Chapter 27 - Guests

Min

Aldin walked us into the final room, when we got in there, there was a massive bathtub in the middle filled with steaming water, the whole room was very hot and it even had a calming aura, runes were all over the room.

'Why does this feel like a dragon's lair,' I thought looking through the room, it is so warm and comfortable.

"I am sure you both want to freshen up, I'll make dinner as you get cleaned, you will find a new set of clothes when you get out," Aldin said as he walked out of the shower leaving before he left, Adam was already in the bath, naked and soaking in, the water immediately gained a brown hue but slowly turned back to clear colour, I took off my clothes and got in with him, Adam had seen my marks so I did not feel shy showing them to him.

The bath was so relaxing and comforting that I lost my senses and slept.

Aldin burst in as I was asleep. When I woke up from the sudden burst into the bath, I found Aldin staring down at me with a curious gaze as if he was looking down at an experiment.

Aldin Randell

I left the two men in the bath as I went and made dinner. Also with some of the boar, whose meat I was using, I made them some pants and shirts.

They were taking a lot of time in the shower so I went in to check on them. When I walked in I found them relaxing in the shower, but as I was about to inform them that dinner was ready, I noticed something that was underwater.

Min had his body immersed up to his neck, but since the water was clear I could see through to it, in the middle of his chest I could see a marking that was on it, it resembled those in my book, the more I looked into it the more it resembled those in the book that I had, suddenly he opened his eyes.

"What is the matter Aldin?" Min asked.

"What is that marking on your chest?" I asked him.

He immediately wore a shocked expression when I asked that question.

"Why do you ask?" Min asked.

"I just want to know," I answered in a tone that bore some of my frustration in.

"Sorry, I just really want to know about that mark, I have seen it somewhere and I would really like to know where it came from?" I said.

"I am sorry but I do not think i have any information on it," Min said.

"Sorry for disturbing you then," I said.

"Dinner is ready and a pair of clothes are set on the beds for you," I continued and left the room. I went over to my desk as I waited for them to get ready meanwhile I went back to the book that I had all those runes drawn into them, after again not getting any results. They walked out a couple of minutes later and I raised a table for us to dine on.

"Sorry I could not accrue any breath, I only have meat with me," I said as too walked over to the table.

After lying to Aldin I felt guilty but I was not going to tell him secret information with Adam there, he could have heard it and taking care of him would have been different.

I got out of the tub and so did Adam, we got dressed in the clothes Aldin had made us, they were surprisingly very comfortable.

After we got out and went to the other room, Aldin was reading a book when we walked out, he dropped the book he was reading and came over, as he put down the book, I could see the book's contents.

'How does he have that,' I thought to myself. As Aldin sat down I sat down not to draw any suspicion.

"Mhh, this is so good, I didn't know you carried food as well," Adam said gleefully.

"I didn't, I made it myself," Aldin said joyed at the praise Adam had just given him.

"It is really good," Adam said still stuffing his face with more food.

"What do you think of it?" Aldin asked facing me.

I instantly snapped from my daze and looked at him, this kid was full of wonders and mystery and he even had a rune book, and he was like me but he did not know anything.

"It's amazing," I said after tasting it.

"I am glad you like it," Aldin said.

We enjoyed the meal but at the back of my mind, I was still in thought not knowing what to do.

"Since you have all enjoyed the meal, I wanted to ask something, do any of you know how to dismantle beasts?" Aldin said.

"Yes, we do, we have been travelling around and know how to," Adam said.

"Then I was asking if you could all help me, I will provide you all with all you need?" Aldin asked.

"Okay, I agree to it," Adam said.

"So do I," I added in. 'If I have to find out more, I need to stick close to him to observe him a bit more,'

After the meal, Adam and I got to work, Aldin thought had gone to bed, but after a couple of hours of doing the work, Adam left and went to bed, I stayed there and went over to the desk, when I opened the book, Isaw the runes, as I perused the page, I realised it was nothing of what I thought it was.

'If it is not what I thought, then what is it?' I asked myself.

I looked through the book but I could get nothing from it, in the end, I gave up and went on with dismantling the beast before I finally got tired and decided to head to bed, as I was walking into the room, Aldin came out of it.

"Get some rest, when Adam wakes inform him that I will be back in a few hours, I just have to deal with something real quick, and I will make a meal for you all," Aldin said as he walked out of the room.

When I walked into the room, I found several of the beasts I had already dismantled, one of them was the drake I had hunted down when I met them.

The core was set apart from the rest, I first made a pillar for its growth and placed it there, I then went through the ingredients that were there.

Among them was their blood that was there and also its through, a smile formed on my face as I thought of it.

'A bomb it is, I will make those damn bugs pay.' using the ingredients I began making bombs for the hunt.

I had several of them at the end of it all.

Before I left I made sure to make Min and the other guy a meal. I wore my armour and got my swords ready as I went back to the surface.

When Aldin came out of the ground he was met by a giant snake, he was startled when he saw it and with one move sliced off it's head. Meanwhile, a giant water-attributed wolf began creeping up to me, it had been waiting to attach the snake but Aldin had come between it and its expected meal..

The beast though was very peculiar, it had leaned more on the ice side of the water attribute its fur was snow white rather than normal wolves, and its nails looked like ice and were partially clear, its eyes a light hue of blue and the air around it was cold. It walked towards Aldin.

'Good prey…. Stay there,' the beast thought to itself, it was in the fifth tier and thus had more consciousness than any that Aldin had killed before.

It crept behind Aldin without making a sound unbeknownst to it, Aldin knew as it approached him, as it was about to bite Aldin's head he moved to the side evading its jaws.

Aldin turned back to face it, the beast was shocked to see this but not having learnt its lesson, it pounced at Aldin aiming to bite him but he evaded again. The beast now was getting furious, it jumped at Aldin again and this time it was taking things seriously.

The air around them became misty and ice shards formed in the air, they all flew towards Aldin. Aldin manoeuvred evading them. As he moved back there were ice shards behind him, they moved onto him and almost dented his armour but it was alright, Aldin went up in the air to avoid more of its attacks. Aldin while in the sky looked down at the giant Fenrir wolf, Out of nowhere, light fell from the sky onto Aldin but using a light construct he was able to save himself from the attack.

Before he could react the giant Fenrir had jumped towards him and was only a metre away from him in that second.
