A distant burning fire began to approach the Silvet army in the reserves in case they were needed or a warrior showed up. They were the dream crushers of the mission, a devastating blow to anyone who thought the only troops sent were the calvary ones.
"Jones! Use that artifact and tell us what you see!" Said the General of the current small army.
One man quickly pulled their telescope from their pocket and pointed it at the walking fire. The scout's face turned pale as he saw a kid calmly walking while burning with his clothes and sword stained with blood. He couldn't believe his eyes, but it was the truth.
The soldier knew he had to control his fear to convey a clear message to his general, demanding an answer. Jones cleared his throat and answered his superior's question as clearly as he could muster.
"It's a burning kid, sir! He holds an ally blade, and he's drenched in comrade blood, sir!" The General couldn't believe what his scout was saying, so he took the tool from his hands and looked for himself.
Yet, his eyes met exactly what his scout had described; now he knew why a God had given them angels as backups. So the General wasted no time and immediately ordered the mages to prepare the Angel rituals as Aaron slowly made his way through arrow fire.
The arrow shower being constantly sent upon the burning kid would be enough to obliterate anyone, but it was doing nothing to the boy as a red air shield protected him from every arrow that tried to land a blow on him.
"Corrupted series, I Aaron Nova! Command the Earth! Command the heavens! Hear my words and heed them! Return to sender!" Screamed the boy as the Earth shook once more. The roar of a dragon then followed the order.
Suddenly, the archers stopped shooting as they watched in horror how the arrow showers they had sent began to levitate and point toward them.
"Sir! Sir! Order the mages to create an air shield now! He's He's sending our arrows back at us!" Screamed the archer leader as he retreated.
"We cannot! The mages are busy with their Angel control rituals! Every man for themselves! Create your own shields!"
The infantry simply pointed their shields up in a turtle position as they began to chant a collective ritual spell to protect themselves. The archers did the same with their magical capes. As far as the Mages went, they were far back enough to be safe.
Soon, a massive wave of burning arrows began to land on the enemy line; the consequences of the attack were devastating for their numbers as the arrows broke through most defenses with ease. Covering the land with even more ally blood spilled by the same enemy.
Most shields were pierced by the magically charged arrows, burning the men alive if they were unlucky to be touched by the flames. Panic ensued in the ally lines as the General tried to regain control over his men.
"Soldiers! Regain your discipline! This is a holy war! We are here to kill the devil! God is with us! We have some of the most powerful weapons men can use on our side!"
Every man left on the battlefield felt reassured as the mages began to glow bright blue. The spell was about to be ready; they were close to victory, so there was nothing to fear. Soon, the line formation was in place once again.
Aaron was now in their footsteps, and his blood lust was apparent to everyone involved. The air shifted ambients as the spilled blood rushed towards a magical floating rune in the boy's hand. He was absorbing it inside the spell!
"What the?! Is he a Vampire?!" The General couldn't believe it but it was probably something else, a vampire would drink the blood, not absorb it into a spell, was he planning to attack them again!?
"Defensive positions again! He's going to attack!" The General was quick enough to read the boy, but even so, it was still a little too late. Most men would be caught off guard!
"I, Aaron Nova, Command the Earth! Command the heavens! May a dragon be born from this payment! Use this blood payment to destroy my enemy's Great Dragon! Blood Sacrifice!"
A global sound came from Aaron, who used the strongest magic level known to man. He was commanding level-ten magic! Impossible! The General recognized who he was dealing with after hearing the name "Aaron Nova."
While it was confirmed that almost nobody remembered him, there was a very well-known folk legend among the Silvet people about a legendary hero who was the real person who fought off the demons. The General had always ruled the myth to be nothing but a fabricated story invented by some crazy people, but now he knew they had been right all along.
The General knew he had no choice but to fight, but his spirit was crushed by the realization that this might be a legend. The Earth soon confirmed his fears as it shook violently. A blood dragon soon appeared from beneath his remaining walking army!
The Chinese blood dragon began to devour his men afterward. Wiping his men clean off the face of the Earth like they were cattle, it was an actual blood bath. All while the kid laughed at it like a maniac. Was he having fun?! Killing hundreds of people was fun?! He was the devil's spawn, for sure!
"What a beautiful symphony! Scream a little louder, and give me more of your XP! I never knew humans were so easy to level up from!"
Another level-up sound could be heard coming from the boy as he gleaned bright green as more people died from his attack. He was ruthlessly using them to level himself up! How disrespectful!
[Congratulations! Character Aaron Nova has increased from level forty to level forty-five, level forty-six, seven-eight, and level fifty.]
The dragon was ripping men to shreds as they tried to fight it off, but it was all in vain. Nothing seemed to be able to stop the raging dragon; their hopes were all left on the mages, so the General ordered them to use them now! The spell should have been ready!
"We are the source of all power! Bless our protectors and allow us to use them for our safety! Ritual magic of the highest class! Angel Control!"
The mages cast the final rune into the sky as the artifacts containing the angels broke, letting them free! Surah watched as everything unfolded. The God of War was becoming impatient as he saw the chaos he had created.
The mages were successful with their ritual magic and were now sending their four angels against the raging blood dragon. Yet, the dragon did not stop even when he had four high-class angels slashing at it. Fear ran through every single man witnessing the events! Even the god of war felt fear in his heart.
Aaron was powering the dragon up with the new blood the dragon had spilled, so it grew even larger! The shining Angels, who looked like weird anime Mecha's from the eighties, tried their best to stop the dragon but were always tossed around by it.
One of the Angels even tried to go face-first against the dragon's head, and it did stop it for a few seconds. The Other three noticed the opening and began their collective retention of the dragon, but this one opened its mouth while the Angel held onto it.
The white Mecha was then swallowed whole by the raging dragon, and the mages who controlled the Angel died by crushing as they were connected to the Angel. The General couldn't believe his own eyes as his strongest Ace card was being obliterated, too!
Still, to the boy, it meant nothing more than free experience as he laughed with every death he collected; it was awesome! He had forgotten what leveling up felt like! Watching your enemies die and give you EXP was the most pleasant feeling of all time.
The rest of the mages were quickly running out of stamina, too, as the spell that powered the Angels consumed massive amounts of energy. The General knew he had to land a decisive blow before all his mages ran out of stamina, so he joined the group, commanding the strongest Angel to lend them his magical power.
"We are the source of all power! Hear our words and heed them! Destroy our unholy enemy and purify the Earth from their evil presence! Holy Sword!"
The Tallest Angel, who stood at a respectable 20 feet tall, got himself a holy sword. A spell that would give it such power consumed much of their stamina, so they could only keep powering the Angel for a few more seconds before they dried out. Luckily for them, the sword was damaging the dragon effectively.
