Chapter 13 - Plan and Recurit I

The sudden impact on his back took aback Vikram, who had been contemplating plans for creating an MP3 player. As he turned around to see what had happened, his eyes lit up in surprise. There, on the ground, was Aria, the girl who had been on his mind more often than he cared to admit.

Concerned, Vikram extended a hand towards Aria. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked in a gentle voice

Aria, on the verge of tears after the collision, heard a familiar voice and looked up. To her surprise, it was Vikram extending a hand to help her. As she gazed at him, she found him looking not only concerned, but incredibly handsome. The memory of her conversation with Priya flashed in her mind, and she couldn't help but blush and look at Vikram in a daze.

Priya, arriving at the scene and seeing Aria's reaction, couldn't contain her excitement. She smirked mischievously, realizing that her loose tongue might have unintentionally set the stage for a captivating encounter.

As Aria continued to stare at Vikram, her mind raced with a mixture of embarrassment and confusion. Vikram, sensing her hesitation, gently helped her to her feet.

"Be careful. Are you hurt?"

Aria, still in a bit of a daze, managed to stammer out a response. "I-I'm fine. Thank you."

Vikram smiled, his charismatic demeanor putting Aria at ease.

"Watch your step next time. I will be leaving for class. Come fast or else the professor will get angry at you."

With that, Vikram continued on his way to the classroom, leaving Aria and Priya behind. Aria, still processing the unexpected encounter, turning back only to look at Priya, who was grinning from ear to ear.

Priya looked at Aria and started teasing, "Well, well! Looks like my gossip radar was right on target."

Aria, blushing, tried to downplay the situation. "Stop it, Priya. It was just an accident."

"An accident that led to a moment straight out of a romantic movie. You two looked like the perfect movie scene!" Priya held her cheek, acting like a girl in love.

Aria rolled her eyes, but deep down, she couldn't deny the fluttering feeling in her heart. The unexpected collision had indeed set the stage for something she hadn't anticipated–a closer encounter with Vikram.

Aria bid farewell to Priya and made her way to the Electrical Engineering classroom. As she entered, the room fell silent, and all eyes turned to her. Unaccustomed to being the center of attention, Aria hurriedly found her seat, trying to escape the gaze of curious classmates.

Seated beside Vikram, she couldn't help but notice him engrossed in writing something. Curiosity getting the better of her, she decided to peek over at his notes.

"Vikram, what are you making?" she inquired, her eyes scanning the plans and diagrams in his notebook.

Vikram, momentarily distracted from his notes, looked at Aria. After a brief pause, he realized she might be interested in his project and could contribute to it.

"Aria, I'm thinking of creating an electronic device that can play MP3 digital audio files. Think of it like a smaller version of a laptop but pocket-sized," he explained.

Intrigued, Aria considered the idea. "Do you think people would buy it? Don't we already have discmans?"

Vikram, aware of the limitations of discmans and the popularity of MP3 players during their launch, responded, "Aria, don't you think discmans are big and bulky? It's not convenient to carry them everywhere. What I want to create is something that can easily fit in your pocket and be taken anywhere."

As Aria contemplated the potential impact of Vikram's innovative MP3 player concept, Vikram took the opportunity to elaborate on his vision.

"Aria, imagine having a device that not only fits seamlessly into your pocket but also revolutionizes the way we carry and listen to music. It's about convenience, portability, and a new level of accessibility. No more bulky discmans with different CDs for every song–all condensed into one sleek device," Vikram passionately explained.

Intrigued by the potential applications, Aria considered the practical aspects of bringing such a device to life. "You have a point, Vikram. The consumer might indeed welcome something like this. But how are we going to make it a product?"

Before their discussion could deepen, the professor entered the classroom, signaling a return to their studies. Unwilling to let the momentum fade, Vikram decided to take action.

"Aria, after class, can we talk more about this? I believe your insights and your skills in designing electrical systems could be valuable in bringing this project to life," Vikram proposed.

Aria, nodding in agreement, felt a sense of excitement about contributing to something innovative.

As the class proceeded and the professor concluded the lecture, Vikram turned to Aria with a determined look.

"Aria, about this project, I want you to be involved in my team. You could help me in designing the hardware components of the MP3 player, including the circuitry, processor, and power management. We'll need Embedded Systems Developers, Software Developers, and UX/UI Designers for now," Vikram explained.

Sensing Vikram's sincerity and wanting to support him in his venture, Aria enthusiastically responded, "Count me in, Vikram. Let's create something amazing together."

Vikram, eager to kick-start the project, inquired, "Do you know anyone in design and software development? I have some ideas about how it would make things easier for us."

Aria, pondering for a moment, suggested, "Vikram, although I don't know someone personally, Priya might have connections. She could help us find the right people for our team."

"That's great. Then I will meet you tomorrow till then you can discuss with Priya," Vikram happily left the classroom.

Aria watch Vikram went out the class and was happy that she could help Vikram in his project.
