Gale extracted some information from the man who now lay lifeless in the center of his living room.
Unfortunately, the obtained information was meager. Gale only discovered that Amon ordered his execution under the false belief that the Southern representative posed a threat.
Truly regrettable.
"Is it so difficult to make deals in this city?" Gale pondered as his hand was covered in blood.
After disposing of the body, Gale returned to his room to enjoy a good night's sleep. An advisor shouldn't flaunt dark circles.

Upon waking early, Gale noticed the delicious aroma of scrambled eggs and bacon. His butler seemed to be back at his house.
"He really has my key," Gale reflected as he rose from bed and glanced at the mirror.
Quickly, he took a shower, greeted the butler, and enjoyed a beautiful meal before heading to the palace.
Upon arriving at the palace, he encountered Tenzin, who greeted him appropriately.
"Tenzin," Gale said as he waved to the man.
Entering the meeting room, Gale's show began.
"Good afternoon, everyone," Gale started, aiming to establish a collaborative atmosphere. "Today, I would like to address a crucial matter for our city: the economy."
Tenzin seemed somewhat skeptical, while Tarrlok appeared intrigued. The representatives of the Earth and Fire Nations waited with interest.
"I understand that we are not currently facing immediate economic challenges," Gale stated seriously. "However, I propose that we consider a military-focused approach. I believe investing in our military strength can serve as a sustainable boost to our economy."
Tarrlok nodded, expressing interest. "An economy strengthened by military power can ensure our security and attract investments."
Tenzin, however, voiced his concern: "We must prioritize peace and balance. Investing in militarization can lead to unnecessary conflicts."
Gale argued his position: "I understand your concerns, Tenzin, but the reality is that security is fundamental for economic stability. A robust military force can deter external threats and promote a safe environment for trade and development."
The representatives of the Earth and Fire Nations shared their perspectives. The Earth representative expressed caution, while the Fire representative saw potential in Gale's proposals.
The counselors began to debate, some supporting the idea of strengthening the economy through military power, while others questioned the risks and ethical implications.
Engaged in the conversation, Tarrlok stated, "I believe a balanced approach can be effective. Investing in defense doesn't necessarily mean promoting conflicts but rather securing our position and ensuring long-term prosperity."
A smile formed on Gale's face as he noticed his topic being debated with such intensity. He wasn't sure if an economy centered on military aspects would be approved by the council at this moment, but he appreciated the vigor with which the discussion unfolded.
Not yet, but ahead, with Gale at the helm, the Republic will be a great power, both in military and economic terms, as he envisions.
After concluding another productive meeting, he left the room satisfied. Now, it was time to meet again the person who had sent the gift the night before.
As he walked through the streets, Gale was approached by several people, quickly resulting in the formation of a crowd around him.
"Everyone, calm down. I'll talk to all of you," Gale said.
Suddenly, someone approached Gale from behind.
"Amon wants to see you, at the warehouse in the east," the man said, quickly disappearing into the crowd.
Gale discreetly nodded, turning his attention back to the public. He distributed autographs and conversed with the population.
After what felt like eternal minutes, he finally managed to escape the crowd, which had thinned out a bit.
Arriving at the east warehouse, Gale observed a simple structure made of bricks and metal. The wide wooden doors showed signs of wear, suggesting years of use. Dusty windows allowed soft light to penetrate, highlighting a basic and functional environment. Stacks of boxes and barrels filled the space, indicating a typical storage area. Although he didn't notice anything unusual at first glance, the place seemed to be just another common trading spot in the city.
Reaching the center of the warehouse, Gale didn't identify anything particularly noteworthy. Additionally, he wasn't apprehensive about the possibility of a surprise attack.
Suddenly, a voice emerged from the darkness, accompanied by a person emerging from its shadows.
"Southern representative, Gale. Who would have thought you'd be such a significant figure?" Amon said, revealing himself now bathed in light.
Gale maintained his unchanged expression, showing no sign of displeasure that Amon had sent someone to eliminate him. He saw no need to cultivate hatred between both parties.
"Now that you know who I am, would you like to make a deal?" Gale inquired.
Upon realizing the man's serenity, Amon couldn't help but furrow his brow. He had sent someone to eliminate him, and Gale really didn't show any anger?
"You are a waterbender. Why do you want to see the end of your own kind?" Amon questioned, keeping a certain distance from Gale and ready to use his bloodbending if necessary.
Listening to Amon's question, Gale subtly nodded. He knew this question would eventually come up.
"I have a different philosophy from the rest of the others, Amon," Gale said as he approached the man. "Let me tell you about Raava and Vaatu."
