Chapter 15 - Unveling Ambition

The adrenaline rush that had fueled his workout was now cooling down, leaving Vikram with a mix of exhaustion and fulfillment. He could walk, but the strain on his muscles exceeded the limit, a testament to his body adjusting to the rigorous exercise after a prolonged period of inactivity.

Vikram walked to his room with much difficulty. When he entered the room, he went to take a shower as he was reeking of sweat. Having a cold shower aided with muscle recovery. After the shower, Vikram, wrapped in a towel, sat down to make a proper plan. Glancing at the mission section in the panel, he reiterated his commitment. "Accept."

Vikram, sitting on the edge of his bed, contemplated the details of the newly accepted mission. The challenge of creating an MP3 player within the given timeframe added an exhilarating dimension to his journey. He envisioned the sleek device, its design capturing the essence of modernity and functionality.

Vikram faced an initial challenge of not having a laptop for his project. To resolve this issue, he sought the assistance of his dorm mate, Aditya. Besides acquiring a laptop, Vikram also considered Aditya as a potential team member because of his background in electrical engineering and computer science. But before going out he wore comfortable clothes, leaving his room.

Knocking on Aditya's door, his friend's curious gaze greeted Vikram. The revelation about Vikram's supposed flirtations had already reached Aditya's ears.

Aditya's teasing grin widened as he welcomed Vikram into the room. "Vikram, my man! Heard you've been creating a buzz among the girls." He emphasized the words, playfully gritting his teeth, "and throwing dog food at us single dogs, so what the story?"

Vikram couldn't help but laugh at the exaggerated version of the rumors circulating around. "Aditya, you know how these things get blown out of proportion? It's not as dramatic as people make it sound." Vikram started to become serious. "But I do have something interesting to discuss. Mind if I come in?" Aditiya let him in seeing him being serious and asked, "So what do you wanna talk about?"

Aditya listened attentively to Vikram's proposal, his curiosity piqued by the potential of the MP3 player project. As Vikram explained the concept, Aditya's mind began to churn with ideas, and the intrigue in his eyes deepened.

"So, you want to create a pocket-sized music player that eliminates the need for CDs, and users can store their entire music collection on it. Hmm... Sounds interesting. This would change everything." Aditya mused.

Vikram nodded, "Exactly! I believe it could revolutionize how people experience music. No more dealing with scratched CDs or bulky players. Everything you need in the palm of your hand."

Aditya considered the technical aspect of the project. "You mentioned a Microcontroller for audio decoding and playback. I'm up for the challenge. I can help you design a custom microcontroller that meets the specific requirements of our MP3 player."

Vikram grinned, "That's fantastic, Aditya! Your skills in electrical engineering and computer science will be crucial and i will give you 5% of dividend of profit. I'm also counting on Aria's connection to Priya for finding a skilled software developer and UI designer. We need a well-rounded team to make this happen."

Aditya, who was taken aback by Vikram's comment about being divided, now fully invested in the project, inquired, "What about the user interface?" Any specific ideas for that?"

Vikram leaned in, sharing his vision for the user interface. "I'm thinking of a simple and intuitive interface. Easy navigation through the music library, customizable playlists. A sleek design with a user-friendly interface is key. That's my thought. What do you think?" Aditiya thought for a while and did not have any idea as to what more could be added.

As the conversation progressed, Vikram hesitated before making his next request. "Aditya, I have one more favor to ask. I don't have a laptop, and I need one for the programming and testing phase. If it's too much to ask, I understand."

Aditya chuckled, "You never fail to surprise me, Vikram. Don't worry about the laptop. I've got you covered. Consider it a contribution to our revolutionary music player."

Vikram's face lit up with gratitude. "Thanks, Aditya. With your skills and support, I believe we can make something truly extraordinary." Vikram yawn feeling tired. He said he will come back tomorrow after class and will take the laptop tomorrow.

Aditya, fueled by the excitement of the upcoming project, dived into the process of brainstorming, note-taking, and diagram creation. The desk became a canvas for his ideas, and the room echoed with the tap-tap of his fingers on the keyboard as he translated thoughts into plans. As Aditya delved into the intricacies of the MP3 player project, he meticulously outlined the technical requirements. Diagrams of the envisioned Microcontroller, circuit layouts, and potential challenges adorned the pages of his notebook.

Hours passed, and Aditya found himself engrossed in the creative process. As he glanced at the clock, Aditya realized that the night had deepened, and the soft glow of his desk lamp cast a warm illumination on the array of notes and diagrams. Satisfied with the progress made, Aditya decided to call it a night. He saved his work, carefully organizing the materials for the next day's discussion.

The next morning, the soft chirping of birds outside his window greeted Vikram. Slowly waking from a restful sleep, he felt rejuvenated and ready to face the challenges of the day. Freshening up quickly, Vikram decided to kick start the day with an early morning workout at the gym.

As Vikram entered the gym, the morning light filtering through the windows cast a warm glow on the equipment. There were fewer people than usual, creating a serene atmosphere. However, a subtle buzz rippled through the air as some students noticed Vikram's presence. Whispers and glances followed him, emphasizing the newfound attention he had garnered.

Undeterred by the curious eyes, Vikram approached the treadmill, ready to take on the day's fitness challenge. With a determined mindset, he accepted the daily mission, and the rhythmic sound of his footsteps echoed in sync with the steady whir of the treadmill.
