Chapter 8 - Chapter Seven: Guess I'm Omnipotent Or Maybe Not

It has been two years since I turned into a girl. In all that time, I have been staying in the monster forest and training all my new powers in order to master them and to know my limits.

It had been a long and hard two years. The training was tough, and I wanted to give up many times, but I persevered through it all.

Who am I kidding!? There is nothing hard about it at all.

Like I entered this forest back then with caution. I told myself that I may be strong now, but there must be something stronger than me in the forest.

What a load of crap that was.

No monster was a threat to me at all. I even saw the so-called legendary Lightning Eagle that is said to be in A-Rank.

Like all the other monsters in that forest, it went down after a few spells. I thought with a name like a legendary eagle, it would put up a fight, but nope, that creature died after I cast my ice spell on it.

It was powerful I give it that, and its lightning would have destroyed the country if it had hit the ground, but it didn't matter to me since I was stronger than it.

I even lowered the amount of mana I put into that spell just to see if it would withstand it, but the lightning eagle was frozen along with half of the monster forest. For some reason, my ice spell doesn't melt or break no matter what the opponent tries.

How did I get this strong?

That question has been a mystery to me even now. I gave up trying to understand the source and origin of that lake and just went with the flow of things.

Well, I said all that, but I have pretty much mastered my new powers. And I have memorized all the requirements of being an adventurer.

To explain more on my powers, it is divided into two. The physical part and the magical part.

Let's talk about the physical part with a demonstration with this Swordwolf in front of me.

"Aaaaahhhhh."

The Swordwolf, whose body is literally covered in sharp blades, screamed as it lunged at me. I was completely calm as I allowed it to bite my arm.

"To start with, I am able to withstand everything I've encountered. I dare say my defense is infinite, but I won't be so sure since I've not traveled the world yet. Who knows, maybe something out there might be able to hurt me. With my defense being this way, this wolf's teeths are pretty much useless on me."

The Swordwolf continued to bite me, but I simply shook my hand, and it was sent flying through several rocks and trees before it died.

"I forgot to mention that my strength is off the charts as well."

It's true. I once came up to a mountain and lightly punched it. The result, well let's just say that the monster forest is losing one of its mountains at the moment.

I don't know the limit of my strength, but I do know that a light tap from me is enough to turn an average monster like the raging boar into minced meat.

I may call it average, but the Adventurers guide book said that it required a D-rank adventurer to take it down. The Swordwolf I killed just now is a C-Rank monster as well.

My speed is also beyond the norm. I have never seen anything move faster than the Lightning Eagle. I don't know about those legendary S-rank beings that are only said to be seen in myths, but those who have broken through to the A-rank level are just as fast as the Lightning Eagle. That Eagle, as its name suggests, can literally fly at the speed of lightning.

Yet when I faced it, its movement was so slow that I even suspected that time slowed down, but it was all my own speed and perception. I confirmed that even without trying, I can move faster than the Lightning Eagle. I wanted to run at my max speed, but I get the feeling that this world would be destroyed if I do that. I don't have a basis for this, but my gut was telling me that.

Anyway, my other physical specs were also absurd. Like I can see pretty much everything, including ghosts. I can tell because I am always able to see ghost monsters inside this forest at night even when it was supposed to be invisible.

My nose is also good, and my hearing is the same too. I can smell things no matter the distance, and I can hear pretty much everything on the continent. I could hear everything in the whole world if I tried hard enough, but I don't want that. I placed a magic barrier around me which limits all my senses from going overboard.

And my brain capacity is also off the charts. I can memories anything I see or read once and my thinking capacity is way faster than normal. Advanced magician uses spells like thought acceleration to accelerate their thinking capacity, while my brain is doing it passively.

Now I know I am no longer a human. It should be obvious because no human being can do what I can. I still have human appearance but I am definitely not human. Due to this, I decided to call myself a High Human, which in my understanding should be the final evolution of the human race. I don't know if High Human actually exist since I just made up the name to sound cool.

Now to my Magical powers. There is nothing much to say here other than my mana is infinite. To explain it well with an analogy that will be simple to understand. If someone who has broken through to A-rank level has the mana capacity of a large lake, and those legendary S-rank beings has the mana capacity of a vast ocean, then my mana capacity is basically as large as the entire world.

This may look like an exaggeration, but it is not. My mana pool is so vast that I feel like it can fill up this world a trillion times over if I release all of it. To add a more shocking revelation, my mana recovery speed is as fast as me. I still don't know what my full speed is, but my mana recovery is just that fast.

Get it yet? I have a mana pool that can fill up the entire world if I release all of it and my mana recovery speed is just as fast as me. Add those two together is why I said my mana is infinite because it will never run out. This basically allows me to use all spells I can imagine without worrying about mana.

So to summarize, I have an indestructible body with my physical specs being off the charts, and my mana is infinite allowing me to use magic at my leisure. In short, I am Omnipotent.

That is a stretch because there are many things I can't do, and I'm not all-knowing. I am definitely not Omnipotent, but I'm confident I can fight anyone in the world.

"Well, since I have mastered my powers, I guess it is time to head out to the nearest city to join the adventurer's guild."

I stood up and began to leave the forest. I left the forest and began my journey on the road.

I walked for some hours, enjoying the freedom of everything with my eyes closed, but I was disturbed by the sound of people in the distance. The sound was ranging from laughter to screams of help.

Not knowing what was happening, I ran to the place I heard the voice come from. It took me a blink of an eye to arrive at my destination, and I saw a little girl with fox features who looked about 12 years of age lying on the ground helplessly, and she was surrounded by human bandits. One of the bandits was holding a wooden stick in his hand and was hitting the little girl with it.

This scene brought back memories I wanted to forget, but things were different unlike back then when I was weak. Now, I am strong and I am confident I can take on these guys with ease.

I began to confidently approach the bandits' group with a little bit of my mana leaking out.
