, followed by the appearance of the book that had previously emerged.
To Narra's surprise, the book suddenly opened, revealing a message on its left page:
"Would you like to open the shop?"
With a mixture of astonishment and determination, Narra composed herself and responded with confidence,
"Yes."
Instantly, the shop unveiled an item called "16 Bells of Last Sanity."

The chief looked at Narra with confusion evident in his expression.
"What is that?" he inquired.
"Chief, I know how to save these spirits. Please trust me and help me," Narra stated confidently.
"What do you need?" the Chief asked.
"I need human bones, blessed items, and pure energy," Narra replied.
"Human bones? Where do we get those? We can't disturb graves and dig now," the Chief responded.
"Chief, remember the bones sealed in the jar in the water," Narra pointed out, gesturing toward the water.
"Okay, and we can use my blessed beads and pure energy," the Chief suggested.
"Chief, I will be the one to get the bones in the water. I can find them faster while you provide me a way," Narra proposed.
"That is way too dangerous, Narra. I will not let you dive into that water alone," the Chief objected.
"I was blessed by the goddess. Trust me on this, Chief, and help me save these spirits," Narra insisted, looking intently at the Chief.
The Chief released the barrier, and Narra dashed towards the water.
The spirits chased after them, and the vines attempted to attack Chief and Narra. Narra got ensnared by the vines, but Chief swiftly severed them. However, they found themselves surrounded by the relentless spirits.
Chief raised the barrier once more, but it crumbled under the screams of the Corrupted Deity, who managed to break free from the binding beads.
With a flick of her fingers, the Corrupted Deity caused the vines to grow larger and ensnare both Narra and Chief. Alongside, a dense black fog enveloped the area, obscuring vision and suffusing the air with an ominous chill.
Approaching the bound Chief, the Corrupted Deity breathed on him, causing the Chief to choke and lose consciousness.
Seizing the opportunity, the Corrupted Deity extracted his soul, imprisoning it within the jar.
In the midst of chaos, Narra's eyes snapped open, and she activated her copied ability,
"The Great Eyes," a gift she copied from her mother.
With this power, she could perceive events unfolding around her.
Witnessing the Chief's plight at the hands of the corrupted deity, fear gripped Narra's heart.
Yet, she swiftly called upon her duplicate, Narra no.1 (who had temporarily assumed command in a previous chapter).
Summoning Narra no.1 to her side near the waters, Narra quickly relayed the dire situation.
With all duplicates linked to her consciousness, Narra no.1 comprehended the urgency of the moment.
Without hesitation, she plunged into the water, activating "The Great Eyes" to navigate the murky depths and locate the jars containing the bones.
To Narra no.1's dismay, she discovered numerous jars scattered across the riverbed, among them one containing the trapped monkey.
Using her enhanced vision, she pinpointed the jar with the human bones and swiftly retrieved it, along with the vessel containing the monkey.
Sensing the intrusion, the corrupted spirit deployed vines to ensnare Narra no.1 in the water.
However, Narra no.1 reacted swiftly, erecting a protective barrier – the technique that the Main Narra had learned from the Chief.
This barrier lifted Narra no.1 and the jars out of harm's way and propelled them toward Narra's main body.
With Narra no.1 safely lifted from the water, she quickly severed the vines ensnaring Narra.
As the immediate threat subsided, Narra wasted no time and summoned her book.
Amidst the chaos, a message materialized within the pages of Narra's book.

"Narra no.1, the Chief's soul has been taken by the corrupted deity. We must retrieve his soul to acquire the necessary materials for summoning the 16 bells of last sanity," Narra relayed urgently.
With resolve, Narra shattered another jar, releasing the trapped monkey.
Miraculously, the monkey was alive, albeit injured. Overwhelmed with relief, the two Narra's embraced the monkey, who looked on in bewildered confusion at the sight of his friend.
"Narra, I'm relieved the monkey is unharmed," said Narra, expressing her gratitude.
"Narra, the monkey has sustained injuries. I'll carry him while we retrieve the Chief's soul," Narra No. 1 offered, assuming responsibility for their furry companion.
"Agreed but maintain the barrier and stand by for support. Let's proceed," Narra instructed, leading the charge toward the jar imprisoning the Chief's soul.
In response to the corrupted deity's malevolent gestures, the vines intensified their assault, attempting to breach the protective barrier.
However, bolstered by their unity, the combined strength of the two Narra's held fast.
Even as the vines strained to penetrate the barrier, their efforts were thwarted, unable to breach the formidable defense erected by the united Narra's.
In a strategic move, Narra deployed a barrier to trap the malevolent spirits guarding the jar containing the Chief's soul.
Meanwhile, she activated The Great Eye's freeze effect, halting the movements of the surrounding spirits.
Seizing the opportunity, Narra no.1 shattered the jar, releasing the Chief's soul from its captivity.
Confusion clouded the Chief's expression as he attempted to break free from Narra's barrier, yearning to return to his physical form.
However, Narra no.1 quickly elucidated the situation, providing clarity to the bewildered Chief.
While Narra engaged the corrupted deity in combat, Narra no.1 stood sentinel, safeguarding the Chief's soul, the monkey, and fortifying Narra's defenses.
As Narra launched an assault on the deity, Narra no.1 remained vigilant, ensuring the protection of their companions.
With determination, Narra wielded the binding beads, slashing through the vines entangling the Chief's physical body.
As the vines fell away, she retrieved the Chief's form, allowing him to return to his body.
"Thank you, Narra, for your assistance. Here is the bead. What shall we do next?" the Chief inquired,
extending the Bead Necklace to Narra upon his return to his physical form.
In response, Narra summoned her book to submit the Bead Necklace.

With a resolute determination, Narra began striking the ground with the 16 bells of last sanity.
Instantly, the muddy terrain transformed into a lush green field.
Despite the onslaught of spirits, they were thwarted by the five layers of circling barriers surrounding her.
the barrier repelled their attacks, leaving them wounded in their futile attempts.
Undeterred, the corrupted deity unleashed her ultimate power, enveloping Narra in her Expanded Spirit Territory to imprison Narra within while reciting curses while the spirits continued their assault.
However, Narra remained calm, steadfastly advancing towards the corrupted deity.
The 16 bells, imbued with ancient power, imprison the spirits inside the bells.
Utilizing her Great Eyes ability, Narra froze the corrupted deity in place to prevent any escape attempts.
As the corrupted deity found herself ensnared by the freeze effect of Narra's Great Eyes, her rage erupted in a furious outcry.
"I will curse you and absorb your soul, lowly insolent human!" she bellowed, her voice echoing with a potent mixture of anger and malice.
Despite her bindings, the deity's aura pulsed with dark energy, emanating an ominous presence that sent shivers down the spines of those nearby.
Yet, Narra remained resolute, her gaze steady and unwavering as she confronted the corrupted deity.
With a firm resolve, she rang the bells thrice, activating the Bell Prison.
Standing before the corrupted deity, Narra declared,
"Your curses hold no power over me. I shall release you from this wretched curse."
Raising her hand, bells in tow, Narra commanded, "Purify this corrupted deity, Lytta."
The massive bell prison ascended above the corrupted deity before descending with a resounding finality.

Arkaden
-inspired by Arcadia is the name of a region in modern-day Greece, but it was also a place of reference in ancient Greek mythology. It was located in the Peloponnese, and was considered to be a wilderness in which the god Pan resided, along with dryads, nymphs and other spirits. It was believed that it was a utopic place, where inhuman creatures dwelled. Hermes, the god of thievery and the messenger of the other gods, would be seen roaming in the region, while Atalanta, a mythical heroine who participated in the hunt for the Calydonian Boar and managed to kill it, was the daughter of the king of Arcadia.
