As the carriage containing supplies were attacked by a goblin band, the militia protecting it has been overwhelmed by the dark clutches if these creatures.
But the strangest little creature arrived and saved one of the passengers.
Pin Disalo, the human turned Floursack from another world, arrives with her powder power to stop two goblins on climbing onto the poor woman.
But can she defeat an entire band?
The Young Woman was fascinated and curious, but soon her attention moves to the goblins.
They've defeated most of the militia and now they're targeting Pan and the young woman.
"There's too many..." The Young Woman says.
"That one is obvious..." Pan says before looking at her adversaries while protecting the young woman.
"This isn't good..! As much as I like that attack, what the hell am I going to do with flour!?" Pan thought.
"Even those two goblins I blasted away with flour are getting back up!"
"Hey lady, you need to get out of here!" Pan shouted.
"But, I can't just leave you here..!" The Young Woman protested.
"Hey, don't worry about me!" Pan glances at her but that gave the goblins a chance to pounce.
"Miss Pan, watch out!"
Pan quickly glanced back, but it was too late to dodged as a blade slashes through her sack body.
Flour spilled onto the floor as Pan writhed in pain, screaming and grunting.
"AH! I'M DEAD! I'M DEAD AGAIN! I DON'T WANT TO SEE THAT STUPID GODDESS AGA- Hey, I'm actually fine." Pan calmed down as she realized that despite her flour spilling onto the ground, she was relatively unhurt.
But there's no time to realize as another goblin jumped towards the young woman.
"Not so fast!" Pan quickly glanced to the goblin and another stream of flour slams onto the goblin.
"So I can't get hurt, and this flour sack body is just keeping me in form." Pan looks at herself before she starts controlling her flour.
"If I break free from this sack, them my true power is..!"
A blast of flour erupted from her, destroying her sack and releasing her terrifying flour power.
The goblins took a step back, fearing this new enemy but for Pan, it was time for vengeance.
"Flour being a superpower really sucks, but there's nothing I can do about it..." Pan thought as her flour body formed into a monstrous mess.
A giant blob or air of flour surrounded the young woman like a protective spirit.
"Hey, you disgusting goblins!" Pan shouted and the goblins listened.
"You lay a hand on this beautiful woman, and I'll make you pay!"
The Goblins were taunted as they charged all at once, firing arrows and spears at Pan. But their weapons were nothing as they either passed through or stuck inside her flour body.
Pan quickly retaliated by slamming more flour onto them. She knocked them onto the ground and onto the trees, but nothing compared to the abundance of flour that she's drowning them with.
And since they're caught in her flour, they're firmly in her grasps.
The young woman was astonished and moved, since she called her beautiful.
"I'll put you into deepest part of Hell, using my flour!" Pan shouted as she sends the goblins high in the air.
And with her flour, she slammed them down straight on the ground. A mix of monster blood and flour exploded.
Pan has acquired her first blood, with the use of flour manipulation!
But quickly as she won, so did her mana as she reverted back into her floursack form, tired and beat.
"Ah... Jeez... I'm getting dizzy... Bleh..." Pan fell on her back, dizzy.
"Ah- Miss Pan!" The Young Woman crawled to the sack of flour.
"Are you okay? M-Miss Flour, can you hear me!?" The Young Woman said.
"Eh...?" Pan slowly looked at the young woman, enamored at her beauty.
"Hehe... Hey, tell me your name..."
"Hm? W-Well, it's Clara..!" Clara says with a bit of nervousness.
"It's Clara Maria, but Pan, are you okay?"
"Ah... Clara Maria..." Pan lays down, as if satisfied.
"I'm happy... That an angel like you bestowed upon such beautiful eyes on me..." Pan says tiredly.
"Eh?" Clara blushed, shocked to hear her say that.
"Well... I hope I can just rest and not see that stupid goddess again..." Pan then lays unconscious, but she suddenly starts snoring.
"Ah... Miss Pan?" Clara poked her cheek, but she sighs, and then she quickly realized that she's alone.
"Ah! I have to go back to Anihan Village! This place isn't safe!" Clara then grabs Pan and hugs her close.
She bids farewell to the fallen militia, paying respect. But she quickly made fun of the slain goblins.
And then she runs back to her village, Anihan. Carrying Pan in her arms, she ensured that this sack of flour is safe from peering eyes and danger.
And speaking of, Anihan Village.
It's one of Kalakasan Kingdom's Main Farming Village, but they're also famous for their delicious bread.
It's said that Anihan was bestowed the blessing of the God of Agriculture, Taniman. And since its far in the countryside, it's only problems are goblins and other low level monsters.
But for now, Anihan Village will be the starting point for our dear ol' Pan Disalo.
Deep in Pan's unconscious consciousness, she arrives in a dark plane completely awake but still asleep.
"Argh... Where am I? Am I dead again?" Pan, still in her floursack, roamed around in her conscious.
"I don't want to see that stupid goddess again..."
"What was that!?" A Voice shouted and Pan jumped.
"Y-You! Liwanag!" Pan turned around, seeing the same goddess who summoned her.
"Yeah, it's me. And looks like you're enjoying your little form, you ungrateful sack of flour." Liwanag snickered.
And then a ball of flour slammed into her cheek.
"Hey! Don't you throw flour at me, mortal!" Liwanag shouted, pointing at Pan.
"It's Pan! You stupid goddess! Now turn me back!" Pan says as she formed more flour balls.
"No! I will not until you apologise, damn it!" Liwanag shouted back.
"Well screw you!"
And the two started throwing stupendous amounts of flour at each other.
Though their childish bout was interrupted by another glowing light. The two looked over to see a tall yet graceful figure.
"Ladies, ladies. Please, stop your bickering. You don't want to accidentally break the mind of your dear champion, Liwanag." The Graceful figure said.
"Hah!? Who are you to tell me anything, Taniman!?" Liwanag points at Taniman, the figure clad in green robes.
With eyes that spoke of nature and skin akin of earth. This was the god of agriculture, whom they call 'Taniman'.
"Huh? Another god? Are you here to curse me too?" Pan looks at Taniman, prepared to throw more flour.
"Oh goodness! We don't want that, we're gods not witches... Anyways, my name is Taniman, the God of Earth, Plants Agriculture." Taniman approaches Pan and Liwanag.
"I've come to see this peculiar event of Liwanag's champion turning into a sack of flour. And by the gods, I can't believe it's true."
"Well yeah, thanks to this useless goddess here, I'm a sack of flour!" Pan shouted.
"Screw you! I'll turn you into something lesser, you jerk!" Liwanag aimed her hand at Pan but Taniman lowers it.
"Enough, let's not make this any worse..." Taniman sighs before looking at Pan.
"In any case, despite your sorry form, you're still the champion of Liwanag, the Goddess of Creation." Taniman explained.
"Even though you're a sack of flour, your powers let you produce and manipulate an almost infinite amount of flour, as long as you have mana for it."
"I would've wanted something else... Can't you turn me into anything else but this?" Pan looks to Taniman, her flour coming back into her sack body.
"Nope, only your goddess can do that. If she's willing to change you back, then she can, but..." Taniman looks at Liwanag, and she just looks away, arms crossed.
"It's not going to be that easy, huh?" Pan sighed.
"But, since you're in my blessed territory, I can give you a small blessing-"
"HEY!" Liwanag shouted.
"Ah! You scared me!" Taniman cowered a little.
"Don't you give her anything! She doesn't deserve anything more than her already pitiful form!" Liwanag angrily says.
"But, it's only fair-" Taniman tried to talk but-
"NO! I SAID NO!" Liwanag shouted once more.
"Agh... Come on, just give me something that can help. Just look at me! Isn't this too much?" Pan says, approaching the two.
"Hmph, you disrespect a god and expect you'll get something good out of it?" Liwanag looks away, arms crossed.
"Still, can you lighten up? She IS your champion, and she should atleast have more than flour power, don't you think?" Taniman looks at Liwanag, smiling softly.
"Hrm... Fine... But she should apologise to me, or she stays that way and I'm never getting into contact with her again! Got it!?" Liwanag looks at Pan, hands on her waists with an assertive position.
"Tch... Fine, I'm sorry for being a big jerk, please give me some powers or turn me back into a human, or something." Pan says a bit haphazardly.
"See? Do you accept her apology?" Taniman asked.
"I do, now do whatever. I've already blessed her a lot." Liwanag looks away, still salty about Pan.
"Wh- Come on... Agh, fine. What's it gonna be, Taniman?" Pan looks to him, waiting for his blessing.
"Well, besides the power Liwanag gave you, I shall lend you the power to control basic elemental magic. In this way, you wouldn't be stuck with flour and could learn the likes of fire and water magic. I can't give you any more than that since you're not my champion, is that okay?" Taniman says nicely.
"Sure, better than nothing..." Pan glared at Liwanag.
"Very well, I'll make this quick since you're about to wake up." Taniman then aims at Pan and a brief of green light sparked around her.
"Whoa... I don't feel different." Pan looks at herself and back at Taniman.
"There, that's all. I bid you farewell, Champion of Creation." Taniman waved goodbye as everything started to light up.
"Huh- Hey! Is Liwanag the Goddess of Creation?" Pan says in a bit of shock, she's about to wake up.
"Why yes, now do you understand my significance?" Liwanag looks at Pan, smirking proudly.
"Yeah! How about you create these nuts inside your m-"
Pan woke up.
"Huh?" Pan was staring at a wooden ceiling, she then sits up and sees she's on a bed.
"Where am I? Ah!" Pan looks at herself, she's still a sack of flour.
"Aw, come on..." Pan sighed but then, Clara entered the room.
"Ah! Miss Pan, you're finally awake, thank the Gods!" She rushed to Pan's bedside, seeing how she is.
"Oh, Clara. Is this your house?"
"Yes, although this is the Maria Household. I live with my father, you see." Clara smiled gently.
"Huh... You're so pretty, you know that."
"Ah! Please, don't tease me." Clara holds her cheeks, blushing while looking away.
"Oh! I remembered, I was baking some bread! Miss Pan, please stay in bed as long as you want. I shall be baking!" Clara nodded with a pumped smile before running out the room.
"Baking? I got to see this!" Pan jumps off the bed and follows Clara.
As she leaves the room, she sees a beautiful wooden home, with a high ceiling as well. It felt like a cozy home in the country side and Pan couldn't help but be at awe.
"Wow, my poor ass couldn't." Pan commented before hearing Clara yelp a little.
Pan quickly moved to where she's at, the kitchen.
"Oi, Clara, you okay?"
Clara was on the floor, covered in flour. She coughed a little before sighing.
"I won't get good at baking if I keep screwing up like this..." Clara says to herself but she then noticed the flour around her body was slowly floating off.
She looks to see that Pan is absorbing the flour.
Pan looked at Clara curiously before looking at her kitchen.
"Hmmm... Making bread, huh?" Pan then jumps onto the counter and looks around.
Clara stands up, curious on what Pan will do. And Pan's baking mind explodes.
"Alright, I know what to do." Pan jumps up and she begins.
She starts kneading the dough, picking up where Clara left off.
Her flour turned into hands, just by thinking and she floats in the as she prepares the bread.
She recognises the oven, something she used in her bakery back in the old world albeit a bit dated. Still, she first prepares for the bread to ferment.
Clara watches her knead and form the bread with awe, taking all the information in.
Hours passed as Pan let the bread ferment and she prepared more and when it was time to bake them, she masterfully produced a golden brown colour on the top and white at the bottom.
"There, that's some basic bread. A bit weird to me since the oven is... That." Pan places the tray of bread on the counter, they glistened and smelled of home.
"A-Amazing, these are far better than I can make... This may be better than what my father makes!" Clara says as she takes a piece of the newly baked bread and onto her mouth.
"Wow! So fluffy and tasty! And these are made with the same ingredients we use everyday!" Clara says as she munched.
"What did I hear about my baking being lesser than someone?" A new voice said.
"F-Father!" Clara jumped and Pan as well, they looked at the front door to see a middle aged man with a greying beard.
"Ah, well. The strange savior has awoken! It's true, this sack of flour does move and speak." The Man approached them before looking at the bread Pan made.
"How interesting..." He takes a bite.
His eyes widened as he reminisced the days when he was young and happy, he sheds a tear and whimpered.
He then holds Pan's little nubby hands, filled with hope.
"Please, marry my daughter." He says.
"I will." Pan didn't waste a second.
"Pardon me! But please be civil, you two!" Clara says with a blush.
A little while later, the three gathered in the living room to discuss about what happened.
"My name is Santiago, Clara's Father. And I'm so relieved that you've saved her from those wretched goblins." Santiago chuckled.
"Though I didn't expect that she'd be saved by a literal sack of flour. That there is a surprised."
"Trust me, I'm still in shock." Pan says.
"Father, let's give her shelter here! Her baking skills are out of this world!" Clara says with glistening eyes.
"Hey, hey. It's just basic baking skills that I know! Haha!" Pan says as she blushed.
"Hmm... The bread is indeed delicious, but I can't just outright sell it. We have to slowly integrate it, maybe we can sell it in small bites." Santiago whispered to Clara, they were scheming.
"H-Hey..." Pan doesn't like the sound of that.
"But don't worry, we won't force you to work for us. You're free to stay here with us, that's the least that I can do for the savior of my dear daughter." Santiago nodded.
"Yes, I'd like to learn more things from you, miss Pan. Your baking is amazing!" Clara says with joy in her voice.
But Pan needs to think about her situation, so she gets off the couch and looks around.
"You got a backyard? I need some fresh air."
"Ofcourse, you can head over there." Santiago pointed at the back.
"Thanks, Tiago." Pan scurries on over to the backyard of the Maria residence.
Clara and Santiago stared at each other for a while, wondering.
"Can she even breathe air?" Clara asked.
"I was curious about that too..!" Santiago answered.
As Pan wondered around the simple yet clean backyard of the Maria Residence, she found herself standing over a pond, seeing her reflection.
"Damn, I can't believe this is my new life now... Just a sack of flour." Pan grabs a rock with her flour, tossing it in the pond.
"Still, it's not so bad. Despite being a little hard to move around in, I feel a little livelier. And the fact I can use magic, something that doesn't exist in earth, means I have infinite possibilities." Pan snickered before looking back at the pond.
She then squints her eyes as she focuses, trying to get a grasp of water magic.
"Come on, come on!" Pan focuses deeply.
Eventually, a handful of water floats from the pond. Her eyes light up at the sight of it.
"Yes! Water magic! Thank you, Mister Taniman!" Pan says happily before she plays around with the orb of water.
"Alright, I've decided. My dreams of owning a bakery isn't over yet." Pan says as she looks at her reflection in the orb of water.
She saw the happier and much healthier version of her past life, in authentic baking clothes.
"I got a second chance, and I'm not gonna waste it!" Pan says before jumping in the air.
"I'll open Pan Disalo's Bakery!"
Pan proclaimed in utter joy and excitement. But although she was excited for her new life as a floursack, the scene she left back in the carriage was a different story.
Meanwhile, back the wrecked carriage. A band of adventurers are investigating what happened in the attack.
"There's so much flour, did they throw everything at these goblins?" An adventurer says.
"We counted the sack of flours that was supposed to be shipped to Anihan, there's only one flour missing." Another adventurer said.
"I wonder what happened... I'm just thankful that most of the staff we're safe, only suffering grave injuries."
As the adventurer talked and investigated, one of them were awfully curious. As he sensed traces of magic within the flour.
"Curious..." He said as he wipes his finger across his rapier, feeling the flour.
"Sir Viktor, we're about to go back and report. Have you found anything?" Another adventurer approached him.
"Well..." Viktor, the knight with a rapier, smirked in interest.
A sinister glare glanced at the adventurer before smiling at the thought of a new monster in their wits. He was excited.
"It seems we're going monster hunting, shall we begin?" Viktor says with a chuckle.
A new life for Pan, but also a new enemy. The adventure of Pan Disalo truly begins
