"I'm heading to work." Amber said proudly. "Good morning, mother." She flashed a lovely grin to her mother in law who quickly moved back.
"G-good morning too." She said.
Hudson felt she was joking with him. "I get it that you're angry and all, but go to the kitchen right now and cook for me." He said.
"She will poison you, son. Don't let her cook for you!" Sarah yelled out.
"Cook for you? Oh I'm afraid I don't remember how to cook again. Especially after the way you treated me last night. On my freaking birthday! I'm going to work, Hudson." Amber said slowly, then was heading out.
He rushed to meet her. "Amber, look at me. If you walk out of that door, I'm going to divorce you for daring to defy me! Okay?"
Amber chuckled. "Really? Then it must be my lucky day. You see, I happen to have a long list of men asking me out. I think I'll be glad to spend my life with another man beside you." She said, then walked out, leaving Hudson in shock.
Hudson just stared with total surprise. Then he kept quiet and watched her leave.
"Why did you let her go? You should have stopped her! Remind her that you're the husband of the house!" Sara said.
"No need, mom. She's still angry, that's all. I know there's no company that will employ her. She's just lying. Besides, she would never defy me." Hudson said proudly.
"Then where do you think she's going?" asked his mother.
"To meet Bianca, her one and only friend." Replied Hudson.

The company was huge. Its name was very huge in bold design, A&A Event Center.
She made her way into the building and it was even more exquisite on the inside.
"Okay Amber. This is it. No, let's go back outside." she mumbled under her breath and turned back.
"No wait, you can do this!" she said at last, remembering all that Hudson and his family had done to her.
Finally, she met with the receptionist, a brown haired woman with a calm face.
"Hello ma'am, how may I help you?" the lady said.
"Hi," Amber said. She heaved in a deep sigh, trying to accept the fact that she was here already and there was no going back!
"I would like to see Ava." She said.
"Ava? Which Ava?" The lady asked.
"She owns this company. And she asked that I come here." Amber said. She didn't know how else to describe her!
Why did she make such a mistake of coming when she couldn't even be certain of who invited her? What if they don't let her in?
"Miss Hulls? How do you know her?" the receptionist asked. She took one long look at Amber and saw she didn't look like a wealthy person to know her boss.
"She's my friend." Amber said.
"Oh, okay. Well she's not in town presently. Please come back some other time." the lady said and continued with her work.
"Then let me meet Ajax." Amber said.
The lady's eyes widened in surprise. "You mean, Mr. Hulls? Wow. You can't just meet these people. You need an appointment! I'm sorry miss, but please come back another time."
Amber frowned. Three ladies were walking by and pointing at her.
"Can you believe her? I heard she's here to see Mr. Hulls." One said.
"Who is she? Mr. Hulls' girlfriend?" another one said.
"What? No way! She doesn't look rich!" The first lady replied.
Amber ignored them and thought of a way forward.
The lady in the middle was tall and slender, and seemed like the boss of the other two ladies, even though they were all friends. She dressed the most expensive and she wore the most pretty makeup.
Her name was Kira.
"Hey lady," she called out to Amber. The other ladies knew she would cause nothing more than trouble, but they followed her anyway.
Amber turned. "Me?"
"Yes you, cutie doll. Who are you and what do you want with our boss?." She asked.
"No need to be rude, barbie doll." Amber said. She didn't like mean girls like her, something about her already told her she would be mean.
The lady scoffed. "That's it. I'm calling security to chase you out of here."
"This company is so huge, why did a pretty lady like yourself turn into security?" Amber said sarcastically.
"Now shut up already! Security!" Kira called out.
Amber ignored her and faced the receptionist. "Can't you call Ajax already? He knows I'm to be here today." Amber lied. She was praying he even still remembered her face.
And she just didn't know how to reach Ava!
Ajax happened to be at the security room, staring at the footage.
"Are you sure there was no one strange here yesterday?" He was asking the security man.
"Of course sir. I've replayed the footage from last night. No one was here. We will catch that thief soon enough." The man said, making sure to keep his distance from Ajax.
There was always a robbery, someone stealing some of their supplies in the supply room. But every time he operated, the security footage was always switched off, like someone tampered with it.
Ajax didn't trust this security guy. Then, something caught his eyes. He saw a petite lady surrounded by some ladies.
His eyes widened as he saw her again. "Weird lady?? What is she doing here?"
"Who is that, sir?" the security man asked but Ajax walked away instantly.
Ajax remembered his sister threatening to kill him if he didn't employ her friend. He hurried down, and she was still there.
"I will send you out of here you rude brat!" Kira was still shouting at the top of her voice when Ajax said,
"Hey you,"
Everyone turned to meet him. Kira ran forward. "Oh sir, this lady has been mean! Demanding she needs to see you at once, can you believe that?!"
"Who are you?" Ajax frowned at her, moving backward. She got the message and stayed behind, then made her voice loud.
"It's me! Kira. I'm the head–"
"You. I've been expecting you." Ajax ignored and walked over to Amber. Everyone was stunned. He wasn't too close to her, but close enough!
Everyone always maintained at least 10 fts away from him but now, he was barely 3ft away from Amber.
"Thank you." Amber said, grinning proudly.
"Come with me then." Ajax said and turned away, heading back to his office.
