Overwhelmed by strange emotions, Feng Xi found herself succumbing to tears the moment she heard Yu Han's voice. Fear gripped her, rendering her speechless.
"Feifei, please, stop crying. Can you tell me where you are?" Yu Han's voice was laced with panic, his words tender as he tried to soothe her.
Without missing a beat, Yu Han gestured to Secretary Tang to halt the elevator. As soon as it came to a stop, they exited, only to step into the next one, heading downwards.
"Yu-Yu... I-I'm at the airport," Feng Xi managed to stammer out between her sobs. Her distress was visible, causing a wave of concern among the office staff who were present.
"Is there anyone with you?" Yu Han inquired, his tone urgent yet gentle.
"Yes," Feng Xi responded, her voice shaky as she tried to suppress her sobs and she sniffled.
