Chapter 20 - Ch. 20 – Selling Materials

As he deliberated, he considered various factors such as the current market demand, the potential profit margins, and the level of effort required for each method.

In the end, Yves leaned towards selling the materials directly to a shop. He was confident in his negotiation capabilities and knew that he could easily research the current market value of the materials he planned to sell.

Additionally, by selling directly to a shop, he could receive the money instantly, allowing him to purchase the materials needed for the Blueberry Blood Shrub's evolution without delay.

"Alright." Yves said, nodding to himself. "It appears that selling directly to a shop is the most suitable choice for my situation."

Yves accessed the holographic interface once more. Moving to the search section, he typed in the names of each material he possessed, excited to see their current market value.

With ease, Yves navigated through the interface, quickly retrieving the price range for each item. He couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction as he noted that his materials were priced higher than average. This was thanks to his careful extraction techniques and Taro's skillful battles, ensuring that the items were in top-notch condition without any damage.

"Phew." Yves thought with a relieved smile. "Thank goodness Taro's abilities don't leave a scratch on those monsters."

"Even if there is a mark, it's not messy. Taro's attacks are precise, and the shadow effect of his skill isn't like a fire that burns or acid that corrodes."

"Furthermore, these shadow effects could be effortlessly removed by Taro, guaranteeing that the monster parts remained intact and valuable."

He paused, considering the other side. "If it were any different. I'd likely have to settle for much lower prices."

Thinking over where to sell his materials, he realized he had plenty of options. Scrolling through the available stores, he applied filters to narrow down his choices, focusing for those with excellent reviews.

Suddenly, a memory sparked in his mind. "Oh, what about Crystal's shop?" He recalled purchasing materials from her in the past and even receiving a great discount.

Considering the possibility, he added. "I'm not sure if she's buying materials, but there's a high chance." Yves searched for Crystal's store and tapped the teleport button on the screen.

The interface flashed a familiar message: "Teleporting to 'Mystica's Shop' in 3... 2... 1..."

As the teleportation was completed, Yves found himself standing in front of the familiar facade of Mystica's Shop. Without hesitation, he stepped inside, the door chiming softly as it swung open.

Inside the shop, Yves's eyes quickly found the figure of a girl behind the counter. With her striking violet hair and eyes, she was hard to miss, and her pretty face greeted him warmly.

Approaching the counter, Yves caught the girl's attention before she could utter a word. "Hello there." he began with a friendly smile. "Do you still remember me, Miss Crystal?"

Crystal couldn't help but burst into laughter at Yves's question. Her melodious giggle echoed through the shop. "Remember you? Oh, trust me, Mr. Crow, you're not someone easily forgotten."

"Of course, I remember you, Mr. Crow! How could I forget my most loyal customer, right?"

"Welcome back to Mystica's Shop. What can I do for you today?" she addressed him, her smile as bright as the sun.

Yves grinned at Crystal's response. "Well, you know me, Crystal." he replied, leaning casually on the counter. "Always searching for the best deals in town. And where better to find them than at Mystica's Shop?"

Crystal chuckled. "You've got that right, Mr. Crow." she agreed. "We've always got something special brewing here. So, what brings you in today? Anything specific you're looking for?"

Yves nodded, his grin widening. "Actually, Crystal. I'm here with something a bit different today." he said, his tone turning slightly more business-like.

"You see, I've got a few good-quality materials that I'm looking to part ways with. And I thought, who better to sell them to than my favorite shop owner?" he continued.

Crystal's eyebrows lifted in interest, her curiosity piqued.

"Oh? Rare materials, you say?" "Well, you've certainly got my attention, Mr. Crow. What kind of resources are we talking about here?"

With a confident smile, Yves began listing the materials he had extracted from the Numbing Rat and Rocktail Horned Rabbit – claws, incisors, tails, legs, and ears. However, he held back on mentioning the Rocktail Horned Rabbit's Horn, hinting at a different plan for that particular item.

While Yves spoke, he activated his storage space ring, retrieving the materials and causing them to appear in front of the counter. Crystal's eyes widened as she took in the assortment of resources.

With a keen eye, Crystal started inspecting each item meticulously, picking them up one by one and examining them closely. She ran her fingers along the smooth surface of the claws, inspected the sharpness of the incisors, and checked the flexibility of the tails and legs.

After a few minutes of thorough examination, Crystal straightened up and met Yves' gaze with a satisfied smile. "All of these materials are in their top-notch condition." she declared.

"I'm more than willing to buy all of this from you. Let's discuss the price, shall we?"

"Absolutely." Yves replied, his own smile mirroring Crystal's. "Let's talk numbers."

"Alright. Give me a couple of minutes, please." she said. "I'll need to calculate the value of these materials based on current market prices and their condition."

Crystal gathered the materials into a neat pile and turned towards her holographic interface, fingers dancing over the display as she inputted various figures and calculations.

Minutes passed as Crystal focused intently on her task, her brow furrowed in concentration. Yves waited patiently, watching with interest as she worked.

Finally, Crystal straightened up and turned back to Yves, a satisfied smile playing on her lips. "Here's what I can offer you for these materials."

Inclining towards her, Yves listened attentively as Crystal listed the prices for each item, her words flowing smoothly as she detailed the value of each material:

"I will buy 36 Numbing Rat's Claws at $50 each, 8 Numbing Rat's Incisors at $150 each, 2 Numbing Rat's Tails at $80 each, 2 Rocktail Horned Rabbit's Ears at $200 each, 6 Rocktail Horned Rabbit's Incisors at $500 each, 4 Rocktail Horned Rabbit's Legs at $300 each, and 1 Rocktail Horned Rabbit's Tail at $300."

Crystal paused momentarily to let the figures sink in before continuing. "The total value of these materials comes to..." She glanced at her calculations once more before announcing. "Let's see... $10,620."

Despite the initial temptation to negotiate further, Yves recognized that Crystal's offer was already more than fair. Not only did it meet his expectations, but it also surpassed them.

Moreover, he remembered the discount Crystal had offered him during their previous interactions, and he appreciated her willingness to provide a favorable deal.

Yves understood the importance of maintaining a good relationship with his business partners. By acknowledging when a fair offer had been presented and knowing when to accept it graciously, he ensured that both parties benefited from the transaction.

In this case, Yves was content with the outcome, confident that he had made the right decision by accepting Crystal's offer without pushing for more.

Crystal nodded with a smile, her eyes reflecting a mutual sense of satisfaction. "Excellent." she replied. "I'll prepare the payment for you right away."

While Crystal navigated through her interface, Yves sensed an opportunity to quicken the process. "Would you like me to provide my QR code for the payment?" he offered politely.

Crystal looked up, a hint of gratitude in her expression. "That would be helpful, thank you. If you could show me your QR code, we can complete the transaction more swiftly."
