Chapter 11: Club Orientation: Academics
Note: Now and then I will be using the Cube classes to introduce things I think are important. Also, I will be making my own timeline for this fanfic, so some things may not line up with TNE's timeline.

[Korea, Cube, 14:57, 2025, February]
"So, Suho," C2 said stuffing pizza into his mouth. "Let me get this straight… you've been contacted by the current number one guild [Creator's Sacred Grace], and they want to recruit you?" He said in sheer amazement, while Kim Suho just gave him an awkward nod.
"You do know that it's illegal for guilds to recruit Cadets before they graduate right? It's a base fine of five hundred million Won* just for normal Cadets." Pausing for a moment C2 drank some soda. "Not to say someone like us who's in the Top 10 Cadets. If I were to guess I'd say it would be… around five billion Won*? Not too sure as the laws around it are kinda loose." He said leaning slightly forward and pointing his finger at Suho.
"Fi-five billion!? It's that much???" Suho exclaimed. Five hundred million would've already been enough to put his family in a huge debt that would take decades to pay off.
"Oh yeah… but that's only my guesstimate. Could be more could be less." Taking the last piece of pizza C2 stuffed it into his mouth. "Anyway, Suho I gotta go I have my orientation with the Academics Club. See ya later." Standing up C2 said this.
"Hmm… thanks for the help and see you later C2," Suho said giving him a wave.

Walking through the halls of Cube, C2 could be seen skipping while humming a little tune, for the first month of doing this the cadets looked at him like he was crazy, but by this point, they had gotten used to it.
"You gotta live in life~" He hummed as he opened the door to the Academics Club. Looking around he found one of the reasons he joined this club, Yeonha. He would be getting closer to her for two main reasons, one, cause she's fun, and two, sugar mommy.
As for why he thinks of her being sugar mommy material? There are a couple of different reasons. One, she has shown that once she got closer to Hajin in The Novel's Extra she began to slowly exhibit stalker behavior that as the novel went on got worse and worse. Two, she's the heir of Essence Of The Strait and is the future [Queen Of Seoul], basically, she's going to be rolling in so much money she could buy several small-sized and medium-sized countries and still have money left over. And three, she is surprisingly easy, very easy even, all you have to do is get her interested in you as Hajin did in the original and keep it up, and then, BOOM, you have an obsessive borderline Yandere on your hands.
And the second reason he joined the Academics Club? To learn new things he may not know of course. Though in all likelihood, he would not be learning anything he didn't already know. But you never know, a new perspective may be what he needed. Walking over to Yeonha he sat down beside her without a sound.
"Boo~" C2 whispered into the poor unsuspecting girl's ear scaring the everliving shit out of her.
"AWAWAWA," She cried out both from surprise but also from him being so close to her suddenly.
"Scared ya? Didn't I?" C2 said still whispering in her ear, and Yeonha just gave him a stiff nod. Blowing into her ear he leaned away as she shuttered from it.
"You're quite funny and boring y'know?" He said taking out his Switch and started playing some Monster Hunter. Yeonha didn't react to this comment but she had a faint blush on her face from the interaction.
"So did you figure out my riddle yet?" He asked offhandedly still focusing on his game.
"I did C.C. or should I call you [Magician Third]?" Yeonha said with a confident smirk on her face.
"You did it! Finally! Took you WAY longer than I anticipated…" C2 said clapping(somehow) while still focusing on his game. "Also call me C2. You've earned it…" He said it like it was an afterthought of no importance.
"YES!" Yeonha accidentally let out an exclamation but quickly started to blush at what she had just done.
"How cute~ I didn't know you had such a side~" C2 said with a teasing smile on his face making Yeonha blush even harder. "Sooooo~ do you want to ask some questions now or later?"
"Later please," She said not being able to form a coherent thought from the embarrassment.
"Later it is then~" C2 said with clear amusement in his voice. Meanwhile, a very confused Author sat behind them wondering what happened to his character and why she was blushing so much. A bit after the Club President walked up on stage and took the mic.
"Nice to meet you all! My name is Yun Hyuk and I am the President of the Academics Club, Scientia*, which means Knowledge, Science, or Skill." Yun Hyuk explained with a smile on his face.
"Since today is just an orientation we'll only be briefly discussing what our club is about." He said clearing his throat. "Here in Scientia, we discuss monster classification, their behavioral patterns, how to identify vital points, understanding their attributes, and strategies for efficient subjugation." Yun Hyuk said taking out a laser pointer and turning on the Hologram screen behind him.
"Now I'll give a quick example. Let's take a look at this monster…" He said pointing at the screen as a picture of a 2-meter-wide Scallop with blue lines running over its shell. "As I'm sure most of you know this is a [Totem Scallop]." Yun Hyuk said looking at the (mostly female)audience.
"But just in case let me explain." Yun Hyuk said with the same fake smile as before. "[Totem Scallop] a High-Intermediate Grade 3 monster known for their extremely high intelligence and use of magic. And just like the name suggests they produce Totems instead of Pearls like normal Scallops. They are normally very gentle but as soon as something enters their territory they become very aggressive. The Totems they produce are highly valued leading to them often being targets of Guilds." Yun Hyuk cheerfully explained.
"Now as you could guess Totem Scallops are hard to kill due to their shells and magic. However, under careful analysis, we can see that they are practically no different from their normal counterparts. Sadly there are no other Monsters that share similarities with them so their vital spot is yet to be discovered." Yun Hyuk continued about the Totem Scallop.

To say C2 was bored from this would be an understatement. All Yun Hyuk talked about was those Totem Scallops for the whole orientation, nothing else. Groaning he stood up.
"See you later I guess…" C2 said to Yeonha deflated as he walked away.
"Ah, yes. I will see you later as well C2." Yeonha said in an overly polite tone.
"Yeah, yeah buh-bye…" He waved exiting the room.

Fact #2: [Dungeons]. This phenomenon is typically associated with a High Magic Power saturation of an area, but this couldn't be further from the truth. Even if it is somewhat related, in actuality, Dungeons come from [World Fragments]. These Fragments determine what kind of Dungeon is spawned. While yes, the environment where the Dungeon spawns also determines what kind it is, it's mostly the [World Fragments] that determines it, a Fire Attribute Dungeon could spawn at the bottom of the ocean with the right [World Fragment].
