Looking at the tall building in front of her, she entered inside and knocked softly at the door, there was a soft click and the door opened ti reveal a middle aged woman with brown hair and eyes of the same colour staring at her.
"Uhmm, Hi aunt". Kasela said awkwardly as she felt flustered. "I'm Kasela Winneys".
The woman's eyes widened fir a split second as if recognizing her, "You are Kasela?". The woman gasped as her eyes glistened with unshed tears.
"Oh poor child,come in". The woman dragged kasela in and closed the door. Dragging her further into the well furnished house, she sat her down as she began asking questions.
"Why did you arrive now? We have been waiting for a long time, how is your grandma?, Kasela why are you crying?" Her aunt known as Mrs. Geraldine asked her softly the moment she saw tears cascading down the girl's pale face.
" Aunt, grandma is dead and while on my way here, I was kidnapped but thankfully an unknown guy saved me, I lost all my possessions too". Kasela told her as she wept profusely, earlier when she was kidnapped, she tried to keep a strong facade but now she was infront of her aunt, she couldn't help but become vulnerable and so she wept profusely.
Footsteps was heard as Aunt Geraldine's husband Mr. Gabriel came down from the stairs, he saw his wife hugging a young girl, he approached them gently and noticed the girl crying. Noticing her husband, she released kasela as she introduced her "Honey, meet my niece kasela, she's 16 this year, she'll be staying here with us, we are now her new family and she'll also be schooling here". Aunt Geraldine introduced kasela to her husband. Crouching down to her, the man held the downcasted girl's hand as he spoke to her softly.
"Don't worry, cry no more, we will protect you and treat you as our own daughter, we already made a promise to your grandmother that we will take good care of you". The man said gently as kasela nodded her head.
Standing up, Aunt Geraldine led kasela upstairs as she showed her her room. "You need to freshen up and come have dinner, I know you are famished, eat and have a nice sleep, tomorrow will gonna be a long day".
An hour later, Kasela lied on the bed dressed in a beautiful pyjamas her aunt gave her, her thoughts went far as her thoughts went far as she thought about her new life, she had been brought up by her grandmother and knew nothing about life,the kidnapping incident had shooked her. Her thoughts also drifted towards the guy who had helped her for the first time in her life, she wished she had an elder brother one who could also look after her and protect her and she was still terrified of the incident. She drifted off to sleep, her mond occupied with what the future held for her. However, little did she know that this was just the beginning for her as her life will be filled with rollercoaster.
