The interior building of the school was painted in a golden colour, everywhere was bright and Kasela could see some students going to and fro in the large hall. The woman led her through a series of steps to the second floor and they stood in front of a painted metal door. The woman handed a key over to her as she showed her the room.
"This room here is yours and this is the key to your room", Madam Caroline handed the key over to her.
She unlocked the door and they both went in, by this time, her uncle and the two men arrived bringing her luggage with them. The room was spacious and beautiful, there was a bed and a wardrobe where she could put her clothes. There was also a bathroom and Kasela felt comfortable with the room. Taking a sheet from her pocket, Madam Caroline gave it to Kasela
"this is a pamphlet which will give you any information and location about the school" she told kasela,
"thank you,this will really help me familiarise myself with the school" kasela answered.
" Classes will be starting in two days from now, all you need to do is familiarise yourself with the school, lecturers and teachers". She told kasela as she walked out of the room leaving her with her uncle.
Kasela's face turned gloomy at the thought of her uncle leaving her, the man noticed her countenance and patted her on the head
I'll be leaving you now as it's getting late, don't be sad you know you can always call me or your aunt whenever anything comes up". Kasela's face brightened up at her uncle's words and she gave him a little smile.
She walked him to the door and bade him goodbye as he left. She locked the door and flopped on the bed, she picked up the pamphlet the hostel mistress gave to her and looked at it. The school location was on it, including the classes, the hall, cafe, library and so on. She also noticed a certain building located a little faraway from the right hand side of the school and she wondered who owned it or was it also a special building which belonged to the school. She changed into simple clothes and arranged her clothes inside the wardrobe. She kept some of her text books on the reading table beside her wardrobe. After making sure everything was being put in place properly, she lied on the bed to rest and fell into a deep sleep. She dreamt of her late grandmother and her aunty. She woke up few hours later with a start and realized that she was in a new school. She took out her phone and checked the time, it was already past six in the evening which means she slept for four good hours. Her stomach suddenly growled and she felt hungry, suddenly there was a knock on the door which startled her and her breath hitched wondering who it was.
