The world stage had been set, and the battle between the strongest Human Hero and the demon king would be resolved once and for all.
The Humans cheered the Hero, and the demons did the same for the demon king. It was a tie of fields.
Roughly two million human soldiers were backing the Hero's support magic. At the same time, less than a quarter of a million demons were backing the Demon king, who seemed worried.
"Aaron Nova! Stop this madness! Stop your genocide, and we can still come to peace! Please!" Said the Demon king as he prepared for battle. His plead would fall on deaf ears as Aaron only sought glory!
"I will destroy you, old man! It's time for your downfall!" The Hero is the one who opened fire first! He took his shot at the demon king, who did not want war.
The demon king, a well-dressed man wearing shiny samurai armor from the Edo period, stood firm as the human began his attacks. He peculiarly gripped his sword and started its attack on the Hero named Aaron Nova. If he wouldn't listen, then he would have to kill them.
The power difference between humans and demons is significant, but the number difference is on the human side. The demons could be twice as strong as humans, but could they overcome a tenfold difference?! The answer soon became no.
As strong and agile as the Demon King might be, his stamina ran low faster than his opponent's bar, a young, healthy warrior in his late twenties. The Demon King knew it was only a matter of time before he would be killed, so in a desperate attempt to save his people, he ordered an ultimate sealing spell against the Hero.
"What's wrong, old man?! Feeling tired?! I can do this all day!"
"You're making a mistake, young blood! Those humans you call friends will betray you, don't you see it?! They're only using you to get rid of me!" Said the Demon King after his sealing attempt failed, thanks to the human's support magic.
"You're not going to trick me, Demon! I know your kind! You guys lie to your teeth!"
The Demon pleaded one last time before the Hero's sword impaled his body, eventually killing him by bleeding out. Aaron Nova had become the strongest human on earth, the top dog among men. He had beaten the Demon King!
Yet when he finished the Demon, he didn't feel right; he felt empty like he had worked for nothing. Still, the soldiers congratulated him and celebrated his victory by chasing the enemy demons. The massacre that ensued afterward was on another scale.
If there was ever a major genocide to be recorded in the history books, this massacre would be in the top three of all time. The number of people that died that day was uncountable; rumors still say no demon from the enemy army survived, and neither did their entire nation.
The Humans had committed an irredeemable war crime against another race, but were they in the wrong? The humans hardly believed so; the demons were the evil bad guys. After all, why feel sympathy for the evil and wicked?
Countless bodies were left in the ground while the soldiers prepared mass graves ready to dump hundreds of thousands into them. There was no moral bound to be followed. It was all pure evil incarnate from the elite class who viewed the demons as "inconvenient."
The elite despised the demons, as they were the first free society of the world, and they wouldn't want the peasants to govern themselves, would they? No, the people didn't have a right to govern themselves. They only existed to worship the Gods and pay their taxes.
With the death of the Demon King came another disastrous wave. As humans felt the taste of power, they went ahead and conquered every other race. With the help of Aaron Nova, the human race was at the peak of its power. Not even the Gods could stop him, as he had the support of all humans. He became more in power than any God.
The elites wouldn't want that either, so they acted in the shadows to frame the Hero so the people would stop worshiping him and thus reduce his power enough for him to be easily killed off by a God. They had used him, and now that he had no use, they got rid of him.
Yet, the reincarnation deity thought giving them another chance at life would be funny; thus, our story begins in an orphanage on the outskirts of a town. A town that would soon be enveloped in an upcoming civil war, a sure death was to wait for the boy.
