Rhys remained silent. It seemed as if he had gone numb, and wasn't listening to anything. No matter what Kaz said, he didn't give any reaction.
Kaz frowned slightly and put away his teasing expression. "Rhys, are you okay?"
Yet, Rhys remained silent.
Kaz's brows furrowed deeper. Something was wrong, extremely wrong. He placed his hand on Rhys's shoulder and shook him hard. "Rhys, are you listening to me?" he asked, his eyes flashing with worry.
Suddenly, Rhys's head shot up. His dark green eyes zoned on Irene's face and a dark murderous glint flashed through them. Before anyone could react, the room was plunged into darkness, and in an instant, Rhys was standing before Irene, his hand gripping her throat tightly.
"You have to die," he hissed. "Only Slyvia can be my mate!"
