It was enraging to witness it but I had used up a lot of mana already and taking them all on without a plan would put me at a disadvantage and make things difficult. I went down and looked for somewhere I could sit as I rested and recovered my mana. I filled my core and relaxed. I was able to view the setting sun, and as I watched the sunset I felt my stomach rumble, hunger hit me, throughout the day as I took down the beasts I felt nothing but now I realised that I hadn't had anything all day.
'I should get something to eat before I start tracking those monsters that took away my catch.
Once the sun had set I took to the sky looking for a beast I could kill when I came upon an unsuspecting boar, it looked to be in the lower levels of magic beasts, I fired a giant metal needle through its head killing it in one go.
I went over to it and began tearing it apart to get the meat that I had for dinner.
In the same spot after burying it into the ground I began roasting its meat.
I was seated calmly eating when I started feeling presences around me. Beasts were appearing around me from all directions.
'I should have thought of a way of covering the smell, but at least now, I get to get my revenge on those beasts that took away my prey.
It was night already and I expected most of the beasts to be resting but I forgot about the night hunters, they were all around me drawn by the smell of the meat I had just roasted.
I let them get closer and closer without making any movement but I still made preparations for them. On the ground, I drew arrays with earth magic and waited for them to get close enough to be within the range of effect.
Once they were a couple of metres away and all were within the range of my attacks I used the array on them.
Within the night sky for an instant, there was a sudden flash on the ground that disappeared in an instant.
The array that I had activated coursed a large of thunder through the beasts that were approaching me thus killing them in an instant.
I sat there eating the remaining part of my meal as the beasts were swallowed into the ground.
Once I was done, I went up into the night sky where I could get a better view of everything. Although it was already dark, I could still see fairly well.
Using radar I looked around my area searching for them but i could not find anything, while looking for them I had been attacked by several beasts.
In the end, I got tired and chose to head back to where my initial catch was.
I went around picking those I had buried on the ground and when I got to where the original ones were my veins were about to pope, in my underground bunker, I found several giant ants carrying my catch and taking them away through a hole.
With my anger out of control, I burned them all leaving nothing behind but their ashes and their cores that were not damaged by the fire.
"I am not going to take this twice in one day," I said in a loud roar.
I activated the arrays on my armour and gauntlet, mana began gathering around and with quick movements, I made my way through the tunnels the ants had dug, they had several turns, and after thirty minutes I had killed hundreds of these ants, I finally arrived a huge hall in the ground, inside it I found several ant-like magical beasts and they were all around a bigger and that was different from them. Aside from that, the sides of the hall were filled with beast bones only, there were no cores that I could see, but all those bones were huge and looked to be from magical beasts.
"You damned beast are what took my prey, time for payback," I said knowing very well they were unable to understand me.
The next second the beasts came rushing at me, it seemed they took it as a taunt.
My armour had used up most of its array but I had one more saved up, indestructible body, it was a skill that encased my body with an extremely dense layer of flexible light that was nearly unbreakable.
My gauntlets also had an array I could use, Deathly Blizzard, it was an improved version of Frost Touch, and thanks to the cores I had I was able to power them up.
I placed my hands on the ground turning the whole floor to ice and also making it slippery. Some fell but others moved, but there was no way I was going to let them get close to me. From the ground thin and highly condensed metal rose and pierced the beasts killing them the other had gotten up and with the same methods I killed them as well, the remaining ones near the largest of them had yet to move and when I looked in their direction they had mage like attacks on the ready, this was the oddest I had ever seen, none of the beasts I had come across were able to do this, this was a uniques trait. In the next second bursts of energy were aimed at me, thanks to my indestructible body I was not harmed but the structure was getting delicate, I used earth magic to reinforce it but the next second one of the ants was in front of me its pincers inches away, they got stuck at the edge of my indestructible body, from the scare it had given me everything happened so fast, condensed mana left my mouth and with a spark, I unleashed white flames on in turning it to ashes, the others were also not far from me, they could not break through my indestructible body and with the little time I gained I filled the air around us with a great amount of mana and with a spark set it on fire filling the area around me with white flames, the white flames that were still around me now moved in whisps since I was continuously replenishing them with a huge amount of mana.
Thanks to the shock I had gotten, I now had developed a new spell, as the white whips moved around me I felt in control but at the same time, my mana was getting drained.
The ants were now not moving leaving me to take the initiative, I fired some whisps at them it burned them up but when it hit them it started losing its power and turning blue, it burned only part of them then and they suddenly got the chance to come at me, taking all of them on was not going to be easy and so I chose to use more power to keep them away. The whisps still next to me began to shine with an even higher level of purity and when they came into contact with the ants it bore holes through them, I then moved forward to deal with the others.
In a couple of minutes, most of them had already died leaving me with the giant ant and two of the guarding ants. My white flame was out, if I kept on using it I would be out of mana in a couple of minutes.
'I need to save on mana, I'll have to use my martial art now,' I thought since I had no other option apart from running away and that was not happening. But I still needed to have radar on in case of any danger or if any of them were to come close to me and from behind me, also my indestructible body would stay activated because I still needed to defend myself. With that in an instant my gauntlets changed forming long swords in my hand, they still had the same inscriptions on them and the runed cores on them.
'Now I am ready for proper battle, I jumped towards the huge ant but before I went more than a metre forward one of the smaller ants on the other side of the larger one It had its pincers ready to battle but with my swords, I blocked the snapping pincers and in a quick movement brought the sword under it and stubbed a part of its flesh that was soft. A flame erupted at the tip of the sword opening the beast up, it was now missing a limb, and despite the pain, it raised its other limbs trying to strike me with my sword I cut off its limbs, Its pincers bit my indestructible body doing nothing to me.
"I just found my perfect weapon, thank you," I said satirically to the ant that was trying to break my indestructible body only making cracks forming before I raised my sword and beheaded it.
With the one I had just killed down leaving me with only two when I looked ahead one of them was not there, i then felt it behind me, it had tried sneaking behind me but with radar, I was able to find it.
It jumped at me fast with the aid of wind, It seemed to have been wind attributed, regardless I sent its head flying leaving me with only one target.
