"Guys, no! Don't do that-!"
I tried to stop my followers from going cannibalistic, but midway while trying to do so, I was interrupted by a tip of a sword that came my way.
My mind quickly went to battle mode, as I was forced to evade the sword and aim to survive further. For this reason, I was too busy to teach my followers against cannibalism.
"Leader, we'll help you out!"
Fortunately, it seems that I was given a chance to fully speak out what I had wanted to say.
Sutow and a few other followers of mine who had been able to bite through the pain in their head, all came rushing towards me to assist me against my assailant; the man who seemed to have a grudge against me as I had been a target of his from the start.
"Guys, don't eat our enemies! You shouldn't copy Hazel! She's not in the right sta-"
'Faaahh!'
Although this time I was able to instruct my followers on what not to do, I felt bitter being interrupted again. The fact that a bell was thrown at my face annoyed me, as that had no way of killing me, meaning that it was thrown solely for the sake of shutting my mouth.
Not only were my words interrupted, but it seemed that those followers of mine who were making their way towards me had not been listening too!
Adrenaline seemed to have taken over them, as they rushed like excited children towards the man who held a sword.
The sight of half an arm flying in the air was witnessed by me. Sutow, who had rushed head first towards the man, suffered the consequences of doing so, but that didn't stop him from continuing. Like a brainless zombie, Sutow, who was given the chance to get much closer to the man after having had his arm cut off, launched his mouth at the arm that was holding the sword.
After being bitten by Sutow, the man started screaming out a bunch of gibberish that I couldn't understand. Based on the expressions that he was making, he seemed to be in pain and felt disgusted from having received such a lowly and beastly kind of attack.
This man continued to scream out words that sounded like cusses, as the rest who were behind Sutow followed Sutow's footsteps. As if the man was some candy, everyone who was with Sutow lunged at him to get a piece of him.
The man fell to the ground, naturally. He was helpless, even with a sword, because he had not expected the kids to come at him with not a single sense of fear and with such an extreme and terrifying form of aggression.
One of the men who had been Idle so far, seeing that his boss was being injured so badly, suddenly rushed to help with a speed that showed no bits of hesitation or delay.
'Fast!' Was all I could think of after a hard gush of wind had passed by me. The man must have made use of some kind of magic power, I was sure of it.
The only thing I saw of him was a slight trail of his, as he rushed in towards his boss to kick away Sutow and the others.
'This got too chaotic too fast!' I screamed out in my mind as I watched how the situation had become a complete mess within a mere minute.
My eyes moved towards the last man who was left without an opponent. It seems that both me and him were watching that 'fast-guy' a second ago, as we had both turned our eyes towards each other at the same time.
Although the situation had turned out chaotic, my side had the slight upper hand. Hazel had a one-on-one fight with an opponent who was soon to die. The supposed enemy leader and his subordinate were dealing with four people at once; the winner was still undecided, and as for me, I still had yet to gauge the level of my opponent.
This opponent of mine, he was the one who had thrown the bell at my face earlier. There was no better opportunity than now for me to get back at him for insulting me with that act of his. He who had no weapon and nobody that could be used as a weapon. 'I won't have to expose my sword yet…'
Prepared to fight for my life, I went into a fighting stance. As someone who had released their anger through sports back on earth, I had a bit of experience in mixed martial arts. I am more confident in fighting hand to hand than I am fighting an opponent with a weapon, even if he might be a beginner and even in the scenario of the both of us having a weapon.
'Left jab.'
I threw a light but quick punch towards the left side of the man's head. The opponent had not expected my speed, or perhaps, he was too unskilled to react to speed. As a result, because of his weak physique, the quick punch of mine almost brought him to the floor.
'Discombobulate.'
Seeing that he could not react to my speed at all, I quickly followed my attack with another one. This time however I didn't throw any punches but used the opportunity of his head being at the height of my chest to launch a knee kick after grabbing a hold of his head.
The man was stunned. He wobbled around like he had too much alcohol to drink. In his stunned state, he tried to find something to hold onto to stabilize himself and his hurting head and face. Like a complete beginner who isn't familiar with fighting at all, he tried to hang onto me…
"I'm sorry," I muttered. Right before he could place his hand on my chest, I slipped away and positioned myself behind him. It didn't take long, not even two seconds later when his senses were knocked out.
