I stood behind Maya, watching my mother keep asking questions about her. She keeps asking her to choose what theme Maya likes for her upcoming banquet.
I could see smoke coming out of Maya's head. Seeing her expression, I notice this is tiring her out.
This is the reason why I don't want to bring my mother to meet her. It's not like I don't like it, but...Maya is still new to the people around her. She is also easy to get overwhelmed with everything.
"How about this!? It looks pretty!!" Rubia asks excitedly.
"M---Maybe..." she fiddles with her fingers.
"Right!? Oh my gosh!! It is too hard to choose!! Everything looks pretty!!" my mother beams. leans on the couch from behind Maya. "Mom, I think this is enough. You tiring her out."
"Oh...really? I'm sorry, Maya. I didn't mean to--" Before my mother could finish, Maya stopped her.
"N--No! N--Not at a--all. I--It didn't b---bother me a--at all...." she waves her hands.
