"I had dreams of going big with my baking career..."
In a field of charred grass and trees, there lies a dozen of defeated warriors.
Their bodies scarred and charred, as if a great fiery calamity befell on them.
"I'd never thought of being in this situation..."
In the air, an angel of fire hovers. Her eyes flaming with great pride and evil, and on her face was a wide smirk. Her hair crimson red as a fiery crown hovers over her hot head.
As if a young sun appeared at these fields, preparing to turn everything into ash but at the ground, a single warrior faces her.
Or rather... A single sack of flour stands against her.
"What the hell did I do to ever deserve this!?" The Floursack shouted, her voice, wherever it came from, echoed around.
It was a grand battle between a fiery mage and a strange sack of flour but to figure it out how this creature came to be, let's return to it's original world.
Earth, somewhere around southeast Asia.
In the humble yet developing country of the Philippines, a woman in her 30s just got finished working in a bakery.
Tired, haggard but full of shattered hope, she closes the bakery down and bids farewell to her coworkers.
Her name is Pan Disalo, 32 Years Old and a Baker at a bakery called "Aling Mari's Bread and Pastries"
"Agh... My head hurts." Pan says as she walks home, rubbing her head.
Her stomach rumbles, another hard day of work made her real hungry.
She takes out her wallet, she doesn't have that much money to cover a huge meal.
"Seriously? Not even enough to eat at my favourite calinderia..." Pan sighs.
"Well, I'll have to settle for 2nd best."
A litlle while later, Pan arrives at a beef stew and fried rice stand, or simply called a "Paresan".
Cheap and tasty, she fills her stomach up as best she could with her money.
And now she stands at the end of a street, preparing to hop on a jeep back home.
"Sigh, I'm going to rot up in that place." Pan says as she scours for change in her purse.
"The country's economy is falling, world tension is going crazy. And I can't even achieve my dream to own my own bakery." Pan says through gritted teeth.
But due to her sudden anger, she drops a coin onto the road, rolling forward.
"Son of a- Shit!" She reaches out quickly but forgot to take in that she just lunged into a road.
A loud horn was sound before a creeping light fills her view. She her neck snaps at the light and realised a jeep is going to slam into her.
The stopped as she stares deeply onto that light, Pan is about to die.
"Is this really how I'll die?"
BAM! Screams were heard as Pan's body slammed into a wall, killing her instantly.
And everything went dark for Pan, as she remembers her memories of being a kid to now.
"Ma, Pa... Sorry, looks like I'm dead. Tina... And Pai, don't be like me..." Pan's last thoughts says before nothing.
But as quickly as she died, so did a new light appearing at the distance.
"O mortal, who's heart is pure and just. Answer thy call to action." An angelic voice said.
"Huh? Who's that?" Pan asked as she suddenly appeared in a dark plane, with only a glowing light hovering above.
She looks up, her eyes widened at the sight of this glowing orb.
"Is that you, Jesus? Why do you sound like a woman?" Pan asked.
"Nay, I am not the being you call 'Jesus'..." And suddenly, a figure appears before Pan.
Her skin white as snow, the robes that covered her body was silky and smooth just like her white hair. And her eyes glows with gold as a radiant aura surrounds her.
She was a goddess, proud and true.
"Shit, Christianity was wrong." Pan says.
"O mortal, I mourn for your tragic death but fret not, a new life is gifted to you." The Goddess says.
"Huh? You're going to give me a new life?" Pan asked.
"Yes, a new life in a world nothing like yours. You will be given a new form, name and be blessed with my strength to aid you in your journey..." The Goddess answered.
"Journey?" Pan was a little surprised.
"Yes, in this world, there are beings threatening to destroy creation itself. Deities may not interfere in fear of another war, but with champions like you, evil may be vanquished without the prospect of war." The Goddess explained.
"Lead a band of heroes, and defeat this world's greatest evils. And forever, your name will be remembered!"
"Hold on! I didn't ask for this!" Pan interrupted.
"Eh?" The Goddess was a little shocked.
"Look, Miss, umm..."
"You may call me 'Liwanag', mortal." Liwanag answered.
"Miss Liwanag, ma'am. You're putting a lot of responsibility on me." Pan explained.
"Fret not, mortal! You'll be given power to achieve your goal and-"
"That's not the issue! I don't want to be a part of your stupid mission!" Pan shouted.
"S-Stupid?" Liwanag is visibly shocked.
"I'm a barely earning minimum wage baker who's dreams got shattered by the pressure of society and the crushing weight of reality!" Pan shouted.
"I'm tired of everything and you have the damn audacity to put me in another world with expectations that's literally divine!? Screw that!" Pan kept shouting.
"B-But, I'm giving you a new life-" Liwanag was a little overwhelmed.
"Then give me a life where I actually own and not mandated by your damn secret war against evil! I wanted to be a great baker, not a god damn super hero. So you either do that or just let me die!" Pan shouted with all her anger and stress.
"Alright, I get it! Shut up and quiet down! You're too loud!" Liwanag shouted back and the two calmed down.
"You didn't have to shout at me, you Insolent mortal! I'm a goddess, you know!? And I know you're tired of your life, but you can atleast give me some respect! You big jerk!" Liwanag continued.
"Fine! I'll give you another life as a Baker! I can always find another champion to be the hero, unlike your grateful butt!"
"Fine by me! Don't expect me to pray to you, you brat!" Pan shouted.
"Oh you little- Tch, you've pushed your luck!" Liwanag then aims her hand at her.
"If you want to be a Baker so bad, then I'll turn you into something you'll appreciate!" Liwanag grits her teeth before covering Pan with light.
"Huh? Hey, what are you turning me into!?" Pan tried to move but she was stuck in place.
"O Council of the Stars, Heaven and Sky, I call upon thee to bestow a new life and power upon this poor soul..." Liwanag started to cast a spell
"Hey! What are you doing!?" Pan asked.
"... Forget thy old life and embrace anew. Live and love in celebration of creation. Do thy passion and desire in a new form..."
Pan's body started to transform, her limbs growing short and stubby. Her head fusing onto her body as her organ and blood turned into white powder, covered in a new exterior.
"What's happening to me!?" Pan shouted.
"... Live a new life as a sack of flour, you ungrateful piece of crap!" Liwanag shouted.
"What did you say!?" Pan shouted as she continued to be covered in light.
"Have fun down there!" Liwanag angrily says before looking away, arms crossed as Pan is transported to a new world.
The world of Biringan!
Biringan is a Continent of magic and adventure, but a recent crisis arose when a wave of darkness washed over at the north.
Dark evil creatures stormed the continent, led by an evil being under the alias of "Apolaki".
The Kingdoms of Biringan united to fight this new danger, but even their combine might couldn't stop it's spread.
In one of the Kingdoms, Kalakasan, a small yet thriving kingdom, a part of this darkness ravaged the country side.
But for now, this is where Pan was transported.
In a carriage towards Kalakasan's Villages, Anihan, one of the Floursacks inside it sprang to life
"Argh... My head..." Pan opened her eyes, seeing the roof of the carriage.
She stood up, getting her bearings but she quickly noticed her small stature.
"This place is huge... Wait, no. I'm actually really small." Pan then looks down.
"Huh? Why are my legs just a bunch of stubs. Wait... My body, it's weird!"
Pan soon realized her body has turned into a sack of flour.
"What the hell!? Damn that useless goddess! She turned me into an actual sack of four!" Pan angrily flailed around but she falls on her back, a cloud of flour puffing out of her.
"Argh... This is just great, how am I supposed to be life my so-called 'new life' like this? I'm not even human, or even a race of a human!" Pan thought before standing up again, she looks around and saw a few more floursacks, and a couple of supplies.
"Hm... Seems like I'm in some sort of carriage. I wonder where am I..." Pan walked over to the carriage entrance but it suddenly stopped, making her fall over.
And then she hears screams and the sounds of strange creatures outside. The clashing if blades was heard next.
"Huh? What's that?" Pan then scuttles over to the carriage exit, peaking over.
Pan's eyes widened to see a skirmish of armored men and green creatures.
"A Goblin attack! Get into position!" One of the men says.
"Goblin?" Pan says before hearing pained yells.
"Oh, this is bad. I should stay inside..." Pan slowly went inside but the carriage was nudged, knocking her out of the carriage and onto the dirt road.
"Oof! Seriously? Crap, need to get up quick!" Pan jumps up and looks around.
Most of the armoured men got slain, and the goblins have surrounded the non-combatants.
"This is bad, I should get out of here!" Pan turns around, preparing to scurry away but she hears the squeal of a girl.
"Ah! Stop! Stay away!" The Young Woman shouted in fear.
She was crept upon by two goblins, their mouths watering at their new prey.
Pan quickly turns around and Furrows her little eyes.
"Hell no, you're not killing any young woman in my watch!" Pan was determined.
"But how can I help her!? I'm a sack of flour!"
The Goblins are ready to pounce on the woman, Pan doesn't know what to do.
"Damn it! Don't you touch her!" Pan hurriedly scurries towards her but it was too late as the goblins jumped.
"Nooo!"
The woman shouted, covering her eyes as their goblin hands reached for her.
"Stay away, you filthy sacks of shit!" Pan shouted as she reaches out to them, jumping in the air.
And from one of her stubby limbs, flour formed into an orb. And from it, a stream of flour fired onto the goblins, pushing them back with powerful force.
The Young Woman's eyes widened in shock, as she just saw two goblins were knocked away with a stream of baking flour.
She looked over to see who did it, and in front of her, a brave sack of flour stood.
"What are you..? W-Who are you? You saved me." The Young Woman says in shock and relief.
"I don't know what I just did but I fired literal flour at those two. It's not some cool fire or ice power, but it was enough!" Pan thought before turning to the young woman.
"Yo, my name is Pan Disalo." Pan says before standing proudly, a shimmer in her eyes to show her bravery.
"And I'm a floursack!"
