Chapter 18 - Chapter 14

Chapter 14: [Suhyhqw Wkh Dgyhqw Ri Wkh Ehdvw]

Please note that all PoV's when it comes to Hajin are in the First person and have an unreliable narrator(Hajin). While most other PoVs share the same qualities they are just slightly more reliable compared to his.

====================

{PoV: Kim Hajin(Fuck Hajin. All my homies hate Hajin.)}

"Hey!" I shouted at Suho. "Move!" And without even looking back he jumped to the side, noticing this I saw the Djinn stretch its arm out to follow after him, this, however, only increased the surface area for me to hit. Now with a slightly calmer mind, I pulled the trigger of my handgun, and a bright flash erupted from the barrel, it was so bright you'd think I'd just used a flash grenade instead of shooting a gun. The Bullet itself was emitting so much pressure and heat that my gun simply couldn't take it anymore and exploded in my hand, nearly crippling it.

Fragments of it fell to the ground, red hot, as I writhed in an immense amount of agony from not only briefly holding red hot metal, but also from the recoil and some of the fragments embedding themselves in my hand. This thankfully(and luckily) didn't change the bullet's trajectory as it stuck true to where I aimed, striking the Djinn's right arm, purifying it as the secondary exploding in the bullet triggered—Bull's Eye. The Djinn thus lost its arm, permanently. Seeing this, the already half-dead Chae Nayun limply fell to the ground. I saw Suho quickly react and he was about to attack the Djinn but before he could a green blur appeared behind it as a hand shot through its chest holding the still-beating heart, almost making me puke at the sight.

"This bastard sure did a number on ya huh Suho?" I heard the person, whom I now recognize as Cadet C.C., say to Kim Suho with a smirk on his face. Feeling a little tug on my shirt I turn around.

"...Mh?" I mumble as I see a small brown-haired child* tugging on my shirt. The child then suddenly took my hand as a green glow came out of their hand and completely healed my hand, even extracting the fragments from it. I see… this was the child with the [Authority Of Healing] the [Hero Association] barely managed to find later in the novel… "Thanks," I say with a small smile on my face as I give them a soft headpat. As the child ran away I received my first real notification from the Laptop.

[Suhyhqw Wkh Dgyhqw Ri Wkh Ehdvw(Quest)]

—The 'Co-Author' requests you prevent the individual known as 'C.C.' from Dgyhqw Dv D Ehdvw.

—This request is made not only in your own best interest but also the entire World's interest.

—Failure to complete this Quest will most likely result in Wkh Froodsvh Ri Wkh Kxpdq Rughu.

—You cannot refuse this.

"Gueeeek!" Chase Nayun emptying the contents of her stomach snapped me out of my stupor. She continued to vomit almost as if she was coughing up blood. I suddenly remembered the reason she picked a Bow even though she was more compatible with a Sword, it was quite similar to mine for picking a Gun. Though she seemed tough on the outside, inside she was still a sheltered young lady who was afraid of blood and getting hurt. I saw both Suho and Cadet C.C. walk up to her, Suho then began patting her back only to be swiped away by her, meanwhile, Cadet C.C. simply handed her towel and walked away giving Chae Nayun and Suho a small wave. He also gave me a small nod and then disappeared from the museum.

Again Suho tried helping her by giving her small pats on the back only to be swiped away again. "Leave her be, I'm sure her Older Brother will come and console her," I said thoughtlessly still pondering over the quest I got from the 'Co-Author'. But in reality, it was that way things would turn out, her Older Brother would come first and console her, and then her Father would clean everything up. But It seems she took my indifference as an insult.

"You… you! Gueeek!" She managed to say this before she started to puke again, her bloodshot eyes glared at me in hate. She wanted someone to blame for her ruined appetite, as unlike Yoo Yeonha she was a real Lady. Anything but the absolute highest-quality food would upset her stomach, and seeing a cockroach or rat could ruin her appetite for a day, let alone this.

"...you" Suho tried to say something but I cut him off. "I'll head out first," I said to Suho who was looking at me stiffly, I needed time to think. Not only was the Djinn's far greater than it was in the Novel but I also got a quest from the Co-Author. Leaving aside the quest for now as I have no idea how to start. But what I don't know is why the Djinn's strength was so much higher either. It's frustrating.

{PoV: Yun Seung-Ah(Creator's Sacred Grace(Rank 1 Guild), Vice-Guild Master)}

With graceful swings of her swords, Yun Seung-Ah weaved and sliced through hoards of monsters, she looked almost like she was dancing with how graceful she was with her movements. Her steps came to a halt as all the monsters in her area had been eliminated, with a light swing of each sword toward the ground two curving blood splatters formed from the blood that was once on her swords. Bringing her right hand up to her face she wiped the blood off her cheek. The everyday bystanders looked on in awe at her display, in their eyes an unshakeable respect and admiration could be seen. Not only did they get to see this magnificent display of martial prowess, but they also saw one of the most popular Heroines of the current century in action, this would make a great bar story for years to come.

"You can be rest assured now," She said giving the crowd a small smile and wave, as a light breeze picked up and blew her light-brown hair slightly.

"Vice-Master!" She heard a gruff, coarse voice call out to her. Turning around she found one of her subordinates running up to her.

"A Djinn has appeared at the National Weapons Museum!" The gruff man shouted causing a stir in civilians nearby.

"...What?" She asked in a confused tone as she tilted her head slightly, a question mark nearly visible over her head like in a cartoon.

"You should head over imediat— Wh–what?" The man said before he quickly held his receiver to his ear. "Ah, yes." He said talking into the receiver.

"What's wrong?" She said gripping the man's shoulders.

"Umm, apparently the Djinn has already been dealt with… There were three Cube Cadets at the museum when the attack started and a fourth joined in and finished it off." The man said with some nervousness in his voice as Yun Seoung-Ah was still gripping his shoulders.

"Hmm! And who were they!?" She asked with excitement in her voice as she shook the man back and forwards.

"It was Cadet C.C., Cadet Kim Suho, Cade Chae Nayun, and—" However before he could finish she was already gone as a violent gale formed from the sheer speed Yun Seoung-Ah ran at. Arriving in front of the museum she saw a rather ordinary young man walking out from it. Upon noticing her the young man flinched slightly before quickly bowing.

"Hello." The young man said to her rather respectfully, still bowing.

'Does he know me from somewhere? Well, there aren't many who don't know me after all…' She thought for but a brief moment before pushing it to the back of her mind, even if it felt somewhat weird and out of place.

"Ah, yes hello." She quickly greeted back. "Did something happen inside?" With a questioning tone, she asked the young man.

"Yes, a Djinn appeared, it was taken care of though." The young man said with a slightly distracted tone of voice.

"Ah, I see… and you are?" Yun Seoung-Ah nodded and asked who the young man was.

"I'm a Cube Cadet. Kim Hajin." The young man– no Kim Hajin said giving her another small bow. The strange feeling she had before was gone at his words. Although she was acting humble, it was only normal for a Cadet to freeze up before her, one of the most popular Heroines in not just Korea but the whole World. It was completely normal, and even a common occurrence for them to either freeze up or be nervous when in front of her. "Oh, I see. Thank you." She said with a small nod.

"If that was all I'll be going now, the person you're looking for is inside anyway." Kim Hajin said, a smile decorating his lips with zero hint of nervousness as he walked away. Yun Seoung-Ah observed him for a moment as he walked away.

"Who is he…?" She muttered. 'Kim Hajin was it? Not a name I'm familiar with at all… He was quite daring for a new cadet… no that aside how did he know who I came for?' Pondering for a moment she sauntered into the museum. The inside of it displayed clear signs of a battle, tiles broken and scratched some still on the floor but most were lay in pieces all over the museum, along with other debris like broken glass. The Dark-Attribute Mana could still be felt all over the place.

"NAYUN!" She heard a bellowing shout come from behind her, turning around she a familiar middle-aged man, Chae Nayun's Father Chae Shinhyuk.

"Chae Shinhyuk-ssi?" She said with a surprised tone.

"Vice-Master Yun Seoung-Ah?" He responded in kind.

"Ah… you must've been busy lately. It's been a while, should we go in together?" She asked as she pointed deeper into the museum.

{PoV: Kim Hajin("A little bit of shit. A little baby of shit. A little baby-sized shit." – The G.O.A.T Jame Randal)}

A telephone pole bent in half was embedded into the street, a smashed car was sticking out the museum wall, and various other things lay strung across the street. Finding an unoccupied bench I sat down and watched as the Heroes ran around and cleaned up the mess. I was in a panic. The story had changed, and not just by a small amount. If this was truly my World then none of this could have happened, sure there may have been an anomaly by the name of 'Kim Hajin' but he shouldn't have had enough of an effect to change things this much. But then a thought flashed across my mind.

The 'Co-Author'. I had forgotten I wasn't the only Author of this story anymore. This World wasn't my World anymore, no, it was a Remake of it. A feeling of pure emptiness* washed over me. I was no longer in charge. Why was I so relaxed? This is no longer the world I wrote. Live a comfortable life? Yeah, right, that was impossible from the start. Like they stopped me from modifying my Invariable Stats, they wouldn't let that happen. I had been dancing around their palm this entire time, my life was no longer mine.

WIIIING–! At that moment my laptop vibrated like a phone.

[Flaw. There is no semblance of danger for the main character and others. If the story continues this way, the readers would become bored thinking, "The main character will win anyways."]

"This crazy motherfucker–" I nearly shouted out loud but kept inside. No Danger? Of course, there's no you damn amateur! Readers don't like extreme danger*! However, there were two more lines below.

[Makeshift solution. Even if things become a mess, increase the power of antagonists.]

[Notice! The Individual 'C.C.' is an anomaly that was neither in the original nor meant to be in this Remake.]

'What. In. The. Actual. Fuck!?' What do you mean he was never meant to be in this version? He's clearly here! And what about increasing the power of the antagonists!? That's just plain reckless you amateur!

====================

Fact #5:

[Gifts]. The phenomenon that came with the advent of [Towers] and [Dungeons]. Not much is known about how they manifest, and most if not all, of it is mainly speculation. Most believe they are God-Given, thus the name [Gifts]. However, they are just a rare occurrence of the Soul manifesting in the form of a supernatural power. The Gifts can only manifest in a set number of ways depending on the Souls [Talent] and [Origin]. For example, Kim Suho has the Talent and Origin of Sword thus manifesting in the form of his [Psedo-Authority Gift]— [Sword Saint]. [Authorities] are something else entirely though.

====================

Note 1: I'm just assuming in this Fanfic that Kim Hajin doesn't know the gender of the child. She's a female btw, her name is Yi Yuri.

Note 2: I'd rather classify the feeling as one of pure cosmic fear upon realizing that he is just a speck of dust in the vast river of time and the cosmos. Although I can't have him say stuff like that as it wouldn't fit his character, if it was C2 I could get away with it though.

Note 3: This is something Hajin said in the original btw. Not my opinion as both a reader and author.

====================

Hmmm, another chapter lol. Around 2k words. I also forgot to mention something last chapter btw. I change the Aria on his Noble Phantasm to:

"Within this Golden World, All Sins shall fall."

"ORBIS AUREUS MEUS EST, EGO REGULAS FAC!"

And

"Within this Tarnished World, virtue shall fade to black."

"MUNDUS CORRUPTUS MEUS EST, NEGO REGULAM DEI!"

Also, I've changed my rules you can now ask any question in the comments about the novel, of course, I won't answer every question if I think it's too spoilery. Now I don't have more to say rn now so have another Music recommendation and begone or something idk. Harpy Hare by Yaelokre
