Chapter 8 - CHAPTER 8: A Little Advice From Aunt

"Soon you will be having a younger sibling kasela and I want you to do well at school, you see that place you are going to is filled with both good and bad people, but I will have preferred if you don't have a friend at all" . She paused to look at kasela who listened to her with rapt attention.

Holding her hands, she smiled at her warmly "kasela, you are young and beautiful and soon men will start coming your way, I will wish that you will be more careful". Aunt Geraldine smiled as kasela's cheeks turned pink.

"There's nothing to feel shy about afterall you will soon come of age next year, but at this stage I don't want you wanting to do anything with a man, do you understand?", She asked

"yes aunt and I promise not to let you down" kasela answered.

"Now get dressed and come downstairs for breakfast" her aunt told her as she left the room.

Kasela chooses a new pairs of loose jeans with sweat shirts and a pair of sneakers to wear as she contemplated tieing her hair into a bun or letting it loose. Finally deciding on letting down her hair loose, she descended downstairs where her aunt ushered her to the breakfast table. Her aunt's husband came in dressed in a black suit.

"Good morning uncle" kasela greeted

" kasela dear, good morning too". Her aunt's husband answered "I hope you are ready for your new school ", he asked,

"yes uncle, though I'm nervous". Kasela answered as her mind wandered back to the nightmare she had.

"Yeah you have every reason to be nervous afterall you are going to an unfamiliar environment filled with strange and unfamiliar people" her uncle answered back.

"Hey everyone, stop talking already and focus on your good else you would be late", Aunt Geraldine said.

After eating, her uncle packed her bags and belongings into the boot of the car parked outside. Kasela hugged her aunt,

"my dear, go well and be a good girl" her aunt said as she patted her back and stepped aside as her husband called kasela.

"I'll be missing you aunt" kasela said softly.

"Don't worry dear, you can come visiting during the holidays" her aunt answered.

"Now go on", her aunt said as she gave her a peck on her cheek.

Smiling warmly, the young girl turned and got into the car, fastening the seatbelt her eyes never left her aunt's figure until the car drove away from the building.
