Synopsis
Raven Hale, who was about to be " queen" makes a daring choice: she flees. But her escape coincides with the sudden emergence of dungeons across the globe—dark portals unleashing monsters and plunging the world into chaos. These dungeons become her refuge, concealing her from her relentless father. Five years pass, and Raven remains a fugitive, evading her father's pursuit. Yet, his proximity grows, and her flight becomes increasingly desperate. Just when hope wanes, the Transmigration Center appears—an enigmatic organization offering an escape from reality. For Raven, this is the perfect vanishing act. She knows her father will eventually track her down, but she plans to leave behind only an empty vessel. She applies for countless fictional worlds, hoping to slip away unnoticed. Yet, fate plays a cruel trick: an "error" redirects her into the last place she ever wanted to be—a tragic fantasy romance novel titled "The Flower of War." In this world, she assumes the role of Verian Innocente, the novel's ill-fated female lead. Verian's destiny is grim: she dies halfway through a war, leaving behind heartache and unanswered questions. Raven grapples with her new identity, wondering why anyone would kill off a protagonist midway through a tale. Now, Raven faces a pivotal choice: embrace Verian's tragic path as the daughter of Count Innocente in the Alcazar Empire, or defy fate and reclaim her true lineage—the daughter of Alexander Hale, the clandestine ruler of the modern world. As the threads of two lives entwine, Raven must navigate love, loss, and secrets that span realms. The dungeons may have hidden her body, but her soul remains caught in a web of destiny, torn between two worlds

Chapter 1 - I chose to transmigrate

IN THIS world you can either live your life or live someone else's life.

On the day of Raven Hale's coronation, a cataclysmic event shook the world. Dungeons emerged from the depths of the earth, spewing out monstrous creatures that terrified humans. That was five years ago, and the world has never been the same since.

Back then, most people hoped that hunters would awaken and have the ability to fight them since that's what usually happened in novels.

But even 5 years after the dungeons had appeared, there were still no 'hunters' to be seen who could fight against the monsters.

People's fears only grew as time kept passing, and no hunters or solution to the dungeons appeared. No one wanted to live in a world like this anymore.

That's when the transmigration center appeared.

The transmigration center gave people the opportunity to leave their world behind and become someone else entirely, somewhere where they don't have to live in fear of the monsters, at no cost to them. All they had to do was apply.

but Raven couldn't care less about the monsters, in fact, she was grateful for the monsters. if it wasn't for them she would never have been able to escape from her coronation. it's thanks to the dungeons that she was able to hide from her father's men for 5 years.

Because despite being the head of the world's greatest information network her father could not know any more about the dungeons that suddenly appeared from nowhere than anyone else.

she knew her father would catch on eventually but it was the best hiding place she could find. That is, until the transmigration center appeared offering a better alternative.

"Hello there, what book are you here to apply for?" the transmigration clerk asked smiling politely

"All of them," Raven replied with a monotonous voice while smiling politely

The clerk was stunned by her answer, his eyes widened and his polite smile fell. 'all of them' was around 2000 books

"A-all of them?" the clerk asked trying to regain the polite smile he had on his face earlier to no avail.

"Yes. Is there a problem? The applications are all free anyway," she replied looking at the clerk with confusion

The clerk understood why she may have wanted to apply for all of them. After all, the chances of being accepted for transmigration were low. Applying for multiple books would higher her chances of being accepted for one. But who would be crazy enough to apply for all of them?

That would mean applying for books of the horror and tragedy genres as well. How desperate must she be to leave this world behind?

Even though most people wanted to leave this world behind because of the monsters. It wasn't to the point that they would be willing to go to a world with even worse monsters.

The monsters in this world were bad, but nowhere nearly as deadly as the monsters you could find in action or fantasy novels.

"Um, okay. Well, which characters would you like to apply for?" The clerk asked, smiling awkwardly hoping she wasn't crazy enough to say 'all of them. '

Thankfully, she wasn't.

unbeknownst to the clerk, all the books the transmigration committee put up for transmigration were books she had already read, so she wasn't just applying for all of them thoughtlessly.

'Thankfully, all of the books had characters that were unaffected by the plot. I can just apply for those.' Raven thought

"I can tell you, but I think it would be better if you handed me that paper so I could write each of them down myself. This is going to take a while." Raven smiled politely and reached one hand out to the clerk

"Ah, okay. I understand. " the clerk handed her the paper "Write down your choices on this list from the least preferred choice at the top and most preferred choice at the bottom." The clerk smiled awkwardly still trying to recover from the words 'all of them'

"Understood." She smiled as she reached for the pen in her pocket and started writing down her choices in a 'book-character name' format.

A few hours later she finally finished writing and left the transmigration center, it was late in the evening almost night when she left even though she went to the transmigration center early in the morning.

'Finally, I'm done writing. Now, all I have to do is wait. Since I applied for so many characters the chances of being accepted for one of them are high and hopefully fast. ' Raven was scared that her father may find her soon despite the amount of preventative methods she took.

She was walking home wondering about what her transmigration would be like since very little was known about the transmigration committee that just materialized out of nowhere and how they operated when she looked up at the night sky

'Dragons, huh? If this was a novel dragons would be considered S-tier monsters. But these dragons would probably be considered F-tier at best. Yet everyone's always raving on about them. Perhaps, that's to be expected from a world without hunters. ' she paused for a second to watch the dragons who were flying north as if they were birds migrating.

she smiled as she looked at the dragons, she wanted to migrate too. She wanted to be anywhere other than here. despite being trained her whole life to take her father's place, she wanted nothing to do with him.

her father's men are looking for her and surely they will find her soon. but not before her body is vacant, by then it will be too late.

'These dragons can't even breathe fire. And they are only 10 feet each, nothing like the 60-foot ones in novels. They also travel in packs and lack intelligence. They don't even attack unless you attack them first, so what's the big deal with them anyway?' she scoffed and continued walking

It was a very peaceful night as she walked home, all the shops were closed, the streets were empty, and nobody was screaming. She could just walk down the middle of the road under the moonlight and watch the dragons fly overhead.

none of the monsters ever attacked the humans first. not the elves, not the dwarves, not the dragons, not the ogres. not a single monster. It was always the humans who attacked them first out of fear only to lose miserably to them. but she was the only one who knew that, and she only knew that because she took a chance and lived among them in the dungeons.

'Perhaps these monsters were never meant to be a threat, and that's why there are no hunters. ' she pondered

She arrived home to a dungeon she was staying in nearby, brushed her teeth, changed into her nightgown, went to a floof monster she used as a bed, and fell asleep listening to the peaceful whistling noises of the dragons.

Not knowing, this would be her last day in this world.
