"Lux!" Chloe cried as she rushed to his side.
He was lying motionless on the ground. His body was covered in blood.
"Hey, get up," Chloe begged.
She knelt by his side and tried to wake him up. After a few seconds, he opened his eyes.
"Are you ok?" she asked.
"Y-yeah. Just a little banged up." He coughed up some blood. "Go on, take care of that thing."
"Ok.." She rushed out to help the others, leaving Lux in the alley.
Steam started coming out of Lux's wounds as they closed up, his hair turning white in the process.
"Guess I'll be taking over from here, Lux. Watch how it's done." Hunter said as he jumped towards the scene.
************
A sharp hit sent the monster face first into the streets, sending a shockwave everywhere, moving the cars and sending the officers flying.
Hunter quickly stepped forward and grabbed the monster's head, lifting it off the ground. Then he slammed the monster's head into the ground several times.
After the last slam, the blue monster lay on the ground. Hunter tossed him on the ground.
"Who is that?"
"I don't know; I just hope he is on our side."
"This isn't working, guys," Chloe said. "We need a better plan, or we're all dead."
"How about this?" an officer said. "If the monster is made of metal, then it should react to electricity. Let's try using the power lines to fry it."
The monster got up, staggering around, trying to regain balance.
"Alright," Chloe said. "Let's do that. We use the power lines to electrocute him, and hopefully he'll die."
Several officers ran onto the street to hook up the cables. As soon as they connected the cable, the monster stopped and looked up at them.
"What's going on?"
The monster turned his attention toward the group of people. Several officers moved aside and let the rest of the team through. They came up close to the monster, who was now standing on two legs.
Hunter stood still as the officers tried to use the power lines to electrocute the monster, but to no avail.
The monster grabbed the two officers and smashed them against each other before throwing them away and facing Hunter.
"I didn't think you would still be alive; I guess you can still take a punch." He grinned widely. "Now show me what you've got; entertain me some more!"

*Hours Ago*
"Evelyn, do you wonder what powers my father's first successful experiment had?" Jay asked as he flipped through a file.
"I couldn't possibly have an idea of that, but I would like to know."
"As of now, I only know one, and if used properly, it is very deadly."
"And what is that, sir?" Evelyn was curious to learn what the experiment was.
"That experiment was carried out on an unnamed individual. The assigned power was something shocking."
"Excuse me?" Evelyn said.
Jay smiled and said, "I'm sorry, that was classified information. You may continue your work."

"You sure are a pain in the ass, you know that, right?" The blue creature said.
Hunter chuckled. "Yeah, but I'm all you've got, so don't get picky."
The monster smirked. "Don't get too cocky. You might find yourself getting beaten down soon."
"I'd never lose to someone as weak as you." Hunter said as he lifted his fist for another attack.
"Oh yeah? How about this?" He took Hunter's wrist with both hands and twisted it.
Hunter gave him a disappointed look. "Seriously? Is that the best you got?"
"Hahaha! This one's going to hurt so bad when you finally wake up!" The monster laughed.
"Haha, no, it's not." Hunter twisted his hand back into position as he lifted his body from the ground and made a reverse spin kick.
The monster raised his arms to block the blow. It did nothing, however. Hunter kicked him again in the stomach, sending the creature into a building.
"Ha, hahahah!! That's funny..." He laughed. "You're funny!"
Hunter ran towards the monster and made a quick jab.
The monster blocked it. He pushed Hunter back with a burst of air and punched him in the chest, knocking the wind out of him.
"You can do better than that." Hunter gasped as he struggled to breathe.
He walked over to where Hunter laid on the floor, coughing and wheezing. "Get up already." He said it with a smirk.
Hunter rolled over slowly and picked himself up. "Yeah, yeah. Don't worry, I'll beat you."
"Good luck, Hunter." He said walking away. "I'm glad you're still alive."
Hunter shook his head and smirked. "No, I'm glad you are still alive."
He kicked the monster out of the building again and back into the streets, sending debris flying across the street.
Hunter walked slowly towards the monster as the moonlight shone upon him.
"Who sent you?"
"Why should I tell you that?"
"Why am I even trying to figure things out? That's for Lux to do." He moved his two hands around each other as his body began letting out little sparks, each spark bigger than the other. His skin glowed brighter than usual, and his eyes gave off a glowing blue effect.
The monster looked up at Hunter in fear. "What are you?! What are those?!"
The sparks gathered from his body into his hands, which he then clapped together and held, aiming them at the monster.
"I hear you are made of metal, huh? If that's the case, then this should work."
"What if I'm not made of metal?"
Hunter smirked. "It will still work; after all, you aren't that strong."
The sparks charged up as he prepared to let it out.
"Clear Lightning..." He let out the electricity in his hand as it moved faster than the eyes of the officers watching could see, blowing everything electrical in its path and finally blowing the monster apart on impact.
"Oh, I guess you were kind of made of metal." Hunter said, looking at the pieces of metal scattered around the area. "Well, it looks like we found out who the real monster is."
.A few hours later.
"Sir, the press is asking questions about the monster. They want us to come in and talk to them." Officer Eric said.
"Alright, give me a moment." Chief Earl said he was putting away the files he was reading.
