When Melody entered the Yama-Rama, Bulla stood up to meet with her. "Hey," she greeted her with a kind smile. Together they walked over towards the table where the others were already waiting on her arrival. "Sorry, for being late. I had a little trouble finding this place," she apologized.
They just shrugged it off, informing her that it's no big deal. "I know that you have yet to be formally introduced to the gang," Bulla said as she sat down. The only open chair is in between Trunks and Goten. Her heart skipped a beat, limply out of tune. "Clockwise: Trunks, Majuub, Marron, Pan, Valese and Goten. I'll like you guys to meet Melody," Bulla concluded after a polite introduction.
Melody tries hard to suppress the butterflies that are nestling within the pit of her stomach. "I don't recognize her [she pointed a finger in Valese's direction]. Is she related?" "You could say so, she's Goten's date," Majuub said hoping that it would make her decision slightly easier. With Goten out of the running, she could choose fairly: Majuub or Trunks. The guy who sat at her other side, said thinking that Goten could still be a thread, "More like his girlfriend." With that being said he completely destroyed Goten's chance with her.
Goten knows that he like Valese; a lot but there's simply something about the new girl that he just can't wrap his fingers around. Not even Valese could compare to her and that alone ignites a feeling of guilt within him. Valese, however, tried to convince the group that they're not dating but the blonde beauty is too deep in thought. Sitting painfully still, afraid that if she's to move even an inch that her thighs would touch Goten's and an eruption would flare in her belly. A single touch could be the beginning of something unethical. Through Melody's eyes even Majuub is eye candy and not to mention Trunks's attractive level is through the roof.
It's time, Pan thought as she rubbed her hands sneakily together. Any minute now the Saturday-Night Special will begin and Pan simply can't wait any longer. An elderly woman with salt and pepper hair stepped upon the stage and spoke into the mike. "It's seems that we've got a new comer this evening. Ya'll know what that means."
Melody took a sip from her refreshment not knowing that they're referring to her. "Could the new girl, the pretty one with the blonde hair please join me in stage? The jukebox had chosen. Dim the lights and let's KARAOKE…!!!" She pointed a finger to her but Melody was just too deep in thought to catch on. Goten touched her arm slightly, but quickly let go as raw electricity sizzled though them.
"The lady on stage is talking to you," Trunks said when he noticed that Goten had clearly lost his ability to focus. "M-me?" She stuttered lightly. "Me…lo…dy…!" Pan started chanting. Quickly the rest of the crowd joined in. "No, no, no!" She protests too little avail. Majuub took his chance knowing that Trunks isn't really the chance taker when it comes to fair ladies and that Goten won't try anything while Valese is around. He swept her of her feet and carried her towards the stage where the lady is waiting with a broad smile. "Have some fun and let loose," he said as he put her down on her feet.
The old woman edged her closer and the restaurant erupted in a loud applause. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' upbeat karaoke version of 'I love rock and roll' filled the room with its heavy bass. It's her jam. How could she not enjoy herself with this track? She moved her hips to the beat, counting off to the entrance.
"I saw you dancing there by the record machine / I knew you must have been about seventeen / The beat was going strong / Playing my favorite song / And I could tell it wouldn't be long / 'Till he was with me, yeah me / And I could tell it wouldn't be long / 'Till he was with me yeah, me; singing…"
"What the hell is this? There's no fricking way!" Marron said totally shocked. Bulla smiled: "Whoa! You go girl," she screeched. "Come on! I don't believe it," Pan hissed. Bulla and Valese joined the people on the dance floor.
"I love rock and roll / So put another dime in the jukebox baby / I love rock and roll / So come and take your time and dance with me, Ow!"
"I'll be damned! So she is familiar with the word 'fun' after all," Majuub said putting the word fun in quotations. Goten is enjoying the view. The further she went into the song the more comfortable she became with her surroundings. Peeling off layers of clothing to befit the vibe. She's more than just beautiful through Goten's eyes. She's absolutely perfect!
